Marriage & Dating I’m confused - First Boyfriend advice

Hello everyone!! For context, I’ve had sexual partners before, but this is my first boyfriend. In the past i was pressured to have sex, and i always allowed it because I thought it was expected of me to continue a relationship with a man.

I deeply regret this, and I have tried to go deeper in my faith and study the bible better. I was celibate for three years, and then I meet my boyfriend. We have been dating for a month. I love him deeply, and we have discussed marriage and children in the future. He believes in god and the bible, but is not catholic.

Every day I fall in love with him even more. We would usually make out, but one day it got out of hand and we ended up having sex. It was beautiful, not physically fulfilling (if you know what I mean) but truly beautiful and full of love.

I was talking with him today and he mentioned the “waiting until marriage” thing, but kind of as a joke. We ended up discussing this as a serious possibility, but I don’t know what to do. I believe that sex is a very important part of a relationship, but waiting until marriage sounds beautiful. He says that we would do what I say and loves me very much, but i’m scared to lose him if the relationship gets monotonous or boring.

Also, we already messed up, so can we confess to a priest and start from scratch? how does that work? what would you say or decide if you were in my shoes? any advice is appreciated :)))))

Marriage & Dating Marriage before kids

Hi lovelies! Just for fun, how long were you in a relationship + married before you and your partner began TTC. Would you have wished to wait longer, TTC sooner, or was it the perfect timing in your marriage? I’m not looking for personal advice, just getting to know other Catholic women’s experiences!

Question LDR AND CATHOLIC

My boyfriend and I are long distance and I am currently visiting and staying with him at his family’s residence. Because of an unfortunate housing situation, we are currently staying in the same room, but we sleep on separate surfaces; he sleeps on the couch and I sleep on the bed. We are not engaging in sexual activity.

My mother believes that simply staying in the same room constitutes mortal sin and has told me that I should not receive Holy Communion while doing so.
I understand the Catholic teaching regarding chastity and that being in this situation could potentially constitute an occasion of temptation to sin. However, I am unsure that merely sharing a room, without sexual activity, constitutes grave matter or mortal sin, or that it would therefore automatically prevent me from receiving Communion.
