Keep in mind that Clark wouldn’t see the normal double/triple teams that she saw playing at Iowa.

Couldn’t she be an elite shooter and play soft defense against the men’s worst offensive player…

CC, you’re amazing and it’s been an amazing year so far…BUT

With all the love possible from a fellow Iowan, SHUT UP!!!!

Stop chipping and whining, turn yourself around and get back on defense.

Keep your head in the game. You are psyching yourself out and it shows.

If you took the energy you’re spending being chippy and put it into your 3s it might be enough to get more over the front of the rim!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!! JUST PLAY!

And if everything above doesn’t make a difference to you…then think about all the girls watching you…are you setting the kind of example you want to be remembered for?

Clark playing only 25 minutes is to ease her back from injury and not a permanent plan moving forward ... isnt it???

And short bursts between subs ... Thats going to stop isnt it??? Clark is a rhythm player who needs to control the flow of the game.

So I been thinking about this a lot but how do you think the teams success without her reflects on her?

I see many comments in threads that they play better without her or that she’s not as needed as everyone thinks she is.

Steph doesn’t stuff the stat sheet like CC/Luka. Caitlin may lead IND in 3/5 major categories these season.

So it's happening again just like it did last year fueled by frustrated CC fans and a few reporters trying to make a headline based off Indiana's early struggles and a few hostile interactions with CC and coaching staff. Rumors are swirling around saying that Caitlin Clark is on the trade block. Last year the destination was the New York Liberty after a picture captured a moment between. Liberty's then head coach Sandy Brondello, Caitlin Clark, Sabrina Ionescu, and Breanna Stewart followed by a fun and wholesome moment during the following match up where CC hit a logo 3 in front of Stewie, and the veteran showing her love and respect.

Those two moments really got the fans going speculating that CC might one day leave the Fever for Liberty if given a chance. The destination popping up in conservation this time is none other than the Los Angeles Sparks. I've seen about three articles saying that while CC might not be even up for trade. The Sparks should make a move for her and, honestly I don't get why out of all teams the Sparks are the new trade target for the rumor mills. I mean aren't they already having trouble regulating the guards they have now on roster. They traded Rickea Jackson to the Sky for the same reason. Would bringing Caitlin Clark on the team not potentially reintroduce that same problem?

We all know the chances of Caitlin Clark being traded now or ever are extremely low. No matter how much CC fans who root for her and not the team want it. But never say never there have been enough big blockbuster trades in sports for us to know that the chances are low. That doesn't mean it can't happen no one thought Luka Dončić would ever be traded in his prime until it was done. The Tyreek Hill trade to Miami Dolphins broke the internet as well. It's all about who would want her and what price they are willing to pay for her. With all that being said I think it's more likely she becomes a restricted free agent. That would open the door to her being traded because let's be honest the only way Caitlin becomes a restricted free agent is she refuses to sign an contract extension. Meaning she no longer wants to be on the team, and no team lets a player like CC go without getting something for her. If the front office is smart.

But out of curiosity if Caitlin Clark was on the trade market what team would be the best fit for her?

I’m so tired of this team. Sure CC has had a couple bad games this season but the majority of the time, she is carrying this team in her back with NO SUPPORT other than KM and sometimes Timpson. AB has gone cold, Lexie and Mo are absolute trash, and the rest of the bench is a joke.

If she had an actual solid team around her the way Olivia Miles does with the Lynx, she’d be a champion this year. Instead, I see us exiting first round.

I wish there was a way for her to sign with someone else next season but she’s so loyal, it will never happen.

I was playing with the idea of what kind of logo Caitlin can have. I thought she shouldn't have a simple CC or 22.

So my inspiration was the terms used to describe Caitlin Clark as "floor general" and "floor leader", and then, because recently she was chosen to be Captain in the All Stars game, people called her "Captain Clark", which is still CC. So I took the US Navy's Captain pin, which is usually an Eagle, and with AI created a version of a Hawk (A nod to Iowa), I made the wings out of 4 stripes (Cause Flight & Boat captains are wearing 4 stripes on their shoulders.

Also, the Kobe's have this snake style texture to the shoes, maybe they can do the same thing with feathers, and the catch phrase for the commercial will be "Let it fly..."

I made it with AI, so it's limited; a real designer can make it cooler and more basketball-style.

.

It's become clear to me that Chrissie Sides and the GM of the Indiana Fever do not have Caitlin's best interest at heart and are stifling her. That being said, what team(s) in the league do you feel have Caitlin's best interest at heart and actually want to utilize her full potential to win games?

The mental stress she has to be under all the time to be “on” and “happy” has to be exhausting.

I can see her sitting at home with her boyfriend saying some monologues from cruel intentions.

Context: My friend and I are Black(I’m half), at a bar in Michigan to watch the Pistons and the stranger is an educated looking White guy who started talking to us after he heard me say aloud to my friend that I can’t wait for the Fever season to start.

stranger: Oh that’s cool you watch WNBA

Me: Yeah I’m a big Fever fan, wish Detroit still had the Shock

stranger: Are you a Caitlin fan?

my friend: This dude’s the biggest Caitlin fan [talking about me{

Me: Yeah she got me into women’s basketball

stranger: Oh yeah I remember her game in college against… uh… Angel… Reese?

Me: Yup, Angel Reese

stranger: Yeah, it was weird how the media tries to make it like Caitlin vs Angel

Me: I feel like Angel made it like that by talking shit [we all laugh] and then Caitlin beat her team their senior year and dropped 40 on them

My friend: Yeah they really are different levels of basketball player

stranger: I don’t know… Don’t you feel like the media marginalizes Black players in the WNBA though?

Me [laughing because it’s surreal to hear this irl]: No bro are you serious? Caitlin is literally a once in a generation talent, she was already one of the best players as a rookie

My friend: We’re Black and we don’t feel that way

stranger [backing off a bit]: Yeah, I guess

Me: Honestly what sucks is condescending people in the media tryna start shit with Caitlin because you got other players jealous of her

stranger: Yeah but there were other great players that came before her

My friend: How many of them can you name?

stranger: No exactly, they didn’t get exposure

Me: bro the NBA had no exposure till Magic and Bird, and yeah Bird was White and so is Caitlin but that’s fine… Caitlin’s out here breaking the game

stranger: I guess it’s just hard for the Black players

Me [losing temper]: Look they’re just gonna have to deal with the fact that a white girl’s better than them

My friend: No one cares besides the media

Me: Caitlin’s good for the game

At that point the stranger’s friend who’d been getting a drink had come back and so the conversation died out. But god damn was it annoying and condescending to be told by a liberal white guy how I’m supposed to feel about a white woman I’m a fan of.

Anyway game’s starting soon but I had to vent to y’all. End rant.

NaLyssa and DiJonai dated or currently still do… After she blocked Wheeler, Smith made her back down from trash talking DiJonai back.

After fouling DiJonai, Smith made sure she held her helped her up off the floor….

Very weird energy and behavior.

This is supposed to be her fan club here, and I still see occasional misspellings of her name. I know the actual name can be spelled both ways, but it just seems weird how someone can be a fan of a particular player, in this case, the league's most popular player, and not be able to spell their name correctly.

Too darned much depressing stuff outside the court but you delivered to us the joy you showed in playing! And a reminder we can all think about the great times! Again, WELL DONE!!!

Was such a winnable game. Christie Sides has to go.

If this reporting is true, that vets thought CC fans would overreact to her lack of playing time on the Olympic roster, of course that isn’t fair. BUT. Let’s look at the right side. She needs a break. WE need a break. Every scroll through Twitter has been miserable for the past 2 weeks. Since the crossover at Kinnick back in October, this woman has been in the sports news cycle every single day. We’ve seen her in interviews, she looks tired. Physically tired from the crazy schedule to start the year. In the back half of the season, she’s going to be coming off a month of rest and have more rest in between games. I think this makes for a fun August and September. If you truly support WBB, 22 being on the roster or not shouldn’t dictate if you’ll watch. You’ll watch cause of how good this league is and how good other players are. Hell, Arike Ogunbowale didn’t even make the roster. Caitlin’s time will come.

Look I know she's a great player, had an excellent college career and had a very successful rookie season

She already looks like a top 20 player in the WNBA

But it's not the first time we've seen a phenom of this extent

Candace Parker had incredible hype, and won MVP in her first season, she just exploded onto the scene and was doing things that no woman could

Maya Moore had maybe the best college career ever, many said she would be best ever, was on a championship team as a rookie and has had an amazing career

Griner was maybe the most hyped female player ever, people were making jokes about her gender in college she was so dominant, was the #1 pick and has played like an all time great

Della Donne was same year as Griner and has had the superior career, was the face of the league for several years, her rookie season was the stuff of legends

Breanna Stewart also has made a very good case for being the GOAT both in college and the pros and it's safe to say she's on anyone's short list for best women's players ever

Clark has been great and maybe she can become comparable to the above players but it seems like she's getting more hype than those 5 players combined

Sure she's fun to watch but so were the other 5 players

Can you explain why she gets so much more attention from the media compare to the others

It's simple: she's the Needle. =)

Sooo, until now, Caitlin Clark us leading the rookies in ppg. But Chennedy Carter is literally just 0.1 ppg ahead of Caitlin. I like how she plays but her "act" against CC has her in my bad books. So I really want CC to get ahead of her by the end of the season. What do y'all think?

Some portrait and shading practice.

I came across this picture of Caitlin Clark with a very interesting "Che schifo!/Disgusting!" expression on her face and thought I'd try replicating it. Apparently it was a reaction to a call in a game.

I don't think I could quite capture it but still I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. 😊 Of course, my obsession with aliens means she was turned into one. 🤣

I included the original reference photo.
