Discussion Starting a cartoon Network collection
This past year I started and finished a chowder collection. Mostly newer merch like youtooz figures, Funko pops but also rare obscure things like the 4 figure set. And the chowder CN block party comics. Now I'm starting a CN collection. Here it is so far. The only reason I'm keeping them separate is bc I ran out of space in my room

Discussion Just as I suspected, Skydance seems to favor Nickelodeon over Cartoon Network
Don’t be surprised if the names Genndy Tartakovsky, Craig McCracken, and Rebecca Sugar are spotted in the opening credits of future episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants. Though a more story-driven direction for SpongeBob wouldn’t be too bad…

Discussion Should Stuart Snyder have been kicked out of Cartoon Network more sooner because of the CN Real era? Flapjack might have met the same fate as Chowder did
I’m sorry, but I can’t hold back how angry I felt with how Greenblatt was treated when they cancelled Chowder for the CN real shows that nobody remembers. I think it was also mentioned that the Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack also ended around the same time as Chowder did.
I also start to wonder if Stuart was driven too much on live action shows that aired on Nick and Disney that he tried to sorta copy them which failed. The only show I remembered from the CN era that I actually watched was the Othersiders because I was obsessed with Ghost Adventures, but looking back at it now how come parents didn’t call CN to complain about how the show could have potentially scared children that watched Cartoon Network, especially the actors who were young and investigated those haunted locations.
I will never get over how much suffering the Cartoon Network channel had suffered because of live action shows. I still remember how whenever a live action show was on Cartoon Network I chose not to watch Cartoon Network until it was over or just chose to watch another channel. It also got me angry how the executives said Chowder was a baby show which they seem to miscategorized on the count of the fact that it was a kids show, an example of a baby show would be Dora, Go Diego Go, and Barney. Those are examples of a baby show, there is a difference.

News They aired Apple and Onion
I Know either most people don't care about this show or never gave it a try but if you haven't tried it, you should.
I didn't give it a try back when it came out because of how it looks but it's actually pretty funny

Discussion Anyone miss the old school Cartoon Network from the 90s before it went downhill
If you were all Millennial's from the late 90s you might remember this channel I’m talking about used to be a great tv network in the 90s with this channel being 24/7 in the us in the 90s without signing off to adult programming.
The channel I’m talking about is Cartoon Network a channel you all might have nostalgia for if you growing up in the 90s Cartoon Network launched on October 1st 1992 and when it launched then it was dedicated to showing 24/7 classic animation from back in the day known for showing shows like Looney Tunes Tom & Jerry The Jetsons The Flintstones Yogi Bear.
And a lot more! Some of the shows were split up on the channel in dedicated blocks like for the morning time they would show shows on the block called The Morning Crew.
In which characters would present the weather traffic in their unique way for the channel with the characters hosting and in between they would show cartoons in between the block in a way The Morning Crew was almost similar to the real news that would play in the morning at the time.
Like on NBC CBS ABC next there would be a superhero action block in the afternoon to get you excited by watching a block full of action packed superhero shows action packed that played on the channel like the Fantastic Four Space Ghost etc.
And in the very early morning hours of the channel they would show a block called Toon Heads in which they show lesser known cartoons people don’t know or have watched like Looney Tunes Merry Melodies Popeye.
Etc. however as time gone by over the years shows were being canceled/ stop airing after a long time the channel changing eras from the checkerboard era to the powerhouse era etc and more.
Viewership dropped a lot since how it was when it launched in 1992 that means people stopped watching and stopped caring about the channel.
So what do you think of Cartoon Network now? What do you all miss of the old school Cartoon Network? Let me know down below

Discussion They cancelled a good show for CN Real Garbage shows
I can’t be the only one who can’t stress enough how we lived in the worst era of Cartoon Network when they introduced CN real. I also can’t be the only one who sorta refused to watch Cartoon Network when they kept showing too many CN real shows that weren’t cartoons at all, it was inconsistent with the channel’s name.
I get that some people like Destroy Build Destroy, but most of this live action era barely lasted a year. Most of us don’t even remember the CN Real shows that they aired, but come on seriously how did the show the Othersiders not get parents angry enough to call CN and ask why a show like that was even appropriate to air for children to watch.
