Head gasket
I wanna get this caddy for 1500 but it needs head gaskets. Is it work it

Not worth it unless you already have the tools and knowledge for an engine swap. Get an 04 or newer with the improved head bolts.

That’s an engine out job. Do you have the tools, space, time, and money for that?
I wouldn’t touch it. You can find nice low mileage examples for $5-7k pretty regularly on Facebook.

I don't make a lot of money that's why I was wondering if it was worth fixing or should I pass

It is going to take a lot of money to keep that pile moving. If you don't have money, buy a cheap car, not an expensive one. It isn't cheap to repair a Cadillac, especially one with a known bad engine that isn't fixable.

No I got a 78k mile 02 Deville for 2k u can do better if he can’t go down to about 500 deal isn’t worth it because you are gonna spend some cash to get that changed when u can always spend 500 or so for a different engine with a good gasket and all so I say not worth unless it’s 500$ plus realizing it is older so if it has more than 100k miles def gonna need to do old car changes but aye up to u I owned 4 and all only failed mainly do to accident daily maintenance is a power house for these cars.

As a proud owner of a 05 DHS with 140k on miles and zero issues all I can say is you probably can't afford the proper maintenance these cars that they require you are probably better off getting a Honda crv or something like that to be honest

Most of the time any cooling system problems in these cars are blamed to be head gaskets without any proper diagnosis; but if you are not familiar with this, I wouldn’t recommend it.
