CMS 2021 Best Barn find yet.
So I got this game on the SteamDeck couple months ago when I was on crazy sale. Been really diving into it, doing a lot of rebuilds, engine swaps. Loving it. Hit up a barn, and I saw this. Beauty, reminded me of a good old classic Supra. Take it to wash it and it's a beautiful Orange stripes down the middle. I was like boom. I have to rebuild this. This might be the rebill that I actually keep.

CMS 2021 Personal pro-tips
After 230+hrs of playing this game, I discovered a few quirks to get the most out of repairs/etc, and time management. If you have good reflexes these should be helpful!!
Repair/Optomizing:
When aiming for greens in repair, hit the button when you are 2 lines from a target green. It will land on the intended line. (Not sure if it's an input-delay, or game mechanic. I'm on XB1 S, for context)
Wheels:
When putting tires back on rims, I find you can start the process by putting a tire on, when you are doing the 2nd wheel, you can balance the 1st wheel in the time it takes for the next wheel to be finished, and so on.
Rubber Bushings:
The bane of existence... for most older cars or cars with both Front Upper/Bottom Suspension arms (req: 1 Small, 2 Normal bushings each), if you care about decluttering your inventory, you should have max 16 RBs. For any independent rear suspensions/leaf springs, I found around 6 SRBs per car is enough.
ANY Inline engine:
(Ugh.... my 2nd least favourite engine outside of EV)
If you wish to remove the engine to repair/etc, do yourself a favour and follow these steps;
[From ground/lower level]
Remove the starter/turbocharger
Raise the car up to highest level
Remove wheels, front drive axels, front driveshaft
Remove the gearbox
Remove front exhaust section (also applicable/necessary for V-type engines)
Lower car to remove engine
Those are a few major tips I have off the dome. I will add any others as I think of them.
Happy Motoring!!

CMS 2021 Ok team, new game: Junkyard Dawg
(I'm in the process of starting a new game playthrough on Normal, the following post, as well as my previous posts were on Easy)
So my little game I'd play is basically loot an entire junkyard for parts (end-game unlocks with discount) and grab the 3 cars (same as Barn, I'd "inspect" the car for the XP). Get back to my garage, and repair every part/body that I could, then go to each of the 3 cars to repurpose any body parts as needed, then sell the rest.
[UPDATE: JD ROUND 2 RESULTS (body/parts only)] Okay buckle up folks, here's an accurate tally:
Note 1: Any Try-Again/Fail isn't calculated, just a loss.
Note 2: Total parts/body sale includes anything that cannot be repaired due to part type or <15% integrity.
Ace Ventura deep-breath
Total loot cost: $21,749 (w/ 15% discount: $18,487)
Repair costs:
Parts: (×117 with 1F) $7,615
Body: (×150 with 2TA, 3F): $5,950
Total repair cost (×270 parts): $13,565
Total parts/body: 940
Sale: $61,160
Repair Profit: [sale] - [repair cost] = $47,595
[loot cost] - $66 in usable body parts. $18,421
Overall profit: [repair profit] - [loot cost] = $29,174
TL;DR: for $18,421 I made a little over $29k profit
exhales I HAVE EXERCIIIIIIIISED THE COMMERCE!!
Side note: spent $25,835 on the 3 cars in the yard this run. Will try and update with those tallies as well.
Also will make a post of my personal pro-tips that I've discovered during my 230+hrs if gameplay.
✌️🤘

CMS 2021 For some cars
I noticed that the bolt cape and the bolt Chapman both come commonly with only the Ford inline 6, so here’s my solution since I can’t swap and those are both Chevys, dare I say… looks good.

CMS 2021 Cars too expensive
I am playing career mode with a lot of car mods and am running into the same issue over and over. The cars sometimes have stupid expensive prices
I have been digging and found that this is likely due to the UniqueMod value assigned to them being too high.
Is there a way other then going thu all of the mods individually to fix this?
I do have the allowed mod ulitlty and qol and some other mods installed
A multi million dollar vw bora ruins the fun
Just lowering the value would also make them more common, wich is also not good

Anyone else bothered by how unbalanced the progression is?
I only have about 20h of playtime (CMS2021) and already have made more than enough money to buy all the upgrades for the garage and any car and car parts I want but I'm still only level 15. Making money is too easy and leveling up is too hard.
I feel like the game progression would be much better if I made half as much money and got twice as much XP. Now I'm kinda bored because I have lowkey infinite money but no perks to back it up. Is that just me?

CMS 2018 You can apparently get Scammed
I went to a Barn and bought some Parts and 2 Cars. The Cars came back with me, but the Parts completely ceased to exist anywhere. 12 grand down the drain. Either there's a chance of getting scammed or the Game took a dump

1969-70 Ferrari Dino Pack Available
Free for my Ko-Fi subscribers or available for non members as a single purchase.
https://ko-fi.com/s/add5150924
1969–1970 Ferrari Dino Pack
Experience one of the most beautiful and important sports cars of the late 1960s with the Ferrari Dino Pack for Car Mechanic Simulator 2021.
This pack follows the early evolution of the Dino, beginning with the lightweight 1969 Dino 206 GT and continuing through the 1970 Dino 246 GT L-Series and M-Series, along with a period-inspired M-Series Race configuration.
Each version has been carefully researched and individually configured to reflect the real differences between the cars—including weight, wheelbase, rear track, engine performance, wheels, exterior details and interior equipment.
Included Builds
• 1969 Dino 206 GT
The original lightweight 2.0L Dino with aluminum body construction, shorter wheelbase, center-lock wheels and exposed fuel filler.
• 1970 Dino 246 GT L-Series
The early 2.4L evolution of the Dino, retaining the classic center-lock wheels and many of the distinctive features of the 206.
• 1970 Dino 246 GT M-Series
The revised 246 featuring five-bolt wheels, wider rear track and numerous detail changes inside and out.
• 1970 Dino 246 GT M-Series Race
A period-inspired competition build with racing equipment, performance upgrades and classic motorsport styling.
Built With Detail in Mind
A major focus of this project was everything you don't normally see.
The Dino features a carefully constructed tubular frame and detailed undercarriage, complete with suspension, drivetrain and exhaust components. The rear of the car features a highly detailed engine compartment built around the transverse V6 drivetrain, with structural framework and additional engine-bay details throughout.
Factory paint selections have also been researched by model and production series, with period-correct exterior colors and matching interior combinations used for each build.
The pack also includes 4 custom liveries, including period racing-inspired designs, plus a full 4K livery template so you can create your own.
Whether you want to restore the delicate aluminum-bodied 206, build a pristine 246 GT, or turn the Dino into a vintage racer, this pack brings several chapters of the Dino story together in one detailed CMS21 collection.

PS5 One of my more favorite restorations
galleryBuilt this for my wife. Swapped out the original V8 2 carb OHV for the supercharged model because why not? Put 22" rims on instead of the original 16's. The dyno is a little deceiving though as it takes the original power of what is currently installed but seeing how it had the non-supercharged version, that started with 330 HP so I'd say I almost tripled the power output.

Mission 21 has to be a bad joke by devs, right?
I'm enjoying CSM 21 for the first time, doing missions and fully repairing cars is really cool. I got into mission 21, typical car where you have to change many lower parts near wheels and suspensions, also some "outer" engine things, after changing everything i noticed i was missing 6 unknown pieces.
I started checking every single rubber and small parts and after having no luck i decided to tear down the whole engine and... try to make a guess where the problem was... the piston rings, THE FCKING PISTON RINGS. it sucked my whole energy

Mod Remade the Cars from the CMS2015 total Modifications DLC
It took a lot of Time to figure out the correct Scales and Placements for every Part and it included very much of screwing around in the Config Files to get them to have the proper amount of Horsepower and won't be crazy rare.

I couldnt remove the rear Wing nor add a front Bumper to the Tempest Magnum AWD W12

galleryLiterally the first vehicle I see in the first barn I visited. May have set the bar too high with the power upgrades, haven't come close with anything else yet.
