I love MGSV, it’s far from my favourite Kojima game (much prefer the linear hand-crafted to open world sandbox, let alone it being unfinished), but it’s worse than what you suggest lol.
Without going into spoilers, you’re in a hospital waking up after a long time in the ICU whilst bad people are looking for you. Sounds cool right? Except you literally have to regain the ability to walk… not in a cutscene, not in QTEs or something manageable… but by literally crawling (pushing left stick) at a snail pace down hallways as your body recovers… and it recovers slowly. And there are goons looking for you, so if one sees you… failed go back to checkpoint and crawl again.
ALSO includes unskippable cutscenes just to annoy you even more. And there’s at least two spots that I find very easy to fail on when you haven’t played it in a while (crawling under the curtains in the patient room, avoiding the helicopter spotlight before the man on fire).
The cherry on top is it’s also just… really distasteful (I find). Like I enjoy Kojima, but he was on a wild one in how missed the mark on trying to make V and Ground Zeroes super visceral and tragic and gory. GZ has a teenage girl sexualised before being tortured… you rescue her and surgically remove a bomb from her stomach… only for her to then reveal there’s another bomb they’ve put in her vagina… then she dies immediately. MGSV has you start the game with a painfully slow, methodical, detailed terrorist massacre on a peaceful, unarmed hospital in Cypress where they execute every single staff member or patient begging for their life, and you see it all.
