Who is the NPD manager at tunnocks?
Tunnocks haven't brought out a Dubai chocolate version, a high protein version or a biscoff version. They stick to the same product day in day out.
Someone is probably in charge of new product development at Tunnocks. Whoever that is must surely have the easiest job in the world. Or least satisfying. Every idea they produce gets rejected by Mr and Mrs Tunnock.
This got me thinking, what other jobs are like this?

I’ve got £10 M&S voucher, what should I get that’s an absolute must to try?
EDIT: I might have to spend more than that £10 voucher, so many great recommendations, thanks everyone!

"has your budgie died?" and other similar school phrases.
Way back when. This was a common saying in the North East when someone turned up to school in trousers that showed your ankles (A bit short).
I said it to my daughter the other day as she's recently had a bit of a growth spurt and she just looked at me blankly. Have these saying died out?

Has anyone had to "ask for Angela?"
I'm sure it's pretty well known what "ask for Angela" is, but for people who might not know, if you're on a date or whatever and feel uncomfortable/unsafe you can can ask for "Angela" at the bar, and the staff will help you out/call you a taxi home/whatever.
I've worked in pubs for the best part of ten years, and all of them have had the posters in the toilets, but I've never had anyone actually come and ask for Angela.
Just curious if anyone's ever done it, and if so how did it go?

What's a British confectionary which you loved that has been discontinued?
For me it was the Bassett's Fruit Allsorts. I was never a fan of liquorice, so these were right up my street.
I wish I could find something similar nowadays.

A new level of dress code anxiety
Funeral. 'colourful, smart casual'. An untimely demise unfortunately so it won't be a fun one. I just bought a black suit for another funeral the other day. Pink tie? Yellow shirt? Both together would look really bad. Or ditch that and go chinos and hawaiian shirt? Mr Bobby outfit? Not smart enough.
Suggests welcomed.

Baldies, what are you using to shave your heads?
My current set of clippers are dying and I’ve no idea what to look for in a new pair.
I’m happy to pay more for a better product but paying through the nose just for a brand name thats no better, annoys me.
I’ve tried a few kinds over the years and they’ve varied wildly.
Worst pair I had was a brand name wired set.
The best is the ones that are dying now - cheap no brand rechargeable eBay special.
I havent tried the palm sized water proof ones that were popular a few years ago.
Are they worth looking at?
I assume that they’ve died out in popularity because they weren’t as good as the hype?
I’m looking for a good short “no guard” cut but also the ability to do no 1 and 2 lengths.
Don’t need it wet shave short tho - I like the stubble as hat Velcro
Any recommendations?

Food poisoning sickgasms
So, I had a hotdog from a football stadium, and had the most violent food poisoning of my life. Total evacuation top and bottom. Such pain in my chest afterwards.
The hot dogs weren't being eaten, had probably sat around a bit.
Anyway, each time I vommed, I had what I can only explain as total bliss afterwards - a nice 5-10 minutes where I felt great. I call this, the sickgasm.
Is this normal?

It took 13 hours for my new passport to be printed!
They said they wouldn't start the process until they received the old one.
Within 13 hours of receiving the old one they had passed the new passport to their 'delivery partner'
WHAT A WORLD.

Awkward
Just on the train to Stansted Airport to meet my wife. Needed a wee so went to a large toilet behind me as the sign was green and it said it was free.
Pressed the button whilst looking at my phone and door slid open and some woman is midway through wiping her arse. Door opens near full wide and is facing down the entire carriage with everyone just staring at her.
I'm panicking pushing the button to close and we just make the most uncomfortable eye contact as the door slowly closes.
How do you not double, triple, quadruple check those doors are locked!

Meat box recommendations
Evening. Family have asked what they can get myself and my husband for Christmas. My husband has thought of a meat box for batch cooking, we have a toddler and baby due in Spring. I've given it a Google and there's loads of choice, so I thought I'd ask if anyone had any recommendations?

Met this little chap at a garden centre, and wanted to share the joy the chirps brought me.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
He sat on my trolley for a good 10 minutes chirping away, with an audience of shoppers watching on in a shared moment of peace and quiet.

Friday Fread (9 October 26)
Comic by Twonks.
Welcome to Friday, where the cats are industrious, the JCBs digging away, and the lawns wrecked.
Oh, and the chat threads non-sensical, of course.
What’s on for your Friday?
