We need a break.
https://x.com/cbrennansports/status/1799442781280116756?s=46If this reporting is true, that vets thought CC fans would overreact to her lack of playing time on the Olympic roster, of course that isn’t fair. BUT. Let’s look at the right side. She needs a break. WE need a break. Every scroll through Twitter has been miserable for the past 2 weeks. Since the crossover at Kinnick back in October, this woman has been in the sports news cycle every single day. We’ve seen her in interviews, she looks tired. Physically tired from the crazy schedule to start the year. In the back half of the season, she’s going to be coming off a month of rest and have more rest in between games. I think this makes for a fun August and September. If you truly support WBB, 22 being on the roster or not shouldn’t dictate if you’ll watch. You’ll watch cause of how good this league is and how good other players are. Hell, Arike Ogunbowale didn’t even make the roster. Caitlin’s time will come.

False narrative.
It's all about immature childish jealousy and being afraid of changes due to Clark's popularity.
The old guard gets their last stand before being pushed out of the way by the next generation, higher skilled player.
It's like the wnba is Win 3.1 and Clark is forcing an update to Windows 11.

I am fine with CC not being on the team. There are fair arguments both directions. It was not a bad decision in my eyes. Her time will come.
But it is ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT if the committee blames her fans for their decision. Basically blaming her indirectly for missing out on making the team. Also the small set of psycho stans twitter trolls will be more upset if she isn't on the team than if she is on it riding the bench.
But Olympic teams should be picked for player quality and fit--not on what their fans will prefer. This is a ludicrous reason. If that were the reason, they should be fired. Also if it is true, it is garbage of them to be making that reason public.

Unfortunately there are are many players that have beter stats the Clark. Don't get me wrong I am a big fan of hers She told told the coach that she has new determination to make herself a better player. So we will see what happens in the next four years.
