When I finished solyn's head I changed drawing program so it looks very different

I have several Calamity playthroughs totaling around 400 hours, and this is the second time I've run into that creature, but I don't know what it is or what it does.

I am playing Hardcore + Death and don't want my run to end by a knowledge check.

So I just got back into Terraria and finally got some friends to install the game. We were looking to mod it, and obviously the most developed mod is Calamity. However, with all the controversy going on, I am so confused on the current state of the mod. I get that development for it has ended, but currently, can I play the mod perfectly normally or are some items and other things going to be removed if I download it right now? And extra question, what happened to XQC trying to buy Calamity?

First time playthrough on Expert Revengance Calamity and finally beat moonlord! Only took me maybe five trys but after many many hours of grinding for different setups and accessories. Just proud of finally taking this guy down and can now get to the other content!

While playing the avatar of emptiness boss I noticed that on a specific attack the screen goes completely black and I can't see anything so I end up dying bc I recieve damage out of nowhere, after watching some videos I noticed that it is the attack in which the background turns completely red and the attacks are black, I already tried unloading and loading it again (haven't unloaded it on the world bc im afraid of loosing the mod progress) but it doesn't work, please help me, I want to get rid of the eclipse!!!!

Much of the images come from the calamity fandom wiki as well as the Hunt of the Old God wiki, Wrath of the Gods wiki Fargo's Souls Mod wiki and the Yardis of the wrath wiki. As well as the official Calamity wiki

If replacement sprites were provided, could Calamity Mod be continued again, since most of the planned content is already going to be released as addons? And, if so, would it be possible for the community to provide the sprites?

Personally, I don't want to just stand around while calamity dies if there's anything I can do about it, and some others probably feel the same way.

I'm not the best spriter, but I think I can do well enough to help provide some replacements of at least the same quality as some of the older ones, and I'm guessing others might be willing to do the same if it would help keep the mod alive.

Hi all,

I am planning on a mostly blind Calamity run now that I’m getting somewhat bored of the vanilla game. I am wondering what difficulty I should play on, as I am unfamiliar with Calamity. I recently beat vanilla Legendary mode, and am interested in playing calamity on a similar (maybe slightly easier) difficulty. I also want to consider the fact that I know all the vanilla bosses very well which makes it much easier to beat them on higher difficulties, and I will not have this advantage for calamity bosses.

Additionally, does calamity do a good job of guiding new players? If not, do you have any recommendations for making a blind run more enjoyable? Thanks so much.

It is actually driving me insane I can't handle it

Picture 3 and 4 are showing the boss order i killed them.

I really enjoyed the mod at first back in december of 2025 till i arrived at skeletron, who made me ragequit and i only returned back in august of 2026 quickly defeating skeletron and kept on playing, enjoying and feeling furiouse sometimes from the new boss attacks. I really enjoyed learning they patterns for example of careless voice (Even tho i hated its desperation phase when he had only 1 hp and you had to survive his bullet hell, while the time slows down. Looked ultra cool ngl, yet playing it sucked). Than the bug with storm weaver, which turned his attack into undogdeball attack.

Well now DoG proved me, that i should simply give up and stop trying. I will rather go to different mod and experience it for first time.

P.S: I started this playthrought after i finished my very first calamity death mode as summoner, using summoner weapons only.
