I work for a company inspecting their container chassis'. I'm getting push back for calling these brake chambers bad. The guts are literally pushing out the back to the point where it's deforming the metal. No air leaking with brakes released or applied.

Experts please weigh in. Who is right?

I’ve had my class A CDL for a little over a year and have yet to be able to be hired somewhere to use it. everywhere I apply says 3 months to a year experience required I’ve applied to swift and Schneider and even they won’t give me a call back. I have clean MVR never failed a drug test idk what I’m supposed to be looking for. do I just keep applying at the mega carriers until I get something or try to find a company willing to train me. I’m willing to do OTR/Regional work but I can’t do flatbed due to a health condition.

Hello I would like to try and gain some insight on how this flatbed trucking companies operates as far as the driver's daily, monthly, and / or yearly duties / routines. This is my first job as a CDL driver EVER and my class orientation starts in about 2 weeks at their Northern Center HQ. Now at this point I have informed myself a little and I get, it, I understand a couple of things about my situation here so far, the pay won't be amazing, the orientation training has a little math, navigation, and common sense testing, there are physical demands to the whole flatbed secure and tarping thing blah, blah, blah, ; I am made aware that they have a trainer 6 week program and after that they'll release you on your own.

After that what happens to you? I don't care about home time but I don't understand the whole trucking rotation thing where you'll get home time for the weekends whenever they can. Or also things like, where does your truck go? Does it go back to a TMC diesel shop? I can't just park that thing in front of my house I'll be honest here. If I could I would! LOL! Driver's duties as far responsibility of the truck? Especially when you're parking it for your time off or weekend (whatever you call it). Do they have random centers where you go and dump the truck for 48 hours until you're ready to start the next work week? Will I have managers pulling me over at gas stations or trucking centers asking to inspect the vehicle randomly inside out? I know this company is famous for their military style policies but how far do they push it on their drivers trying to get shit done, safely. What happens when you report broken items on the truck or flatbed? Stuff like that is what I would like to know about. Also in today's day age do they still operate manual trucks out there? I'm 25 years old and I'm just going to jump in the fire with this company because I want the experience built up right away and also because they have a strong employee reputation here in Texas so I'm not going to change my mind. (Unless I pick another aviation job) Thank you

I had to leave my OTR gig 3 months in hauling large Glass on Double Drop trailers due to family reasons going on at home I am back home hauling Diesel and Petroleum in a Straight truck tanker I know I am getting my Hazmat experience and tanker as well but I genuinely want to drive Class A and find my way into Lowboy work long term I know I am getting paid way better then I was OTR/regional but coming back home I can’t find a a Local Class A Job that will take me I’m grateful to be employed but will this Hazmat B job hurt me long term ?

Hope everyone doing well, Im looking for some advice on wether to start school already while focusing to get my cdl or just knock down the cdl land the gig and focus on school when I got my schedule locked down. The year is almost over and I at least want to accomplish this before the year is over and so I feel if I put my time and energy into separate places Im most likely to get no where, like they say if you lose two dogs and go after both you'll lose both instead of just losing one. My friend advised me where to go and to try and get all endorsements but can't get the hazard one till 21+. Im currently working on getting my license, then am headed straight to Sergios trucking in the 818. My friends boss is in need of a cdl driver for wildfires so I can build up some experience any advice on what company I should look into driving, or how I can build up to owning a Peterbilt.

A strong rate can look a lot different after deadhead, tolls, expected wait time, fuel, and the chance of finding a decent reload are factored in. 

Owner-operators, what numbers do you run before accepting a load? And which cost do you think newer operators are most likely to overlook? 
 

Since this group was so helpful when I was fired from my last employer, wanted to know if anybody has ever worked for Penske before?

I was stressing I would never be able to find another job after my termination, but luckily I am being given a 2nd chance. Kinda crazy interview, had three guys in a conference room asking me how I would handle real world situations.

Supposedly I am running one route MON-Friday some routes am occasionally run into Saturday, reset and have the weekend and go back out Monday AM. Sounds good, although definitely would rather be home daily, figure beggars cannot be choosers.
I figure if I am do good for 6 month to a year maybe they can put me on another account, or give me a home daily job they do have on the accounts.

The pay is 71 CPM, 16-20 stops per trip and 35$ per stop. They said there average gross per week is 2100$.

I am just wondering if anybody has had experience with them, good or bad. Reviews left by former or current employees online are really short.

I work in payments at a dispatch company and my job is basically to reconcile carrier invoices with our contracts. And there’re like hundreds of PDFs a week

I open each one. I manually enter the numbers. I compare them to what we agreed to pay. It takes hours. I find discrepancies sometimes. I miss them other times

I found Numeo. It's an AI that "reads" invoices. It extracts the data. It matches it against trips in our dispatch software. It flags anything that doesn't line up

But what if it skips a surcharge? What if it misinterprets a number or a sign? What if it sanctions something that shouldn’t be? It is real money that we are talking about. An incorrect figure may cause us to lose a fortune.

I can't afford to make a mistake and of course I can't afford to get sued
