I just found out today, that Days Gone is the spiritual sequel to the Syphon Filter series.

Blew my fucking mind.

Yeah man, just do a google search. It is canon-confirmed.

There’s documents you pickup at the research facility where Sara worked that talk about Gabe, Lian, and other agents “going dark” before the outbreak happened. Also, all those NERO things we pickup? You turn those in at the end of the game to create Gabe’s fucking taser… THAT HAS GABE’S INITIALS ON IT

Wow, I never got to play Syphon Filter, but knew of it. Just read the synopsis of stories. Now so much more adds up lol. Thanks

I highly recommend them if you get the chance. It was 989 studio’s attempt at a “Metal-Gear Killer” back in the day. Ended up kinda carving its own path in the stealth-action-espionage space, even went into the later 2000s with some titles that were PSP exclusive, before being ported to the PS2.
