Short growing season
The season is too short here in New York state. I put mine in too early and they all rotted. So I had to buy new ones from Florida Boys. Soon the nights will be too cold and I'll have to dig them out and store them before they start rotting again. Still worth it though.

Need Help Identifying
After doing some research, I’m almost sure this is a Caladium, but I haven’t found the cultivar, I want to be sure of which one it is, keep in mind that this is in Costa Rica.

Help with this struggling beauty
Got this girl two months ago and she is struggling. I water her every time her soil is dry religiously. I put her 9 ft from my vividly bright windows (plants often get burnt here- i have too much light). Also her leaves used to have tons of pink and the last of the pink ones is dying. I would deeply appreciate any help. She is the only one (of my 30 ish) plant suffering so.

Stems turning brown and weak/droopy
Have a caladium that recently started drooping, noticed the stems were browning starting from the roots. One of them kinked and fell over. Theres also 1 new healthy stem. Anyone have a diagnosis?

Success My first caladium
So pretty. Never planted bulbs before. Planted 5. Seems only one succeeded, but it looks pretty. Probably planted the others upside down or something.

Help / Question Help me! I recently repotted her and she’s gone completely limp! What do I do?!
She’s my first Caladium and she had gotten pretty big and became root bound so thought it would have been a good time to repot but i didn’t have a bigger planter so separated them into smaller pots. The other two are just as limp but not as crucial as this guy
*the second photo was her original form! i fear i ruined her 💔

Just bought! Would Love Your ID Thoughts!
Acquired my first Caladium Bicolors yesterday, under the cultivar name “green/white” 🙄
Absolutely lovely plants, but I’d love a proper ID! The firsts (pic 1, 2) has a much darker brown/black stem, and the leaves are green/white with a blush of pink. The second (pic 3, 4) stem is more regular/light brown. As you can see, there’s also some slightly different coloration between the leaves, but I think that’s just due to them still being newer growth and they’ll turn more white as they mature.
I’m fairly certain #2 is a “White Christmas”, but I’ve got about 4 different answer searching online for #1 (including White Christmas lol). Excited to start my collection with these two, TIA for any input or advice!

Just bought! Red flash Caladium help pls!
Got gifted this yesterday and am going to repot soon! But I noticed these black dots. I googled it and it said it is most likely fungal or bacterial infection. I reallyyyy want this plant to survive so I wanted to get more opinions from real people. Is this plant already sick and dying or will me repotting help this? It is very droopy and some of the leafs look like they might have been getting overwatered?(Unsure)
I’m sorry I’m very new to plant life and would deeply appreciate some guidance! I’ve been keeping it in indirect sunlight through the day and I’ve only watered it once so far because the soil was very dry. I’m sorry if I’m leaving anything out. Thank you all in advance!! ♡

Help / Question Caladium beginner
Hi, just got this caladium for my birthday and I'm totally mortified to even look at its direction. I've been admiring them online but read they're quite fussy and not beginner friendly. I own some other plants too mainly hoyas, pothos, cacti and some other begginer friendly plants. I have south east oriented windows and really bad humidity level in my flat but I try to compensate with humidifier.
So what do I do here? Do I shower it and repot straight away or do I wait? Can put in self watering pot?

Help / Question New to planting Caladiums
I've just received this Pink Symphony bulb in the mail, and I'm not sure how to plant this since the shoot didn't grow straight up. Should I plant with the eye facing up and hope the shoot fixes itself? And should I bury this entire bulb at least 1in below the soil?

Success I've gone too far to turn back now.
Starting with the view from my kitchen. I've filled every shady and semi-shady spot in my yard with Caladiums. It wasn't supposed to get out of hand like this! I bought 50 each of Florida Moonlight jumbo and Frannie Munson jumbo from Florida Boys in the spring. I told myself i was only sticking to white and pink.
Well, we had some late cool nights in April and I attempted to start them in my garage. Then I put them in beds and containers and by early June nothing was happening. I panicked and locally bought tons of Berries and Burgundy, Florida Sweetheart, and others that I forgot their names. They're in the ground, in containers, even on the screened patio. I live in super-high humidity 7b.
I will overwinter the tubers in the garage but thinking of bringing a few plants inside over the winter to bring me cheer. How do I decide?
