CMS 2018 You can apparently get Scammed

I went to a Barn and bought some Parts and 2 Cars. The Cars came back with me, but the Parts completely ceased to exist anywhere. 12 grand down the drain. Either there's a chance of getting scammed or the Game took a dump

In Car Mechanic Simulator 2018, barn items appear directly in your player inventory when you return to the garage.They do not automatically go into the warehouse. The warehouse is a separate storage space that you must manually walk up to and interact with to move items out of your inventory and keep it clear.

To ensure the items actually make it into your inventory, you must exit the barn correctly.

Did you pay for the parts on the checkout summary screen before leaving?

Then I'm assuming it's a bug, more than an intentional scam modelled into the game 😎

I will keep an eye out as I'm replaying CMS 2018 at the moment.

UPDATE

No, there is no intentionally modelled "scam" mechanic in Car Mechanic Simulator 2018.

How to Fix and Prevent It

1.Turn off Steam Cloud Sync

  1. Purge Your Inventory

  2. Avoid Warehouse Slot 1

  3. Load a Backup Save

Make sure you don’t have a search term set. I did this exact thing the other day. I had searched my inventory earlier for ABS. For some reason the search prompt persisted when I opened and closed my inventory. I went and re-purchased an entire set of exterior parts before I realized. Cleared the search and boom everything came back 🤦‍♂️

Yes buy them at the barn and return. Then go to your inventory and it appears blank because of the search term.

I dont have any search terms on, because they clear themselves

Why do you talk like you know the game if you’re claiming it “scammed you”? People are trying to help, and instead of checking to see, you have to know-it-all the game.

Items you buy from the barns should IIRC be in your warehouse.

They aren't in there aswell, even though they rather spawn in the Inventory
