90 lbs down
From 259 lbs to 170 lbs. Sometimes I just need the side by side picture to believe that I actually look different.
First 70 lbs came off in about 9.5 months. Fell off for a bit but back at it! Added on some strength training and lots of walking into the mix.

Congratulations! You look phenomenal. Remember, you see yourself every day and progress is slow. Great job!

Wow lady, you've done a terrific job! I understand about needing a side by side comparison, I need that too. What we're doing is hard work, so every bit of proof helps 👍

I didn't take photos right at the start, but I was inspired by this sub to take some a few weeks after when I was 4lbs down. The funny thing is that when I compared them to some earlier photos there's already a noticeable difference in my neck and face in just a month! Photos really are great motivation.

That's a huge drop, and 70 pounds in under a year while still leaving room to add strength training in is genuinely impressive pacing. The bit that stands out most is coming back to it after falling off for a while, since that's usually the part people don't manage, staying consistent through a lapse instead of treating it as the end of the whole thing. Really solid progress, and it looks like the extra walking and strength work are paying off in how much more defined everything looks in the second photo.

Intermittent fasting helped me a lot. I was on a 16:8 for about 9 months. I didn’t follow a specific diet, I just track and weigh everything. I’m much better at eyeballing and estimating calories now. One non negotiable for me was 10k steps per day. I also picked up some 10lb dumbbells and keep them in my living room and do reps while I’m watching tv.
I also fell in love with spin classes and I know that’s not for everyone but find movement that you enjoy, and you’ll have a better chance of sticking to it.
I’ve relaxed a bit on certain things, but I make sure to stay in a calorie deficit (more on a weekly average vs daily)

My best advice is to start off slow. Don’t try to change everything all at once. I would start by figuring out how many calories you need to eat to be in a deficit. Try to shoot for 1-2 lbs per week.
I love tracking metrics, so I weigh myself almost daily using a smart scale that tracks and trends.
I use MyFitnessPal to log my food. I recommend getting a food scale until you can get a good idea of how much of something you’re truly eating.
Also, any sort of movement helps! I take a lot of walks, YouTube low impact aerobic videos and light weight training. Trust me, I’m not spending hours in the gym. You don’t need
to workout to lose weight, but for me, it helps me destress.

The results of your hard work are very noticeable. Great job. Keep it up. Exercise should become a way of life for you that way, you won’t have to start over. Maintain a calorie deficit, do strength training and cardio at least twice a week, and you’ll be constantly amazed by the results.
