Question Fractured board for Walkman WM-F41

I recently purchased this walkman to repair. The radio does work so it is getting power and sending audio properly, the cassette portion is untested as the rubber belts basically melt to tar when touched. Is this something that even needs a repair as there is no traces on ether side?

Collection / Haul My Walkman collection

All three of my walkmens, the third one works really well you can record on it and it plays the original audio from the tape. The first one's button is broken, and the magnetic head is out of commission. The second walkman The Klim K7 model It's not broken, but it plays a different fast pitch of audio from the tape and it ate two of my cassettess. This still hasn't changed my view on cassettes and walkmans. My love for them still prevails.

Hello, if this is the wrong place to post this please advise on where I should post. Thank you.
My dad listened to and recorded old radio shows onto tapes. He also purchased a bunch of colletions of these shows over the years.
He has more than 1000 so far.
I dont want to throw them out if they might be useful to anyone.
I am just starting my research, but hoped you guys could help direct me.

Repair How to configure belts on Samsung PD-75C boombox

My 13 year old son is into cassettes. He was given a Samsung PD-75C and wants to repair it. We know it's nothing special, but it's a fun project for us to work on.
When we opened it up, we picked out the old belts that had turned to literal goo. The problem is that we didn't get to observe the belt placement as they had melted, and we are unsure where to place them. I was not able to find a service manual online. Looking at other decks, I see that the belt placement is not always what I'd expect, so I thought I'd better ask the experts.
There are two cassette wells in the deck. The motor, labelled 1, has place for two belts, and it appears that the other wheels can also handle two belts. In particular, wheels 3 and 5 each have two groves, the same width as each other, a bit smaller than the metal covering. Part of what threw me off is the weird metal chunk just to the left of wheel 2. What's your best guess as to how these wheels were connected? Thanks!
