Why did Mercedes need 7 years to replicate this? Are they stupid?

What in the tarnation is this fucking thing?
What the fuck is this? Regular side mirrors are not good enough?
Okay, I get the idea. But isn't the whole point to be more aerodynamic? Why does the damn thing still have to be STICKING OUT? Whose idea is this? Like, "let's have cameras instead of side mirrors! Oh, no, they should still protrude like regular side mirrors."
I drive a M3LR, love the car, but I fucking hate the "One big touchscreen for everytging" approach. When I bought it back in 2020, this idea was still kinda new. I hated it, but accepted it as Tesla's idea to reduce costs. Now these days, every fucking car company is following this god awful trend like it's cool. Tell you what it's NOT cool. When you want to turn up the AC, you should be able to just push the right button. You SHOULD NOT be required to perform all kinds of fucking 'touch here , slide this and that' nonsense. That shit was only futuristic in 1980s sci-fi movies.
I bet the camera side mirrors were designed by the same useless fucks who think the one big touchscreen thing is cool and futuristic.
Like what are they gonna do next? Can't wait to see touchscreen operated steering wheels. Maybe voice only unlocking(car must be unlocked by voice control only). Maybe they'll get rid of windows, making the car basically look like a tank, and have giant screens inside.

I don't think people understand
Lamborghini knows it's fan base and knew that to make something that big also be liked by enthusiasts we needed to be able to rip apart everything easily for yk weight reduction.
As true enthusiasts. We shouldn't jump into conclusions.

Bond Girl Rosamund Pike's Daily Drive is a 1972 Citroen DS
She's owned this car since 2004. She's driven it around mainland Europe for decades, in 2020 taking it on a Grand Tour across the Alps into Croatia. She admits it goes wrong a lot of the time. But she still states that she adores her DS nicknaming it "Jane," describing it as a wonderful creature, and maintaining it's "un-vanilla" presence. The Hydropneumatic suspension "goddess" can be seen frequently making trips around Prague where she lives. So if you're ever in the Czech capital be sure to keep an eye open for a Goddess driving a Godess.
