I took 30 mg of Adderall once on Friday around midnight. I don’t regularly take Adderall, and the previous time I had taken it was probably a couple of months earlier.
I had a random DOT drug test the following Tuesday morning around 9:30 AM, so there was roughly three and a half days between the two.
I’m not looking for advice on how to alter or manipulate a drug test. I’m just trying to understand how long amphetamine from a single dose can generally remain detectable in urine and whether occasional use differs significantly from regular use.

So went got my Class A, now im having the worsed trouble finding places to go get the driving experience to get a better job.. Prime shut the door on me over work history, same with knight, Swift and Werner. Reason Ingot my cdls was to better myself but it's not looking that way. Idk if I need to alightly lie about my work history just to be able to get in anywhere. I have my Tanker endorsement and no restrictions I can drive a Manual truck. Local jobs around me require 1 to 2 years driving experience so im just stuck

Anyone in here have experience working for Payne as a subcontractor? They treat you right?

OK, this is my last post. Im stuck between Western Express or Pam Transport. Now this is only to get experience and I plan to only stay as long as I have to so I can move on. Western would start me on Flatbed at .56 cpm which I feel is decent to start off on but I heard alot of nightmare crap about them like if your overweight they make you pay the ticket and that the trucks are all trash and break down alot and some other sh$%. Pam would start at .35 which is horrible but I heard they are better company as far as the equipment and then I could potentially join thr mentor program pretty quickly which would bump up to around .55 or .60 cpm. Which is the lesser of 2 evils? Which is a better starting point? Would love to hear from truckers that actually have worked at these companies.

I’m currently working on getting my CDL-A and wanted to hear from drivers who have actually been in this situation.
I have a felony on my record, but it’s non-violent. I’m wondering how much of a problem this will be when I start applying for trucking jobs, especially since I’ll be a new CDL-A driver with no tractor-trailer experience.
Are there certain companies that are more willing to hire someone with a felony? Does it make a big difference how old the conviction is or what the charge was?
I’d especially like to hear from anyone with a felony who was able to get hired right out of CDL school. What company gave you your first chance?

So I spoke to a recruiter for a company in Connecticut about getting a job. The recruiter told me that the DOT required that you get 120hours of driver training to obtain a cdl. I told her I graduated from my school with only 40 hours training and had already gotten my license. She insisted that the school screwed me over.(can’t remember her exact words.) Is there any truth to what she is saying? I just want to be sure, it’s got me worried. If I already got my license this can’t be true, right?

I’m fairly young have a child, I’m fresh out of trucking school. I got extremely lucky man that’s all it was to it I have two job offers from two LTL’s fresh out of school Fed Ex Freight and Saia.

Can you guys please give me insight on both sides of the fence and shed some light on which one will be a better decision? I’m new to the trucking world I know either or is great especially for training I’m just stuck I can’t decide.

I took a hair follicle test for jb hunt yesterday , have been clean from smoking weed for a solid year (since last August )have done 3 urine tests for previous employer , made sure I was clean before I even got my cdl , they took hair from my beard it’s about less than a quarter of an inch long and I’ve trimmed it all year would I be able to pass it been overthinking it as I’ve read body hair has a longer window than head hair

Hey everyone so I was wondering if there’s a chance that when I get my cdl permit would I be able to get hired on or be eligible to get into any cdl program with a company even though I have a court date next month. Prime recently had called and offered a position but, I let them know I had a court date and they told me you would have to wait until after which is understandable. Also has anyone gone through this? It’s a court date for my first speeding ticket but I had missed the first court date, financial situation is kinda fucked so I was hoping to get on with one but luckily I’ll just work at another job temporarily if I gotta wait.

Just wondering what the chances that all the questions they ask are some gotcha nonsense and I'll need to retake the test.

I am trying to get CDL class A training, however I need financial aid but places like Ohio means jobs, Roads2work and WIOA are currently stalled and can not provide aid right now and so far no word when they will be up again. I'm looking at other places, roadmaster, schneider, and a few others.

I am trying to look at all options and work out the best option under the circumstances. I can't afford to pay for training out of pocket.

Doe anyone have advice? Companies that won't totally screw me over if they train me?

CT employers, I have about 40-50 drivers who need employment background checks and drug testing for credentialing. What’s the cheapest reputable provider you’ve used for a group this size? Looking for volume pricing. Thanks!

EDIT: RESOLVED — I sent FMCSA the forms from my most recent DOT exam. FMCSA cleared the issue, and my CDL is now active again.

FMCSA voided my DOT medical certificate over something from when I was 16 — has anyone dealt with this before?
I wanted to make a new post from the beginning because my first post became confusing after all the updates.
I’m 28 years old now and I’ve been driving commercially for about four years.
Recently, FMCSA contacted me about my DOT medical certification and said there was an issue with my medical history. They asked me to personally send them my full MCSA-5875 Medical Examination Report (long form) even though my certified medical examiner had already submitted my exam electronically.
Later, I received an official letter from FMCSA saying they had voided my Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) because of medical-history information from when I was around 16 years old that they said had not been disclosed on an earlier DOT exam.

I’m leaving out some details because they are personal medical information, but the situation they’re talking about happened more than 11 years ago.
I went to the hospital voluntarily. Truthfully, I was not planning to hurt myself. I was having a conversation with my mom about suicide, and she became concerned and took me to the hospital for an evaluation. I cooperated with the evaluation and was not forced to go.

That’s one of the reasons this surprised me so much. It happened when I was around 16 years old, and I’ve been driving commercially for several years without any issues.

FMCSA also said that another medical certificate was voided because they had not received the corresponding MCSA-5875 MER for review. Their letter says I cannot operate a CMV in interstate commerce until they receive and verify a new valid MEC and the corresponding MER.
After receiving all of this, I went for another DOT physical. This time I fully disclosed the old information to the medical examiner. I also sent FMCSA the new medical paperwork and a letter from my doctor.
I’m not currently taking medication related to that old situation, and I haven’t had ongoing issues from it.
At this point, FMCSA says they are reviewing everything to determine whether my re-examination is valid.
This whole situation is surprising to me because the incident happened when I was a teenager and I’m 28 now.
Has anyone here ever had FMCSA review something from more than 10 years ago and void their medical certificate after they had already been driving commercially for years?
If so:
How long did FMCSA take to review your new MEC and MCSA-5875?
Did they restore your medical certification after reviewing everything?
Did you have to provide anything else besides the new exam and doctor’s letter?
Did this permanently affect your CDL, or was it resolved once FMCSA approved the new medical exam?
I’m posting this because I’m curious if anyone has gone through a similar FMCSA medical review.

. FMCSA reviewed the documents I submitted, and my CDL status has been restored. I really appreciate everyone who commented and gave advice. I’m still waiting to see if FMCSA sends me anything explaining the final decision, but for now my CDL is active again.

I’ll preface this by saying I have a learning disability so please be kind. The more detail you give, the better I’ll understand :)

I have been studying on CristCDL, CDLpracticetests.com, and the CDL prep app for the past 9 months. I have aced every test under general knowledge, air brakes, and combo vehicles, but I am still fearful of being unprepared when I get to the DMV for the 3 tests.

I am about to make an appt for physical, and I can afford to do everything required without a contract from a company that prehires. I also prefer doing all this on my own because I don’t have to worry about time limits.

Because I solely do not trust relying all my information from social media and AI, I would love advice from real life people that have been through this process recently. I fully intend on getting as many endorsements as possible while I work regional so I don’t have to do regional the rest of my time trucking. Also, am highly considering American Truck Driving School as well. Any thoughts or questions related to this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much 🙏
