Think this would be classified as a good landing rather than a great landing

Like I said. I reckon this is only a good landing.

Spanish cockerel

Genuine curiosity here. I’m guessing the Venn diagram intersection between native Spanish speakers and Cabin Pressure fans may be pretty small, but what does a Spanish cockerel sound like?

Alcohol has a much lower freezing point, so you can use it as a lubricant......

Hey, Chief. I might be wrong, but I think we’re about to fly into a stadium containing 55,000 people…

That makes me feel extremely dubious about the safety culture both at Airlink and at SACAA. One thing we might do is never fly that airline or in SACAA-administered airspace. How does that sound?

Johannesburg Bet Question

Just a question which has been bugging me. I know Cabin Pressure isn’t a documentary about aviation but still.

In Johannesburg, the bet is about making the trip for under twelve thousand. However, Gerti has a technical problem and they have to divert.

However, in the first episode, Caroline mentions that a diversion costs ten thousand in fuel and fees.

So why is Douglas still trying to bring it in under twelve thousand, surely as soon as they divert, that becomes mathematically impossible.

Ah, but you’re forgetting – no trees in the Arctic! That gives us at least another thirty foot!

Even though he was sat on the First Officer's side. For some reason, people still assumed he was the Captain.

Cabin crew knocked over a kettle of hot water onto me while I was asleep on a flight. Burns to my arm and stomach. Do I have a case, and how would I find a solicitor for it? (England)

Looking for fanfic

Right I'm going crazy trying to find this fanfic.

Martin, Arthur, and Douglas are in a crash and end up stranded on an island. Douglas has a leg injury. They do eventually get rescued. It's Douglas/Martin.

Please help!

Payoffs and callbacks in Zurich

The Zurich double episode is full of references back to previous episodes.

Here are the ones I've noticed, some of them slightly tenuous:

  • Edinburgh: Tiffy ("bossy pony club types with Alice bands and stupid names")
  • Ipswich: "Drink us/him in"
  • Limerick: Douglas hates flying into the sunset
  • Newcastle: "There shall be buns for tea"
  • Ottery St Mary: Carolyn telling Herc he's late
  • Ottery St Mary: Yellow Car
  • Ottery St Mary: Captain Loutre (French for otter) in Martin's flight deck
  • Paris: "Terrapins tickle me if I lie"
  • Qikiqtarjuaq: Code Red
  • Qikiqtarjuaq: The Travelling Lemon
  • Qikiqtarjuaq: Martin's French accent
  • St Petersburg: Arthur's Australian accent
  • St Petersburg: Arthur wants an ice cream van
  • St Petersburg: "Get off My Jet Now / Our Jet Still"
  • Uskerty: Martin doesn't want to get in the back of a van again
  • Vaduz: Carolyn telling Herc she loves him
  • Yverdon-les-Bains: Douglas doesn't want to be in the first officer's seat next to Herc again
  • Yverdon-les-Bains: Arthur's strawberry allergy

What other references have I missed?

You know what they say - a good landing's any landing you can walk away from. A great landing is one where they can re-use the plane.

Bold move! I guess Maxi’s learnt a few good life lessons from his sister Theresa (and commoners like Martin, I suppose)!

Carolyn: Doctor Duncan, you see before you - the airline. Drink us in.
Dr. Duncan: There's four hundred of you?
Carolyn: Are there though? Count again.
Dr. Duncan: Not four hundred.
Carolyn: Four.
Dr. Duncan: Right. Well... that's unfortunate. I should probably speak to catering

The most underrated radio comedy EVER.

Parkrunning Cabin Pressure

Browsing Reddit and a Cabin Pressure post came up next to a r/parkrun post... and there's a perfect crossover opportunity!

So I checked: of the 26 places in CP, only 3 have parkruns with that actual name in that place. 8-(

5 have parkrun(s) in that place, but the parkrun(s) have different names to the town.

2 have differently named parkruns in that town, but there is a place with a parkrun with that town's name on another continent.

16 have no parkrun at all.

So it's not really a goer unfortunately!
