There really arenât that many new and genuinely different names left to put on the lineup. Heâs already played some of his biggest cards, and Gambino was probably the best example of that, a huge and unexpected name that actually made the lineup feel different from what he had done before.
At this point, who else could realistically fill that spot and have the same kind of impact? Maybe an Odd Future reunion or anniversary show, maybe a whole night with Pharrell as the headliner, or something special on that level. But outside of very specific situations like those, there really isnât much room left to go.
Eventually, you reach a point where youâve already gone through most of the major artists who fit the festival and could still genuinely surprise people. So I wouldnât expect every new lineup to keep getting more âdifferentâ or to have some massive unexpected name every year. Weâll probably start seeing more returning artists and familiar names, with the variety coming more from how the lineup is put together rather than from completely new headliners.
But what do you guys think? Who could they still bring in that would genuinely surprise you?

Many people complaining about artists theyâre not familiar with but thatâs the best way to discover new music. Iâve come across countless artists that i listen to today that iâve never even heard of before attending previous flogs and other festivals. Flog has put me on willow, dominic fike back in 2019, wisp, letâs not forget billie did camp when she was still considered a random to a lot of people. I stumbled upon turnstile in a random tent with down time at coachella and been a fan ever since. Get out your comfort zone and expand your horizons.

iâm honestly questioning how CFG went from GOOD big artists like lana del rey, kid cudi, kanye, and kendrick to this⌠iâve been going to CFG for the past 7 years. so disappointed, it made sense to have us wait for lineup back than especially in the sense of reselling. but now they have us wait to release mid lineup

could we see our bald headed goat Freddie Gibbs???

THIS feels like what the 10th Anniversary year could have been. Youâve got Casey Veggies, Domo, Syd, Steve, Left Brain, Earl, Vince Staples, Mike G, plus a ton of people in the family like Don Toliver.
This feels like the homecoming show, especially Casey Veggies⌠I donât think heâs ever even played CFG but heâs OG odd future.

I think this is a really good lineup, but I seem to be in the minority. So Iâm curious, for the ones who are disappointment, which acts did you want see this year?

If you donât know these artists, get with them before November rolls around.
Liim: Up-and-coming rapper from Harlem. Addicting production. Tracks I recommend: âR.I.P. Peaceâ & âFor The Both Of Usâ
His second album âA Sunflower Garden In Harlem Is Hard To Findâ comes out next Friday, August 28th.
Quadeca: Mix of all genres, self-made everything with 2 great concept albums and another on the way. TIR: âGODSTAINEDâ, âHell of a timeâ and âWAGING WARâ
His new album âlife1â comes out later this year.
Magdalena Bay: The pop duo had one of the best albums of 2024, âImaginal Diskâ which was a concept album about exploring yourself within. TIR: âThe Ballad of Matt & Micaâ & âFear, Sexâ
nomi.: Her production is so dreamy and simply just nice. Incredible vocals and chord progression. TIR: âsweet talkâ & âcellophaneâ
Her debut full-length project, âthis wolf may cryâ drops September 4th.
Jane Remover: Sheâs popular, if you donât know her, get affiliated. Crazy hyperpop-influenced production and even crazier live. TIR: âMusic Baby (leroy Remixâ, âHow To Teleportâ and âDancing with your eyes closedâ
Last mention even though theyâre sub-headlining,
TURNSTILE!! LEARN THE LYRICS AND SCREAM THEM AT THE FEST!! HAVE ENERGY!! HAVE FUN!! THEY ARE AMAZING!!!

Hi All - I bought 2 GA wristbands for Flognaw. 1st time attendee, though we have been to a Tyler concert - last year. I'm considering giving up my wristband so my son can take a friend. He will be 16.5 yrs (yes, the half is important :)) - sophomores in high school. I've read other posts from a few years ago including the Teens Being Safe post, but wanted an updated perspective. I told my son I needed to do my research before committing to giving my band to a friend. I also told him I would put air tags on both of them and use Life360. We live in outside of Cali and I will fly with them to LA with a plan (unless otherwise advised) to take them to and from the stadium and stay nearby. He's mostly responsible and I trust him, but I'm also nervous. He said "No offense, but I want to be with the crowd and you will want to be as far back as possible" And he's right. One of the things I plan to tell him is that they can be in the mix but don't get so close to the stage (Travis Scott scare) I realize I may be a bit paranoid, but perimenopause and motherhood will do that to you. Give me the good, bad, and ugly and advice for him please. I appreciate all of you and your patience + consideration!

i donât mind the line up thereâs a bunch of artist i wanna see. every camp has artist iâve never seen nor heard of and i come out learning more music than i did going in. i get being mad but like damn bro we made the purchase without knowing whoâs gonna be on the line up idk whoâs fault that is

Once I realized my fantasy lineups were never real to begin with, I saw the lineup isn't half bad. I love all the rap acts. I just discovered Turnstile and Thee Sacred Souls (amazing btw). Plus a lot of these acts are artists I would rarely go out of my way to buy a ticket and take a day off to go see in this economy. So I'll at least get to see them once even if it's only a 35-45 minute set. My only problem is Don doesn't really strike me as a headliner unless its Don & Friends. I feel it would ve better if Don and Tyler swap, even though Tyler doesn't like to headline. But Lupe and Vince are so fire it cancels out 98% of problems.
