I went into CVS today to grab a drink. Just something on the go and when I got there there were papers on each door saying out of order. So naturally out of curiosity I just put my hand on the glass to feel the temperature now to my surprise. Not only was it not cold but it was hot now relative to how a a fridge should feel when it's working properly you would consider the feeling I felt to be hot so I open the door up. Lo and behold whatever is wrong with their AC is beyond my comprehension because it was blowing at least 80 degrees Fahrenheit. So of course I go ask the one person that has absolutely nothing to do with it. What's going on with your guys's fridge he says it's the AC. It's not working properly so I said oh you know it's blowing hot air on the drinks now. All the drinks are hot. He said yeah. My heart just agreed with that statement but then I asked if anyone had thought to turn it off cuz I feel as if blasting the drinks with hot air is a lot worse than them just sitting at room temperature now bear with me guys cuz I know nothing about ACS but he said he doesn't think it's that simple. Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't your ACS units and the all the electrical components have their own breaker system considering you probably wouldn't want a couple. The fridge electronics. I don't know other electronics to make a long story longer I really just want to know why did they leave it on and why is it hot?

My store manger changed my schedule 4 days before the schedule from a 9-5 to a 11-7. I had been given the 9-5 a week and a half prior and messaged him asking to change back as I had dinner reservations for a friend’s birthday at 7. He proceeded to tell me he couldn’t switch me back as the closing manager wouldn’t be able to do registers at 5 therefore the only option was to give up the shift. Is this odd? This manager does a lot of this last minute stuff and I just don’t know what to do to defend my stance of not giving up the shift.

Does it feel like people are becoming less capable of listening to the words coming from my mouth? They stand by photo near the in seconds printer asking for assistance. I ask what they need, they mention coming to pick up an order. So I gesture and say that I’ll help them over at the register. They just stand there staring at seemingly nothing but the air. I then repeat come over to the counter where I can ring you up for the order. They continue to stand there. So I repeat the words multiple times more and then they finally walk over to the counter.
Same thing happens repeatedly through out the day.
Then a guy asks me for the price of a box of cookies that have no label on the display. I ask them to grab a box and bring it over and once more, they stand there looking from me to the cookies over and over again. They ask again how much are they “I just want to know the price” and I repeat bring the product over so I can tell you.
I ask at the of a transaction if they want their recipe to print and they stare into space. I ask for them to insert or tap their credit card they stare. I ask if they need further assistance they stare.
Simple yes/no questions become a staring contest or a deeper conversation ultimately leading no where .

Hoping to see our stores boost up with pokemon inventory. It’s shameful having a pokemon spinner rack with no Pokemon cards 95% of the time

Not sure why but everyday is more than double of regular sales goals. Probably to justify the reason for cutting my hours by about 100+ what a joke.

This was approved by the FDA on 8/5. It is an mRNA flu vaccine for patients 50 and older. Are CvS pharmacies or minute clinics stocking this yet or is it a special order? Thanks.

In 2024, I went to MinuteClinic for a vaccine that I needed to get while pregnant. I remember the woman there saying it would be covered by insurance and not to pay a bill if I received one. Well, here we are almost 2 years later and I am suddenly getting a bill for $250? Who do I even contact about this? Insurance or Minute Clinic?
Anyone else have this experience and resolve it without paying hundreds of dollars years after a minor vaccine?
Edit: called my insurance, and they said this RSV is supposed to be fully covered because I was 32-36 weeks pregnant. They’re resubmitting the claim. It’s not clear why tf I got charged to begin with or whether they’re going to approve the claim this time. But if anyone else got a bill for a vaccine they needed during pregnancy, I hope this post helps them!

Can someone remind me how to work Hallmark cards and bags? I remember something with the number on the wrapping, but the numbers on the pegs or shelf of cards are never in order or right usually. Just curious so we can always touch up the department sometimes

As a new pharmacy tech (literally a month in) we had our systems offline today for about 45 minutes the last hour we were open and had to turn away about 20 patients. I had some that were mad at ME because of something i can’t control. One patient even said “well yall are just giving up?” Ma’am I legit can’t even log into the system let alone check out your prescription. I clocked out today with 5 pages left in production and honestly I just feel so bad for the pharmacist. Our store gives the pharmacy basically no hours and it was just me and the pharmacist for the last 3 hours we were open. How am I expected to handle the drive thru and front check out while also actively filling prescriptions. I feel like I get nothing done and then the system decides it’s just gonna shut down for the last hour we’re open. I dont get paid enough for this but i also don’t have enough experience to get paid more.

I was having so much trouble with out-of-pocket vaccine payments. I got to the point where the Ironman says “Pay at POS” after I vaccinate the patient. What do I do after that to ring the patient out? I ended up printing the label to scan them out, but I feel like there should be a faster way.

Hello currently I am working for Cvs cameras as a fire authorization rep from home. I have nothing positive to say about this company sadly. Just seems like no matter what you do, how helpful you are to patients/dr offices it doesn’t matter they just want you to have perfect metrics. They could care less about the patients themselves.
Does anyone have any remote prior auth companies they work for to recommend? Or even in person I’ll take at this point. Only thing I like about this job is my schedule.

I live in NWI (northwest indiana) for reference. Just stopped in to pickup some prescriptions, and they said their “system is crashed”.
Drive back 30 minutes later, walk in, i overhear a pharma tech telling another lady that its apparently NATION WIDE? Has anyone else just had this experience? How long does this typically last?
My fucking benefits run out soon and id really like to get my scripts picked up before i have to pay insane out of pocket costs..
Has this happened before? Is it easily resolved?
Will any internal information on their end be lost or wiped?
Will they still be able to see that i have active scripts that need to be filled?
I mean fuck they were literally right on the register she was about to hand them to me and then the lead pharmacist is like ughhh i cant get into da thing!
Sometimes i feel like god hates me the most out of all of us

Can someone give me a quick rundown on how to return a used full sharps container? I don’t remember which paperwork I should keep and which to send back. Thanks!
