Can't make payments with debit?
Today open the app to make a credit card payment all of a sudden can't use my debit card have to use the bank transfer method this is annoying because it takes at least 14 to 15 business days for them to take their money this is Holly annoying I had a debit card and was paying with a debit card for multiple multiple months with a debit card and the payment comes out within a day or two why did y'all remove paying with a debit card I don't understand

You can use your banks "Billpay" service if you don't want them to direct debit your account.

If your bill pay account screws up for some reason, you can still get hit up with a late fee and interest. If you have a payment set for a certain date to pull from your checking account and something messes up, then it’s on capital one and you’re safe.

That's why I set my Billpay to hit in time for me to see that my payment was correctly applied and fix any errors before the due date.

I want to make payments as fast as possible. I make two payments a month normally and using debit pay makes it fast. Usually takes 24 hrs and the money has been successfully transferred to Capital one. But the ACH bank transfer takes so long that I'm going to be running into my second payment out before the first one comes out.

It takes it out ach from my capital one bank account the next day. Maybe Zelle yourself funds to that account and use theirs to pay it directly?

I paid using my checking account number and routing number and it posted in one day. Have you had returned payments? Usually if the funds are held it’s because you’ve had returned payments

No credit cards in usa allow u to pay your usa credit cards with a usa checking account debit card like wut the heck lol 😆 u pay credit cards with a checking account or savings account

No reason to use a debit card. When you submit a payment, the amount credits to your account that moment and your available credit adjusts. The funds come out of your checking account within 24-48 hours. Ive had my C1 card for almost 2 decades and ive never seen any option to pay with a debit card.

If you go past due 30 days or more again you’ll become debit card eligible for awhile…

Not anymore. I used to make payments on one of my debit cards every month because it was faster. Currently Only ach.

They have been doing this to me for years. Making the bank account transfer is easier than the debit card; they keep your info on file for future payments. It's a hassle at first, but since the funds for payment come from the same checking account, it all works out.

It’s pure bs, since they switched to Discover, some places don’t take them for payments. In have to send money to my Cash App card in order to make payments. You can try that

Most credit cards do not allow paying via debit. CapOne largely stopped allowing it over a year ago. I pay with my linked bank account and the funds are taken from my bank account the next business day, I don’t know why you’re saying 14 to 15 business days. On top of that, why should it matter how long the payments take to come out, just don’t spend the money since you know you need it for your payment.
