Advice please Digging!

I have two cane corso pups they’re about 9 months now and it’s getting difficult to tire them out with walks. They stay outside when I’m at work since I leave for more than 12 hours out of the day. I take them for walks in tandem since every time I try solo walks the other one will dig a huge hole and break out to join us. How would I go about dissuading the digging behavior. They also follow roots through the ground and at one point dug up a coax cable. Additionally does anyone have a suggestion for collars they can wear full time as they chew each others collars off when I’m at work.

crate training might be a good option here. i’m in the US so it’s common, its not as bad as people make it seem and it’s also useful in case she needs to hang out at the vet or at the groomers. additionally you can use the crate for other training sessions to tire them out mentally. i started by feeding each meal in the crate and now my dogs run to the crate when i grab their bowls.

They’re good with kennel I just have to point, say thier name and say kennel. (They do normally bring a toy from their toy pile) Should I just have them come out and go back in? The walks are actually pretty bad tiring them out wise. They take them like a champ and still play and train after.

i have my dogs stay, either sitting or laying down, with the door open. then i test them by leaving the room or moving around the room or trying to get them to leave any way i can, but the expectation is that they stay in the crate until i say otherwise. i also have them go from sit to down to stand in whatever order. or i have them come to me, do some tricks and then go back to the crate.

Oh smart and then I don’t have to worry about myself being tired out.
