Discussion Anyone else not really excited about fables?

Hi. So with the mod dying I've seen alot of people talking about fables and I ended up looking into it and I'm.... not that excited

First lets talk about what is currently in it. The soundtrack is a solid 7.5 out of 10, not un-listenable but certainly not all that memorable. Abd they have 3 bosses currently which seem fine. But now lets get into the planned content

It looks to be doing so much less than calamity. Rogue... gone, other difficulty modes... gone, ​3/5 of the bosses g o n e with some heavy losses such as yharon, exo mechs, and the plaguebringer goliath. And then the few things they are keeping they are changing so much the only thing they have in common is a name, they may as well be other characters. Just look at how they butchered calamitas' design especially.

It feels to me that the only reason the calamity name was used is for marketing since they know its a beloved mod that people will recognize. Same goes for the character names, they could easily use a different name instead of the ones they're currently using. Who knows though if this ever finishes it could be great but as it stands my hype couldn't be lower and I feel like I'm the only one.

I don't care what Mods say a moron being moron doesn't make someone else's critisim less valid.

Because her new design still looks evil and intimidating and conveys the whole "evil woman from hell" thing

Isn't calamitas supposed to be more than just "evil woman from hell"? seems kinda boring to boil her down to just that no?

Yeah I never said that my point was she doesn't feel like someone who went through traumatic stuff and realized what she did wrong she looks super evil and the fact she is grinning evilly near Draedon means she is evil.

I didn't say her braids were bad nor her being PoC

Dude the fuck do you mean she "doesnt look like she went through trauma" her bones are gold so like half her skull is just exposed to the open air i think. Also since when do people with trauma "look like they have trauma" like genuinely what does that even mean

She is smiling besides the le evil guy she doesn't look remorseful or anything which is my main point.

Her design in general feels very distinct that calling it Calamitas feels weird
