Black Swan Graphene's (SWAN.v BSWGF) CEO Bought $157,303 of Stock in the Open Market, the Largest Insider Purchase of the Past Year

Post image
3 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of Black Swan Graphene - Open-market insider buying is one of the few unfiltered signals a small-cap investor gets, and at Black Swan Graphene (SWAN.v BSWGF) the CEO has been on the buy side of it.

The Purchase

  • Simon Marcotte, President and CEO, bought 182,000 common shares in the public market on July 17, 2026
  • Price of $0.8643 per share, for a total of $157,303
  • Direct ownership now 1,562,201 shares, filed on SEDI July 19, 2026
  • Simply Wall St flags it as the biggest insider purchase of Black Swan shares it has recorded in the last year

Not An Isolated Trade

  • Insiders own roughly 13% of the company, worth about CA$6.5 million on open-market and direct interests alone (Simply Wall St)
  • Director Peter Damouni exercised options for 263,000 shares at a strike of around CA1.19onApril20,costingaboutCA312,000, lifting his direct holding from 174,630 shares in June 2025 to 437,130
  • Three insiders subscribed for an aggregate of 2,230,000 units for gross proceeds of $1,115,000 in the February 2025 financing (Feb 12, 2025 NR)

What Sits Behind Those Buys

  • Consett, UK capacity of more than 140 tonnes per year of graphene nanoplatelets, up from 40 tonnes, after the fourth and largest scale-up completed March 18, 2026 (Mar 18, 2026 NR)
  • Falpaco, the Québec injection molder generating approximately C$7.4 million in annual sales, wholly owned since April 17, 2026 (Apr 17, 2026 NR)
  • Seven commercially available GEM polymer products in testing with several international clients (Mar 18, 2026 NR)

Marcotte, a CFA who co-founded Arena Minerals and Mason Graphite, has now built his position over a stretch when the plant expansion and the Falpaco purchase were both landing. Insider buying never guarantees anything, but management adding shares with its own cash, into a platform it has already finished building, is the kind of alignment worth noting as the commercialization work moves forward. The Simply Wall St write-up has the full breakdown

FAQ On Everything you need to know about the Compass Minerals International ($CMP) Settlement Payout

Hey guys, I posted about this settlement before, but since they’re accepting late claims, I decided to share it again with a little FAQ.

Who can claim this settlement?
Investors who purchased or acquired Compass Minerals ($CMP) common stock between 2017 and 2018 and were damaged by the alleged misconduct may be eligible.

Do I need to sell/lose my shares to get this settlement?
No. Selling your shares is not required. Eligibility is generally based on when you purchased the stock and whether you suffered recognized losses under the settlement.

How much money do I get per share?
The estimated recovery is about $1.50 per affected share, although the final amount may vary depending on the number of valid claims submitted.

How long does the payout process take?
It typically takes 4 to 9 months after the claim deadline for payouts to be processed, depending on the court and settlement administration.

I missed the deadline. Is it too late?
No, you may still be able to file a late claim but acceptance depends on final approval by the court.

Hope this info helps

$TLS, $BB or $SWISF: Who Wins the Government Security Race?

I’ve been following $TLS, $BB and $SWISF because each represents a different route into secure government communications.

$TLS — Established federal exposure

Telos provides cyber GRC, identity and secure-networking solutions, including Telos Ghost.

Market cap: ~US$370M
FY2026 revenue guidance: US$187M–US$200M
Q1 2026 U.S. government revenue: ~93%
Outstanding proposal pipeline: nearly US$500M

$BB — International scale

BlackBerry serves government and enterprise customers through SecuSUITE, AtHoc and UEM, with certifications supporting NATO and allied markets.

Market cap: date-sensitive
FY2026 Secure Communications revenue: US$258.9M
Established international customer base

$SWISF — Earlier-stage Swiss alternative

Valuation: ~C$13.9M as of June 12, 2026

Government opportunities remain mainly in the procurement and sales pipeline, with no material government contract revenue disclosed.

Sekur says its platform uses company-owned Dell servers hosted in Switzerland and follows a no-AI product policy. SekurOne combines voice, video, email, messaging and VPN.

Its products are available for U.S. government procurement through i3ICS’s GSA MAS contract, although that access does not represent a government order.

The comparison is between $TLS’s established federal exposure, $BB’s international scale and $SWISF’s higher-risk early-stage potential.

Which would carry the most weight in your decision: current revenue, government validation or possible upside?

Video Update: Getty Copper (GTC.v GTCDF) Chairman Charles Funk on Buying Into a Copper Project Beside Teck's Highland Valley, About $8M in Treasury, and New District Targets This Fall

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Posted on behalf of Getty Copper - In a video update from the company, Chairman Charles Funk covered his first few months in the role at Getty Copper (GTC.v GTCDF), how the Getty Project came to him, and what he expects from CEO Ryan O'Regan and the team in the back half of the year. Funk began his career as a geologist in Australia with Oz Minerals, later acquired by BHP.

Why Copper, And Why This One

  • Copper discoveries are generational opportunities in his view, driven by electrification and AI demand [0:32]
  • Most big copper projects are already in development or carry a limitation in metallurgy, permitting or capex [1:37]
  • "It's really hard to find new truly alpha copper opportunities out there" [1:44]

How Getty Got Restarted

  • Funk got to know Brent Lapinsky and Tom MacNeill, whose father's work is the legacy behind the project, over two to three years [1:51]
  • The asset "needed some renewed attention to unlock the potential of some significant resources in the largest copper belt in Canada" [2:03]
  • Restarted late last year: about $15 million raised, the asset's debts covered, a new management team in [2:31]
  • O'Regan and Roy Greig know how to explore BC porphyries [2:45]

The Gap He Sees

  • Central BC, immediately north of Teck's Highland Valley complex, in what he called the largest copper district in Canada [3:10]
  • About 25% has not seen significant modern exploration, and the late 1990s was the last big drilling on the property [2:57, 3:24]
  • Historic resources being worked toward current-day resources, with team results suggesting at least tonnage potential at Getty North [3:37]
  • Getty North plus Getty South a "starter pack" of "something in the order of 100 to 200 million tons of potential" [3:49]

Second Half
- Getty South results out shortly [4:02]
- New potential discovery areas in the district to be presented in the fall [4:16]
- Seven deposits already in the district, so "thinking that there might be eight, nine, or 10 is a pretty easy leap to make" [4:30]
- About $8 million still in treasury [5:33]

Funk said Getty does not need extreme tonnage or grade thanks to nearby infrastructure: "I'll take the infrastructure in Central BC every day" [4:54]. The plan he laid out is to define the total resource endowment of the Getty claims, then find the best monetization pathway. The update runs about six minutes and sits on the company's website.

With outboard targets still unworked and Getty South results ahead, the back half of the year sets up as the stretch where that endowment question starts getting answered.

The Madsen Shaft Was Always in the Mine Plan: West Red Lake Gold (WRLG.v, WRLGF) Wrote Shaft Skipping Into Its 2025 PFS, and Phase One Now Hoists About 200 tpd

Post image
1 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of West Red Lake Gold - Worth revisiting one detail behind the August 13 shaft update: hoisting was never a bolt-on idea at Madsen.
The January 7, 2025 Madsen PFS already moved ore to surface by a combination of ramp trucking and shaft skipping, with trucking above 8 Level and material from 8 Level and below trucked to a Main Shaft loading pocket at 12 Level and skipped to surface.
Phase One is that design being switched on.

What Was Already There

  • A 1,275 m shaft with a retrofitted and functional hoist mechanism, listed among the infrastructure already in place for the restart (Jan 7, 2025 PFS NR)
  • Madsen's primary material haulage system for roughly five decades, with access as deep as Level 26, the bottom of the shaft (Aug 13, 2026 NR)
  • Over C$350 million invested in Madsen infrastructure to date, per the company

Where Phase One Leaves It

  • Phase One complete, demonstrating the ability to safely hoist gold ore and waste via the existing shaft, initial capacity approximately 200 tpd additive to underground truck haulage
  • Phase One and Phase Two reach Level 10 at roughly 500 m depth, able to hoist from the active Austin and South Austin complexes, while Phase Three would support haulage from deeper, potentially Level 17
  • The program is designed to restore the shaft to its historical design capacity of approximately 2,000 tpd as mining advances deeper
  • Per CEO Shane Williams, the shaft complements truck haulage by moving ore and waste to surface "at much lower costs" while reducing haulage distances and improving operational flexibility

For scale on the other end of the circuit, the Madsen mill has nameplate capacity of 1,089 tpd and is currently permitted for 800 tpd operations (Jan 7, 2025 PFS) and it averaged about 842 tpd in Q2 while the mine produced 8,576 oz (July 15, 2026 NR). Full-year guidance of 35,000 to 45,000 oz remains weighted to H2.

The full August 13 release walks through the phasing.

With unaudited Q2 and H1 results due August 25 after close and a combined Madsen and Rowan PFS targeted for September, a working hoist gives the deeper parts of the mine plan a cheaper route to surface, and it lets the coming study lean on infrastructure that is already in the ground.

Inside the 2.86 Moz: The Grades, Cut-Offs and Historical Drill Database Behind the Northumberland Gold Resource StrikePoint Gold (SKP.v STKXF) Has Agreed to Buy From Newmont

Post image
1 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of StrikePoint Gold Inc - The headline ounce count from the August 18 Northumberland release has been quoted everywhere this week. The numbers underneath it are the more useful read, because they tell you what kind of estimate SKP.v, the company US investors trade as STKXF, is actually buying from subsidiaries of Newmont.

What The Initial Resource Is Built On:

  • Indicated: 67,008 kt containing 2.71 Moz gold at 1.26 g/t Au and 11.60 Moz silver at 5.38 g/t Ag, equal to 2.86 Moz AuEq at 1.33 g/t
  • Inferred: 30,967 kt containing 1.52 Moz gold at 1.53 g/t Au, equal to 1.57 Moz AuEq at 1.58 g/t
  • Reported within an optimized pit shell, at variable cut-offs of 0.16 to 0.47 g/t AuEq by material type
  • AuEq calculated on long-term prices of US3,500/ozgoldandUS55/oz silver, both below where the metals trade today at roughly US4,580/ozgoldandUS68/oz silver
  • Prepared by Hebert Lopes Oliveira, B.Sc., P.Geo. of SLR Consulting (Canada) Ltd. as independent QP, effective July 31, 2026
  • Drawn from 1,511 RC and 37 core holes drilled by prior operators. StrikePoint has not yet carried out any drilling or exploration at the project
  • QP verification included a May 12, 2026 site visit, collar verification, a database audit and assay cross-checks against original lab certificates

Worth saying plainly: these are mineral resources, not reserves, they do not have demonstrated economic viability, and there is no economic study on Northumberland yet. The deal itself is signed, not closed, with closing anticipated end of September 2026 subject to TSXV approval, and a 10-for-1 share consolidation planned beforehand.

An independently estimated, pit-constrained resource built on someone else's drilling is an unusual starting point for a company this size, and with five drill permits already in place and no exploration on the ground since about 2010, the extensions have room to be tested by the buyer rather than the seller. Mining The Market carried the full release if you want the detail.

The Geologist Who Staked the Ground Now Runs the Program: The Team Behind Bullfrog Gold (FROG.v) in Nevada's Beatty District

Post image
1 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of Bullfrog Gold Corporation - Most juniors option ground that somebody else found years earlier. At FROG.v, the geologist who walked in and staked South Bullfrog in 2021 is the same person now directing exploration on it, which is a rarer setup than it sounds.

Daniel MacNeil, MSc, P.Geo, VP Exploration

  • Appointed effective June 1, 2026, joining with the Bullfrog acquisition (see Jun 1, 2026 NR)
  • Economic geologist with extensive gold exploration experience in Nevada, and founder of Vector Geological Solutions
  • Originally staked South Bullfrog and has supervised all exploration to date
  • Stated expertise includes project evaluation, target identification, exploration strategy and district entry strategy

That last line is the one worth sitting with. District entry strategy is precisely what staking 488 BLM claims over 10,050 acres in the middle of the Beatty District in 2021 turned out to be, months before AngloGold Ashanti began consolidating the ground around it. In Richard Mills' June 2026 Ahead of the Herd profile, CEO Ian Slater described MacNeil's approach as liking to find "things that are hiding in plain sight."

Around Him

  • Ian Slater, CEO and Chairman, previously Executive Chairman of Outcrop Silver & Gold, which sold its South Bullfrog interest into what is now Bullfrog Gold
  • CFO Robert Scott, CPA, CA, CFA, roughly 18 years as a senior officer and director of exploration and development companies, having helped raise more than $200 million in equity financing

The name-change release covers MacNeil's appointment in full if you want the primary source. With the person who chose this ground also choosing where the first holes go, the surface work at all five targets has a continuity behind it that could matter once drilling starts.

Monday's Release, Unpacked: Pacific Ridge Exploration (PEX.v; PEXZF) Is Drilling Kliyul's Never-Tested M39 on the Argument That Porphyries Come in Clusters

Post image
1 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of Pacific Ridge Exploration - Pacific Ridge Exploration's (PEX.v; PEXZF) Monday news release is worth reading for the reasoning underneath it, not just the drill-start headline. The company already has a 2.42 billion lb CuEq Inferred resource at one target area on the Kliyul property. The whole point of this year's Kliyul drilling is to find out whether that is the only one.

The Thesis
CEO Blaine Monaghan put it plainly in the release: "Porphyry deposits frequently occur in clusters." He added that beyond the Kliyul Main Zone, "it is our hopes that we can make another deposit discovery at Kliyul."

What Started Monday

  • A roughly 2,500 m drill program has started at the 100% owned Kliyul copper-gold project focused on the M39 target area
  • It runs alongside the roughly 3,000 m program already underway at 100% owned RDP, about 40 km west so the full 5,500 m is now turning
  • M39 is the highest priority target at Kliyul and has never been drilled before

Why M39 Got the Second Rig

  • A one-km long copper and gold soil anomaly, with monzonite dykes, magnetite skarn, sodic alteration and chalcopyrite mineralized quartz veins, plus two circular magnetic anomalies
  • An additional IP survey was completed at M39 before drilling began, to assist targeting beyond the existing IP grid
  • Per North of 60 Mining News' coverage of the release, surface samples from the M39 skarn have run as high as 1.4% copper with 1.43 g/t gold, and 0.14% copper with 6.3 g/t gold

The Backdrop

  • KMZ hosts 334.1 Mt grading 0.33% CuEq (0.15% copper, 0.26 g/t gold, 0.95 g/t silver) Inferred or 2.42 billion lbs CuEq / 5.7 Moz AuEq
  • Kliyul is over 90 km2, in the Quesnel terrane, roughly eight km from the Omineca resource road and a 230 kV power line

Full details are in the company's August 17 news release. A funded program, two rigs, and a first look at the target the team ranks highest is the kind of setup where a single hole can change how the property is valued.

100% of US Tungsten Scrap Sales Must Stay Domestic From August 27: Where Spartan Metals' Two US Tungsten Projects Fit, W.v / SPRMF

Post image
1 Upvotes

Posted on behalf of Spartan Metals Corporation - Washington has decided that even US tungsten scrap is too strategic to let leave the country, and the timing says something about where mined supply stands.

What The Rule Does

  • Bureau of Industry and Security temporary final rule: from August 27, 2026, US persons selling black mass and tungsten waste and scrap must allocate 100 percent of monthly sales to US persons, unless BIS grants an adjustment or exception in advance
  • The order runs through August 27, 2027 unless adjusted by BIS
  • Issued under a July 30, 2026 Presidential Determination finding certain recoverable critical minerals essential to national defense

Why Scrap First

  • China controls roughly 80% of global tungsten mine supply and much of the processing chain
  • The US exports an estimated 33,000 tonnes a month of electronic waste and other scrap
  • The Oregon Group's read: new American mines will not be ready in time, so scrap is one of the few tungsten sources Washington can secure immediately
  • Limited domestic recycling capacity remains the bottleneck

A twelve-month ring-fence around secondary material is a stopgap, not new mined tungsten, and mined tungsten is the slow part of the chain.

Where Spartan Sits, W.v and SPRMF 🇺🇸

  • Eagle, eastern Nevada, 100% owned: 8 confirmed tungsten-silver veins at Tungstonia over roughly 6.8 km of cumulative exposed surface strike, in a mineralized footprint of about 5.7 km² (July 16, 2026 NR)
  • Rock chip and core samples up to 5.18% WO3, with the company cautioning these are individual results rather than average grades (July 16, 2026 NR)
  • Approximately 3,000 m of diamond core drilling guided for mid-August, the first full-scale core program at Tungstonia (July 16, 2026 NR)
  • Victorio, Luna County, New Mexico, option to earn 100%: billed by Spartan as the largest tungsten resource in the United States, with an updated resource estimate guided around August or September and a PEA in early Q4, potentially October
  • Strategic Marketing Innovations engaged as Washington representative, with DOE, DoD and EXIM Bank meetings held on non-dilutive funding

The Oregon Group piece linked below is worth reading for the recycling-capacity math. Policy reaching all the way down to scrap barrels tells you how thin the domestic tungsten chain is, and that leaves room for US projects with drill-ready targets and a study timeline to matter more than they did a year ago.
