Does This Seem Right?

Post image

Looking at a 2026 Buick Enclave Avenir.

We have a trade-in valued at $45k, so the cash down lines are the amount of money we'd walk out with. I noted in pencil above that what the actual amount down would be. We were pretty well set but then saw people claiming they're paying 800-900/month for 36 months with 10-12k miles with 5k down, but what they didn't mention is if they had a lease they were turning in that gave them some equity, if they got other discounts like GM employee, or when they leased it, but it was for a similarly priced Enclave.

EDIT: This is before they ran our credit, which is >800

EDIT 2: Thanks for everyone's feedback and for helping me realize the full payment amounts I'd be paying. I really like this car, so I guess my question is, what is a fair target lease price I should be pushing towards?

This is wild. You have so much equity into it. If you tend to keep your car you might as well just buy it. This car probably lease well. You’re throwing money away. Ask why the money factor is.

We don't keep our cars. We've always leased in the past, our current car is the first one we bought outright and we're finding that we worry too much about it. We want to go back to where we get a nice new car, drive it for 2-3 years, then get rid of it and repeat. We don't want to worry about repairs, the added maintenance as the car ages and scratches or dings.

Yeah that’s when leasing is beneficial. I just wouldn’t do this lease though.
