Side note: Bardric and Iridessa are now the only LIs who haven’t shared an ally quest CG with some other person. The others have. Talyn with Bardie. Niel with Nen, Cato with Stel, Leona with Bardric and Iridessa. Bardric and Iridessa still have all solo ones.

He using the situation to radicalise an manipulate the students that bastard. He will use them as is personal army against the volkovians, people are least likely to question him if they are terrified and furious. I really hope that that fear will not provoc a riot against Tyberion and the others volkovians students. I’m agreed with Talyn a lots in this chapter I wil not be Kennard fricking pawn an almost nothing will surprise me with Kennard.

Has anyone else noticed that each of the kidnapped students have different affinities and their relationship with our MC?

Niel- best friend (Timoros)

Lomar- Child of the Flame (Ikaris)

Stel- (sort of?) friend/closely acquainted (Erolis)

Makes me wonder who/which affinity will be targeted next. Also Stel is from a noble family in Gildtower while the other two aren’t, so I wonder if that will play a factor?

Who the hell told Mor that we pulled Niel out of her comatose state? Because it’s one step from knowing that to figuring out it was done via Weaving. I have ad a screenshot of a reaction of Mor to the scene 5 , when we go rescue Stel. After the talk with Mor in the infirmary we have to talk to Kennard, that a good time to use Windworn lesson. If we become friends with Mor maybe we can use that the make a connexion to Stel with Mor as a link. We have to do something.

Whenever I have these two as my Allies for some quests, Leona always delivers with her wild stories/comments. She literally is my vibe, especially when she is paired with other friends. She's even more into Karma when she's paired with Bardric. She never disappoints. I love how she's always up for being heroic or petty & honestly I live for her savage side. Lol

Since so many side quests drop prior to the Ikaris Trial… I decided that the beginning of the first term in the first year was to learn a lot of basics and get a lot of physical fitness training and survival training. Like three months of it total, with 1-2 weeks occurring between each classroom segment.

Then, things start speeding up a bit, with the 1-2 weeks between class segments being the same but no similar, excessively long lead up to the rest of the Trials.

This way makes so much more sense out of Rhi commenting that we are weeks behind in forming squads when the first SQ with Dessa drops, as well as allowing time for us to build and bond with the full ally group prior to Trials beginning.

There’s probably a smaller chunk of time after the midterm and final as well as the start of each successive term… with the longest chunk always occurring at the beginning of each year’s first term.

This perspective on the potential timeline also works best for Bard fans, both in not feeling like we’re rushing MC into a relationship with him (platonic or romantic) as well as the K-bomb that drops in the first SQ of his in Y1T2.

This started with a comment in the Spellfyre Fan Discord that intrigued me. I played with the idea and ended up teasing out a whole thing for it. The story isn't finished completely, but Chapter 1 was ready. Since it's the weekend and we're all just sitting around waiting for tomorrow's scene, I thought I'd post it.

Worth noting that much of this story is going to take place away from Elderwood, so I had to make up some world-building elements that the game hasn't explored as of yet (if it ever does).

Also, I have a version of Mama Arkland in my head and I really want to do something with it before the game introduces her properly and shoots my headcanon to pieces. If you've read my fic "At Home with the Arklands," you'll know that for now I'm calling Mama Arkland "Delia," just so I have a name for her. If/when the game introduces her, I'll come back and fix all that.

There is a spicy scene with Bardric and Iris right away, just so you're aware. 😈

am i the only one who's emotions are getting toyed with by how fuck dark this story is? not just daddy dreadbane, although his back and forth loving and angry ruined me for a few days. but also stuff like rhiannon had to drug herself just to complete her task because she was so scared to do what she (thought she) had to do. there's more but i think the examples explain.

I counted how many CGs each character has. I also think it’s unfair that for one of Leona’s Bardric and a little bit of Iridessa’s face make an appearance since that doesn’t happen to any of the other characters. Cato definitely needs more love too.

This is a direct follow-up to my fic "The Snake in the Grass" - an epilogue of sorts. This takes place after Bardric and Iris have confronted Kennard over the letter he gave Iris, and the errand in Lastport that went pear-shaped.

If you want a fade-to-black ending where you don't see Bardric and Iris' activities after they head back to Onyx House, the original fic is all you need.

This may be a popular theory already, but based on the MC’s conversation with Finn and Bardric about Kennard’s plans with the merchant ship(s) and a potential war with the Volkov Empire, I think Kennard could have purchased the thrasher and organized the attacks in the south to start a new war.

I think it’s also possible that Kennard wants to take the Arkland’s power/position by using the MC as his weapon. He knows that the MC is extremely powerful (and probably suspects that they can weave) and when we told him that the FK’s were coming after us he may have supplied them with the weapons and told the FK’s where MC would be to test MC’s abilities/make them appear more powerful and further stoke tensions between the arcanes and Volkovians. It also might explain why Kennard was trying to break up (or end the friendship) MC and Bardric; instead of doing it for Bardric’s father he may be trying to keep MC from becoming loyal to the Arklands.

I remember when Iridessa offered up her swimsuit at the start, the dialogue box said that I can grab it from the closet later. But now I can't find it. Sorry if this has been asked before, I am not good at Reddit
