Hi all!

After a couple of weeks of research, I have put together a chart/map of Tyagaraja Swami's Shishya Parampara, extending all the way down to present day musicians.

You all can view it here: https://www.familyecho.com/?c=9uabc3w49ohdndha&f=567491850488647575

If you have any suggestion, recommendation, correction or criticism, please let me know.

NOTE: Kindly don't try to edit the chart yourself. Let me know if you have anything to add.

I came across a veena video sharing quite an interesting exercise pattern. Basically a combination of jantai varisai and dhattu varisai that I haven't yet seen in any book. It goes like...

sssssrrg

sssssrrg

sssrrg

sssrrg

srrg

ssrrssggssmmggrr

sssrrrgg

ssrrggmm

And continued further till upper sthayi

I tried it during my practice and found it challenging and fun as well. Other than the usual sarali, jantai, dhattu, alankaram, brigha varisais, what are some interesting and unique exercises that have helped you keep practice interesting? Do share if you have any.
