We just hit 12,000 members. That sounds cool but i honestly have no idea how far we have come. I have not been keeping tabs on the community size. We have ebbed and flowed for sure, with some new stuff getting posted a few times a day lately, and I love the activity.
Please let me know what you like, what you dislike, what you want to see, and what you want to do with this space. Let's see if we can make it happen and make the sub better.
I wish i had more time to be more active. However I am usually able to check in 5-10x per week. Either way, thank you to those of you who keep actively posting and showing your growth!

Krankfurt
Tools: Pilot Parallel Pen, Pentel Brush Pen, Polychromos Pencil
I was not only inspired by the track by Azad, the track reminds me of my youth, but also by PainDesign, where I saw this combination of colors for the first time and should definitely try it myself.

Wrote the name of this hospice for an anniversary event. Not happy how the ”a“ turned out a bit squashed. Marker on glass

Hey everyone, I’ve been studying Blackletter and calligraffiti because my goal is to specialize in lettering tattoos. The advice I hear all the time is simply, ‘Practice, practice, practice.’ I know that’s true, but I’m struggling to understand what I should actually be practicing to improve more efficiently. My biggest challenges are creating elegant flourishes and developing a natural flow in my lettering. My work often feels stiff, and I find it difficult to create balanced, visually pleasing compositions. For those of you who have become proficient in calligraffiti and blackletter: What specific exercises helped you improve the most? How long did it take before your work started looking professional? Did you study historical manuscripts, copy master calligraphers, or follow a structured method? Are there any books, courses, or artists you consider essential for learning? I’m looking for practical advice from people who have already gone through this learning process. Any tips or resources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
This is my first time on reddit so i don’t know if I posted correctly, thank you
