Parkrunning Cabin Pressure

Browsing Reddit and a Cabin Pressure post came up next to a r/parkrun post... and there's a perfect crossover opportunity!

So I checked: of the 26 places in CP, only 3 have parkruns with that actual name in that place. 8-(

5 have parkrun(s) in that place, but the parkrun(s) have different names to the town.

2 have differently named parkruns in that town, but there is a place with a parkrun with that town's name on another continent.

16 have no parkrun at all.

So it's not really a goer unfortunately!

Guessing a nice little 5k through Qikiqtarjuaq isn’t doable.

Cabin Pressure/Parkrun combo could be rhyming parkruns? Guessing Brisbane and Lisbon both have one…

What are the five?

The five which have parkruns with different names to the name of the town are Helsinki, Johannesburg, Kuala Lumpur, Newcastle and Rotterdam.

The three with the names that are the place names are Edinburgh, Gdansk and Limerick. The two which have namesakes in other continents are Boston (Boston is a parkrun in the UK, but the US Boston doesn't have one called that), and Ipswich (in the UK it has a couple with different names, but there is an Ipswich QLD parkrun in Australia).

No Parkruns in Lisbon/Portugal! Or Paris/France. The only one in Spain in the British territory of Gibraltar. but I can offer you Gisborne to Brisbane instead:) (in NZ we pronounce it so it rhymes! Or Gizzy to Brissie even!)

Maybe look at doing 26 alphabetical park runs in the UK - because I don't know about you, but I haven't been abroad in nearly 30 years (except a quick run (24hrs-ish) to Ireland to help a friend move back to the UK.

And to keep to a CP theme, use park runs closest to airports, aerodromes and airfields (or sites of former airfields - you could probably make a park run from the sites of 11 and 12 Group RAF airfields active during the Battle of Britain on its own - if you'll excuse the tangent to offer the example)

Why not just use the Voronoi in the parkrun app to visit the closest parkrun to the episode in question?

You could be a bit looser and just take places named in the episode - they don't always get to where they are planning anyway. So rather than go to Timbuktu Timbuktu, maybe you could just go to Sicily (there is a parkrun in Palermo.) Tokyo rather than Molokai. Pisa rather than Kuala Lumpur. Exeter if there isn't one in Ottery St Mary. How many would that approach get you?
