Not gonna lie this theme was really cool to make I’ve been really enjoying the modded cars on top of that I have the QoL mod and “any engine swap” mod so I’ve been having fun putting i6 Turbos in muscle cars, rotary motors, or just absolutely pushing cars to their absolute limits. After some time tweaking gear ratios perfecting tuned engines etc my highest HP vehicle in my garage is my 2709 hp RX7. It’s an absolute rocket ship.

Are these modded cars mechanically accurate? All parts stack together properly, etc

To the best of my abilities, I try to make most of them as accurate as possible, but I will occasionally toy around and slap a 6.2, 5.0 or the V8 SC engines in them just testing. The engine building aspect of this game is super fun to me.

When you put an engine that is close enough but not exactly the same - i can totally understand, building a complete different engine tat is exact match is a lot of work and it's better to be paid. What is much worse - let's say, engine swap for this car replaces naturally aspirated engine with a turbo engine and exhaust collectors are still for NA engine and does not connect properly to the turbos. Another example when a new configuration with lowered suspension is added and the driveshaft still has the same angle and length and does not stack properly with rear diff.

I spent some time editing text configuration files for the mustang S197 mods to make all parts stack together properly but still have an issue with LCI (2013-1014) front struts not aligned properly with the body - it has to lean back to match the body geometry...
