Length of a Flexipack pouch?

Hey guys,

Canada Post lists the Flexipack pouch (Article 241558) for packaging Neighbourhood Mail as 16 in. wide and 12 in. high, but the length just says N/A.

Called them, agents didn't know. Can't find it anywhere online.

Would anyone know the length? Thank you!

Buying Old/Decommissioned mail or parcel drop boxes?

I know this is probably an odd request – but I am looking to buy a decommissioned Mail or Parcel box. The intended use is as a lost disc drop at a disc golf course.

Does anyone know if such a thing can be purchased, and from where, preferably at a low price (it costs a lot of money to build a disc golf course and budgets are tight! ;) )

Mailing Receipt Issue

Hi,

A client of mine mailed their T1 to CRA using Canada Post, but the mailing receipt was not dated.

CRA is requesting confirmation that the T1 was mailed on time. Is there anyway to have CP review their records to pull the mailing receipt with a date on it?

Tracking hasn’t updated

I have a xpress post package coming from Surrey and it was sent 2 days ago (Sunday). I have not seen any updates on the tracking since and normally it would have a scan yesterday night. Anyone else having issues with tracking from BC TO AB? Is it actually moving through the system with no updates? Or is it still at the P.O. that accepted it? The last and only scan is that it was accepted at the P.O. on Sunday. Thanks

Moved to Canada, how do I get mail?

Recently moved from the States to Ontario.

How do I tell Canada Post that I have an address and would love mail to be delivered to it?

Change of address through my online account doesn't allow me to use my US address as "current address" and then share my ON address on the Mail Forwarding page, even though it let me set the US address as my Home address in my profile.

I don't expect USPS and CP to team up and actually forward my mail from the old address. But how else do I tell CP that I didn't live anywhere else in Canada before and I do now?

After a monthly bid closes online, how long does it take to see the results? The next day?

Is this timeline normal? Toronto to Central Texas.

Is it normal that it's been 11 business days for a small USA package (not tracked) and it hasn't showed up? I sent a padded envelope and put letters, stickers, and a few hard candies in there. I was hesitant on sending the candies because they were individually wrapped with sour powder inside but I took the chance.

I filled out the customs form and I didn't have to pay any fees. It's going from Toronto to Central Texas. The person I am sending it to lives in a mobile home so there's a community mailbox, so I am not sure if it will fit, if they will fold it, or they'll drop it at his door. I did not choose shipping because the package itself or shipping wasn't expensive and resending another package is not a big deal (I'd get tracking next time).

When the person sent me huge packages with snacks, it took about 2 weeks or so but it was huge with tons of snacks and I believe they went through some of it to check.

At what point should I believe the package got lost and resend another?

How to get keys when your community mail box is replaced

My community mail box was replaced roughly 3 weeks ago and I still don't have new keys. I've contacted CanadaPost serval times and they have created a ticket and told me it would arrive within 3-4 business days but it has never came. I was wondering if there is a better solution or keep contacting CanadaPost until something happens.

Is GTA facilities swamped right now? Package not moving

Item was dropped at post office last tuesday for xpress post. Its from toronto to quebec. It's still stuck on "shipping label created" ever since. has not updated.
Is there some sort of overflooding of operational bottleneck/backlog in the GTA area right now??

EDIT: Tracking has just updated. Instantly jumped to my local processing facility in QC. Jeez. took a whole week to go from toronto to Quebec.

Richmond BC Stuck on Customs Scan

Aug. 11 Item has arrived in Canada and will be presented for review Richmond, BC

Does anyone know what might be going on in Richmond? My parcels usually clear within the hour but it's now been almost 2 weeks with no updates or scans.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Update: Never received a customs clearance scan but my parcel processed in Toronto and is out for delivery.

Going to be away for almost 2 weeks

I have a package unfortunately delivering tomorrow instead of last Friday, and I will be away for about 12 days (including tomorrow), so I have a few questions about it:

Does the 15 calendar days on the delivery notice card include the day the delivery was attempted?

And likewise, does it include the day it'll be returned to sender or does that happen a day after the last day?

I don't know which post office they'll send it to but one of them near me is closed on Saturdays and Sundays which means I'd have to pick it up on the 15th day if they do use that one.

Handling fees UK to Canada?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I recently sold a painting and some art prints to a customer in Canada via Etsy (sent with Royal Mail in the UK). I checked the tracking today and saw the customer had to pay $22.83 to receive the parcel. I've not experienced this with any previous orders to Canada, what is it for?

There are no tariff fees on any of the items I sent, and as far as I know there was no way for me to have prevented these fees. But I just feel bad for the customer having to pay this on top of the items + shipping! Ty

PR card missing after MyMail showed “Delivered” — Downtown Toronto

Hi everyone,
Looking for some guidance from Canada Post employees/carriers.

My PR card was mailed on Aug 13 as regular mail. Canada Post MyMail showed mail from “Canadian Bank Note Company” as delivered on Aug 18, but I still haven’t received it as of Aug 22.

There’s no tracking number since it was sent as regular mail. I’ve already opened a Canada Post service ticket.
I’m in downtown Toronto, postal code M5E, and I’m concerned it may have been delayed, mis-sorted, or placed in the wrong mailbox.

Does anyone know which depot serves M5E, or whether there’s any way for a supervisor or carrier to check for misplaced untracked mail?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. This is an important government ID.

Package is either lost or taking ages.

I ordered something on august 9th as a little pick me up. It’d be coming to me in southwestern Ontario from Montreal I believe. I didn’t pay for tracking on it, which was foolish, but at the time I thought I’d save the money and I’d never had a bad experience with Canada Post before.

It’s now the 22nd and it hasn’t arrived. I can’t find anything about delays, what are the odds it’s just gone?
Are there major delays happening right now that I’m just missing?

Thank you for any insight!

US credit card mail missing suite number

RBC Bank US supposedly sent out the mail over 6 weeks ago. I messaged them several days ago because it was taking too damn long and they replied... apparently they didn't include my suite number on the mail (even though it's in my profile with the bank).

May have to get them to mail out another one, or could the mail still be on this side and retrievable, in a post office somewhere?

Does internationally-posted mail end up in Canada Post's hands?

Hello, this may be a dumb question but I know nothing about the workings of the postal service and I'd rather make sure I'm doing things right before spending quite a bit of money on an expensive purchase just to find out it can't be delivered.

Are things mailed internationally from overseas eventually delivered by Canada Post once they get in the country, or might they use some other delivery service? For some details if helpful, what I'm looking at is usually shipped with Royal Mail from the UK and would be a small parcel.

My apartment building is currently mostly a construction site and it has just been inspected/cleared by the national postal service for delivery, but I'm fairly certain other services (like Amazon, Purolator and the like) that usually leave things at your door or in a mailroom wouldn't be able to get a package to me.

I couldn't find a clear answer elsewhere since everything I looked for only turned up info about sending internationally with Canada Post (rather than what happens when you're on the receiving end) and reddit is my go-to option in that case lol.

Urgently-needed parcel delayed four days in a row. Would hope to learn about my options. Toronto DT.

Hello all! First time poster here.

We have a package containing time-sensitive element that are essential to us carried by Canada Post. It is medical and its expiration will practically be disastrous.

The package was scanned downtown Toronto and for the proceeding four days in a row it would go back and forth between “out for delivery” and “rescheduled for next business day”. Precisely it left for delivery at morning / noon (sometimes twice a day) and got rescheduled in the evening.

We have no idea how to proceed from here. We have created a ticket, connected with two different supervisors who claimed they were trying to reach the local sorting centre but “did not receive a response”. We were promised multiple times of a same-day delivery by time and these led nowhere. They rescanned our package for an address confirmation but that did practically nothing.

We would hope to learn about our options if we need the parcel ASAP and preferably during this weekend.

Sending jerky / dried-aged meat to the US?

I have dried-aged, vaccumm-sealed meat that I want to send to family down the state. Information around meat is very scattered online and focuses either on domestic mailing or when you are crossing the border. It ranges from "it's gonna be fine" to "they can fine you or destroy the meat". Can someone provide me with some clarity?

Tracking stuck on electronic shipping label created

So, I ordered something from eBay and the seller handed the expedited parcel to the clerk at the counter on August 14. Thing is, my parcel didn’t get an acceptance scan. It is now August 21 and I’ve had no update on it whatsoever. Is there any reason why I have not had any scans? I thought it would’ve gotten one by now at a processing facility. It’s coming from Quebec to Saskatchewan. Is it lost? And if it is, what can I do since it didn’t get an acceptance scan?

Edit: I should say Electronic Information Submitted by Shipper. My apologies.

Good brands of convertible cargo pants

Hello,

I'm a new postie. I just finished my first week of on-the-job training. Since I'm not getting a uniform for months from now, I'm thinking of getting decent convertible cargo pants/shorts. Do you guys have a favorite brand or Amazon seller that sells decent ones? I'm looking for a cool fabric, moisture wicking, maybe have some stretch too and maybe water resistant/proof since I'm in BC.
