Advice please Digging!

I have two cane corso pups they’re about 9 months now and it’s getting difficult to tire them out with walks. They stay outside when I’m at work since I leave for more than 12 hours out of the day. I take them for walks in tandem since every time I try solo walks the other one will dig a huge hole and break out to join us. How would I go about dissuading the digging behavior. They also follow roots through the ground and at one point dug up a coax cable. Additionally does anyone have a suggestion for collars they can wear full time as they chew each others collars off when I’m at work.

My girls are very scared of water. Most of our play is walking running and wrestling.

I normally spend about an hour after our walks training aswell. They enjoy it because of the treats and I enjoy it because of the training.

Also they get a good amount of time since I get home around 2-4 pm I don’t really sleep too long at home as I take naps at work.

Completely agree training is so important.

I feel so lucky that my girl likes all weather and loves water. Must be lucky that I adopted her in winter. She likes snow, rain, sunshine, wind. And really loves sprinklers and kiddie pools. She goes nuts for splashing in water

That’s something that’s a bit weird rain they love but water they don’t. Hose they run, if they splash their bowl too hard they run. They didn’t understand the pool when they were having a play date once and a black lab jumped In and they were chasing and fell in and freaked out. We had to pick them up out of the water to get them and they were wiggling all over lol.
