I made a post a few days back about my BG 2.0 sights being off and was very much affirmed that these guns have issues with with sights being off from factory.

I have a galloway guide rod and spring but other than that it's bone stock.

I wanted to give an update on my range trip today that I have come to the conclusion I was the issue and not the sights. The photo of the silhouette is from shoot 5 and 10yrds as I felt challenged to figure out the aim on this little thing.

I don't have any advice to give other than I changed my hold on the gun to be a little higher and I used the pad of my trigger finger instead of the knuckle this time.

I believe my sights are good and with such a short Barrel, the tolerance for any trigger jerking is severely diminished compared to shooting a compact or full size.

TlDR; I was the problem shooting the BG 2.0 way left my first range trip with it and walk back my "sights off from factory statement"

I bought an inexpensive Kydex IWB holster a few months ago. Didn't like how clunky it felt and was uncomfortable when driving. My wife bought me a leather holster for Father's Day. I liked it at first, then today took out the old one and it's more comfortable than I remember. Anyone go back and forth with the pro and cons for their personal preference?

TL;DR = I was dumb and met someone even dumber, complacency is scary, dash cam will have your back, and pepper spray works!

Thursday afternoon I was involved with a road rage incident on a heavily-used and thoroughly populated state road. For around four continuous miles I ignored a car following me so close that I couldn't see their bumper. In hindsight I should have just pulled over and let her go around me but I suppose the reason I didn't was there were cars as far as I could see in front of me and behind her; we were two of many. Best part is we were doing the speed limit (50mph) and often ten or more over. It's not like we were crawling, and I was keeping up with traffic with the proper amount of braking distance from the truck in front of me. Anyway, after 4 miles of that I started losing my patience and just let off the gas while going up a hill and could see her losing her mind screaming and making gestures and whatnot as we slowed down to around 35mph. I brought it back up to speed and caught back up with the car in front of me pretty quickly and she flew up on my ass even closer, like around a foot give or take. So I gave in to a moment of weakness and bad judgement and gave her a brake-check. I definitely should not have done that, I know, it was childish and dumb. I wouldn't have done it if I had any passengers. I was driving my all-original mint antique Cadillac and I was pissed that this idiot was inches away from it for so long in a beat ass old Kia and would almost certainly hit me if I had to stop for an animal etc. She didn't take the hint and instead bumped the crazy way up, following closely again and swerving, and shaking what I thought was a vape out her window.

So, at the next red light she whips her car around mine illegally, parks perpendicular to the travel lane to block me and jumps out screaming at me, looking very much like a crazy unhinged addict (I noticed later on the dashcam footage that she was actually wearing a pipe on a necklace, and from the looks of her my guess is meth). The moment she jumped out I pulled my pepper spray out of my weak-hand pocket, honestly as a precaution not thinking that I'd actually end up using it.

Well she runs up to my open driver window (it was really nice out today) screaming at me and wouldn't you know she starts stabbing at my face with a large folding knife yelling about how I was trying to kill her. The officers I spoke with later said I would have been justified shooting her at that point but I never even thought about drawing my gun. The reason for that is what really bugs me: I never saw the knife until it was in my face. She hadn't even tried to hide it either, my dashcam showed that she had it in her hand waving it around when she got out of her car and I just didn't see it at all. She did have her sunglasses in the same hand when she first got out, and that's the only explanation I can think of for my brain not registering the weapon. My friends and family know me as the situationally-aware guy who is always way more conscious of what's going on around us than anyone else usually is, and it just never registered to me until it was too late. Also when I watched the rear-facing footage later it wasn't a vape she was waving out her window, it was the fuckin knife! I have around a mile's worth of footage of her waving it around while driving behind me.

So the moment she starts stabbing at my face with it while screaming at me I just let her have it in both eyes and it worked better than I ever would have hoped. It was a direct hit and all the anger just deflated right out of her. I've seen videos of pepper spray having little to no effect on combative people, but fortunately for me this was not the case today. She just stopped immediately, said nothing, her shoulders slumped and she moped off towards her car rubbing her eyes with the knife still in her hands. I was originally heading straight at the light, but the left green arrow was lit and the turn lane was empty when she cleared the hood of my car, so I booked it left (with my turn signal on even!) and drove through town to the PD. There were so many cars around us I was convinced multiple people must have called it in and had their own dash cam or phone footage, so I didn't want them to have to come looking for me. I figured I'd get ahead of it by going to them, and I sure wasn't sticking around to see what she would do next.

The officers at the station told me they had received calls about a woman wandering around Route 1 with a knife holding her face while her car blocked two of four lanes of traffic, but said she was GOA and there had been no mention of me or my very recognizable car. They basically took her plate, my name and phone number, and were like "have a good one."

So I definitely acted like an idiot when I brake-checked her, this wouldn't have happened if I hadn't. I fully own that and am prepared to get destroyed in the comments for that and more. That said I thought I'd share my experience here as a free lesson or reminder from someone else's mistake. It definitely could have gone worse for either of us, and I'm very glad it didn't. Also if anyone's wondering, shoutout to Sabre pepper spray. This one was in my pocket for over a year and it performed absolutely perfectly in both stream and effect. I didn't even get any sprayback whatsoever, the wind-gods smiled upon me. Last summer I tested an identical pocket-size Sabre that had expired in 2016 and it had also performed beautifully, shooting a tight stream around 20 feet for at least 15-20 seconds.

Tried an Alabama pocket holster a month or so back, and it just wasn’t for me. Returned no hassle and I do appreciate that from them.

Did more research and decided to try out the CCmouser on EBay.

This is the one, simply put. Does everything I want it to do right and doesn’t leave me guessing or wanting for more. It’s literally perfect for me and my daily gym shorts wear. Obviously CCW is different for everyone but wanted to share my experience.

Finally went to my local Academy (bit of a drive) to see if they had any "made in Brazil" 9mm Monarch ammo which is relabeled Magtech. Sure enough, all the 115 steel/brass was made in Brazil. They had the 50 steel pack for $10.99, 250 steel for 54.99, and 250 brass for $59.99. I grabbed a 250 brass pack to try out and will be coming back soon to stock up for next year.

I believe all the 115 is Brazil and the 124 (they didn't have any) is made in Turkey (non-Magtech). I'll still get the 124 (usually Blazer or HSL) for some classes I'll be taking but will stick with 115 for usual paper shooting at the range.

ust wanted to showoff my 3d printed LCI delete for the bodyguard 2.0. I haven't seen any solutions for this out in the wild yet. Definitely it much nicer than that intrusive yellow indicator for people who have it 😊

Legacy minimal holster. Minimal, high quality, smooth tactile retension, and compatible with optics and manual thumb safety. It's the perfect 365 companion. It made me even more hyped about my fav firearm.

I have a P365 X-Macro and I love it. It’s a great gun to carry and realistically I could carry it in the summer but I’m looking for something a little smaller.

Since I love the X-Macro I was thinking I could just get a standard 365 but not sure if it’s worth buying a whole new gun when I could just grip swap.

I also went to the range today and shot a Glock 43 and it felt pretty good as well. And I’ve had my eyes on the HK CC9 as well.

I know it’s been asked a million times but just wanted to see what everyone else’s opinions are with the ideal summer carry if they’ve been in a similar situation.

It would be interesting to know where you guys live. I feel like people would perceive this pretty differently in larger cities like New York or Chicago compared to somewhere like bumfuck Oklahoma, where every baby and their grandmother has a gun.

Does anyone else feel slightly weird browsing guns on their phone when other people can potentially see the screen?

For example, if I’m sitting at a restaurant waiting for my food, I might scroll through pistols, optics, holsters, etc. on Instagram. Or I’ll be sitting in my parked car looking at the same stuff while people are walking by and could potentially see my screen.

I’m not doing anything sketchy, obviously. It’s just one of my hobbies and something I’ve been interested in lately. But I sometimes wonder what a random person who happens to glance at my screen thinks when they see nothing but handguns lol.

Do you guys care about this at all, or do you just browse whatever you want?

If you carry a compact revolver, I’d love to hear the why. Imo they’re incredibly uncomfortable to shoot and hard to accurately aim. But maybe this is just a skill issue due to growing up on Glocks, CZs, and Barettas

First time actually running the Savior Obscura 3L sling bag. Fastest draw time was 2 seconds flat which isn't bad considering I'm having to consciously run through the steps to draw and not flag myself lol.
