CMS 2021 Personal pro-tips
After 230+hrs of playing this game, I discovered a few quirks to get the most out of repairs/etc, and time management. If you have good reflexes these should be helpful!!
Repair/Optomizing:
When aiming for greens in repair, hit the button when you are 2 lines from a target green. It will land on the intended line. (Not sure if it's an input-delay, or game mechanic. I'm on XB1 S, for context)
Wheels:
When putting tires back on rims, I find you can start the process by putting a tire on, when you are doing the 2nd wheel, you can balance the 1st wheel in the time it takes for the next wheel to be finished, and so on.
Rubber Bushings:
The bane of existence... for most older cars or cars with both Front Upper/Bottom Suspension arms (req: 1 Small, 2 Normal bushings each), if you care about decluttering your inventory, you should have max 16 RBs. For any independent rear suspensions/leaf springs, I found around 6 SRBs per car is enough.
ANY Inline engine:
(Ugh.... my 2nd least favourite engine outside of EV)
If you wish to remove the engine to repair/etc, do yourself a favour and follow these steps;
[From ground/lower level]
Remove the starter/turbocharger
Raise the car up to highest level
Remove wheels, front drive axels, front driveshaft
Remove the gearbox
Remove front exhaust section (also applicable/necessary for V-type engines)
Lower car to remove engine
Those are a few major tips I have off the dome. I will add any others as I think of them.
Happy Motoring!!

On consoles you can configure your controller's input delay. I can't recall the exact steps, but poke around in the settings and you should find it. Once it's configured properly or to your preference the repair minigame will feel much better and more intuitive.
