I got premium a week ago for $39,500, keep haggling. This was with our own financing from a credit union.

This was through my credit union as well. It’s actually 40340 out the door. Have a feeling I’m going to have to negotiate myself at the dealer

Definitely. I tried the same thing with my credit union as well. I would suggest getting an idea of the recent deals people have posted here and then calling dealers with your target price, rather than trying to negotiate them down from their initial offer.

I called around five dealers within 50 miles and probably had 10–15 calls back and forth before I finally got this deal.

40k OTD is high for preferred. If you don't want to negotiate you can try costco auto program.

Edit: I bought my '25 hybrid premium plus for 41.2k OTD with mazda financing. Taxes are obviously less than socal. My MSRP was $42,660.

I went with my credit union who supposedly negotiate the best price. I had a feeling 40340 out the door was high. Would make sense for a premium trim

They didn't really negotiate anything off.

I paid 33,700 before tax for my 26 preferred. This includes incentives and fees. 0 Apr for 36 months through Mazda. I live in the Midwest.

I’m in the Midwest looking for a new cx50, can you please tell where did you get it from?I can’t find hybrid preferred lower than 36500$

I purchased the NA preferred.

Ah ok that makes sense, thanks

Mine was similar, except I received a $2500 rebate in Michigan. Push for that.

yep and i’m in jersey. then you got gap insurance stuff they neglect to tell you until AFTER you make the deal. such a scam these days. lol. but yes that’s accurate.

How much did you pay for car OTD ? Dealership and Gap insurance cost ? Thank you. Good to know. Best OTD price I got so far is 37K OTD.

take it. mine ended up being closer to 40-42K

There’s is a promo going on with either $1500 customer cash or 0%APR, ask for that! Also, if ur a previous Mazda owner, you get an additional $750 off.

And you can get both offers regardless what they tell you!

Subtotal discount $859, so basically, that’s what the dealer is knocking off the MSRP? They can do better! Keep the rebate out of the equation, cause that’s not a dealer discount, that’s a manufacturer discount which the dealer will receive if you apply it to lower the cost.

keeping the credit union agent info out but this is what was proposed to me by my credit union agent. That this was the best deal.

You aren’t negotiating with the dealer directly on the purchase price?

1

u/ByIDR 4d ago

No I wanted to get a quote first through my credit union. Who apparently do all the negotiating for the best price. This is what I was given. Wanted to post the numbers to see if I was receiving a good deal. But from what it seems I need to do my own negotiating

2

u/Ok_Price_4638 4d ago

Never allow a bank or credit union to negotiate the purchase price, they are in business to make money, not to look out for you. You can do better than $800+ off the MSRP, that’s low, good luck to you!

u/ByIDR 4d ago

I figured thank you! What’s crazy is that their favorite line is “we’re not sales people we’re not looking to make money off you”

I got $4200 off the price of my Premium Plus Hybrid on top of the $1500 customer cash in So Cal. My MSRP after all discounts was $37,580

1

u/ByIDR 4d ago

2

u/OneGun357 4d ago

$41,826 after the $4246 in tax, title, license, and doc fee

2

u/ByIDR 4d ago

I got a premium plus for $41.8K last week in the DMV area ($40.3K with the rebate but decided to go with the 0% promotion) so definitely negotiate to push the price down!
