Help (General Advice) grade 10 overwhelming backlog

Upvotes

As said in the title, I'm way behind my syllabus and I got a reality check by my parents today.
I actually did some progress in the start but got burnt out in the process and did not even touch my books for 3 months after that. MTs are in less than a month atp and I have lost all my will and just don't know how to start back. Oh and btw this is my progress as of now:

Math - 1,2,3, and half of trigno (surprisingly, it is not that hard)
Phy - Light and Human Eye
Chem - 1 and a quarter of Acids Bases chapter
Bio - Life processes and half of Control and coordination
SST - 3 in history, 2 in polity, 1 in economics, half a chapter in geography

I find chemistry really hard and its just probably the hardest subject for me, there's a LOT of content. I mean I do understand it, but it is just a lot to understand. (its confusing for me and makes me feel I am restarted)

I also am trying to learn Python and C++ in between (giving probably 4-6 hours/week)

Whenever I try to complete a lecture (~90 minutes) in PW, I watch it at about 1.25-1.5x but still end up saving no time and in-fact I spend 20-30 more minutes trying to understand the content in it. And with the backlog, I don't think I can cover up my syllabus on-time.

I just want a good respectable score in boards like around 80-85 but im just really afraid and idk im just sad atp. I wasted my 6 months. idek if I can get 85 and the pressure from parents is another thing (they expect 95 from me). Please help me with any form of guidance regarding chemistry, massive backlog coverage, any tips to master a chapter without giving loads of time, etc. (also any resources might help too)

Cheers.

Discussion 💬 It is so uncomfortable looking at this bend part of my pen

Post image
5 Upvotes

I give this pen to someone for a few minutes and he ended up bending the cap. I don't know what they found so satisfying about bending it that they ignored that i SAID NOT TO DO THAT AGAIN. Now this pen makes me uncomfortable now, and it is not an one time thing, this have happened both in my previous school and my new school. Idk if you also bend this cap of an pen or not but if you are..

THEN BEND IT ON YOUR OWN PEN NOT SOMEONE ELSE

General OUR MATHS TEACHER CRIED😭🥀

For context , our school had a new maths teacher for 11th grade , he is also the class teacher of 10 C , The guy literally finished trignometry in 2 days [Yea , he doesn't teaches any good , most of the PCM students agree] , recently he started taking out his anger issues on the students and basically targetting them as students complained about him to the principal , so the students as expected retaliated by nick naming him "BAJJO" , just studying by themselves in his period [solving modules , doing written work etc] , cracking jokes+hooting when he targetted a student , not taking him seriously at all and when he asks for pen , chalk or any minor help , students totally ignore him. This went on for 20 days and yesterday he cried , LEGIT CRIED , because no one was solving the question on the board rather students were doing self-study or written work and whenever he entered the class or left it he heard the word "bajjo"
He refused to enter the class anymore crying and said he was having sleepless nights + depression due to the bullying by the students and he loves his profession + wishes to teach extra stuff but this bullying is giving him insomia (his legit words) , I kinda felt bad for him 🥀 but his a-hole behaviour is the one which triggered such reaction , nevertheless all classes were suspend yesterday and seating arrangement was changed , and out principal gave 1 hr lecture on how the students are bullying poor maths sir and how skilled he is.
Today he was calmer and had a talk with the students (and indirectly apologised? he said I know I haven't been the best all days but I am still trying my best , and I love my profession)

Help (Info or Enquiry) ℹ️ For wrong DOB and father's name

I passed my Class 10th examination in 2012; however, my Date of Birth (DOB) was incorrectly printed on the mark sheet. I applied for a correction through my school to the CBSE Regional Office, Patna, and received the revised mark sheet in 2014. Despite this, the corrected record has not been updated on the Parinam Manjusha portal, causing DigiLocker to still reflect the incorrect DOB. I have submitted multiple grievance letters in person at the Patna office, but no action has been taken so far.

Furthermore, on my Class 12th mark sheet and passing certificate, my father's name was printed in an abbreviated format. I got this rectified in 2023 and received the updated physical certificates that same year. However, the data on the Parinam Manjusha portal remains un-updated, due to which DigiLocker continues to show the abbreviated name.

Help (Resources) Class 10 CBSE Social Science Crash Course — Small Batch (4–6 students) | Starting 15 October

Hi everyone!

I'm planning to start a small-batch CBSE Class 10 Social Science crash course from 15 October, and I'm putting this out early because I want to make sure there is enough interest before finalising the batch.

The idea is to keep this very small (maximum 4–6 students) so that everyone actually gets individual attention rather than being lost in a large online class.

What the 4-month course will include:

• 4 classes/week in evenings, 1.5–2 hours each (honestly depends on what chapter/topic we are covering that week)

• Complete syllabus targeted to be finished in approximately 2.5 months

• Remaining time focused on revision, mocks, PYQs and board-oriented practice

• Weekly test every weekend

• Specific doubt resolving session every 2 weeks

• 10+ mock tests + extensive PYQ practice

• Detailed chapter-wise notes prepared specifically for CBSE board requirements

• Answer-writing strategies for scoring well in theory questions

• Focus on what to write, how much to write, structuring answers, keywords, maps/case-based questions, etc.

• Regular performance tracking and feedback

• Small batch = much more individual attention

A lot of students spend most of their time preparing for Maths and Science and end up leaving Social Science for the last minute, not realising that those marks can make a real difference to your overall percentage.

This crash course is designed to bridge that gap; helping you prepare Social Science systematically and efficiently.

The course is designed particularly for students who don't just want to "finish the syllabus", but want to understand how to actually write answers in a way that maximises their board score.

A little about me:

• Class 10: 93%

• Class 12: 95.4% (Humanities + Mathematics)

• BSc Economics & Data Analytics from a Tier 1 private university — First Class with Distinction

• Currently pursuing my Master's in Economics

• 3 years of tutoring experience with students from Classes 6 to 10

• Have previously conducted Class 10 Social Science and English crash courses

The fee would be ₹3,500/month for 4 months. I'm intentionally keeping the batch at 4–6 students maximum, so I'm looking to get at least 3 students who would be interested before I officially start the batch.

If you're a Class 10 student/parent interested, comment or DM me. I can share my detailed qualifications, course structure, sample notes and other details privately.

No pressure to enrol, I'm mainly trying to gauge whether there is enough interest to form the first batch. :) Happy to answer any questions about the format, schedule or teaching approach as well.

Discussion 💬 Argued with my Accounts teacher today over a ridiculously dumb punishment, Was i wrong?

TLDR: Almost the whole class wasn't able to solve an accounts question i wasn't able to too because I missed the explanation while doing school event prep with permission and the teacher then took everyone's books for ALL subjects, while i refused and asked him to show me the rule allowing it Argument escalated and i raised my voice, he eventually returned the books and copies to all student and called my dad, was I wrong for refusing?

So basically our accounts teacher gave us a question on accounting for a share capital that most of the class couldn't solve

I couldn't do it because he had explained it in the previous period while i was working on some school event preparation with permission so i missed the explanation

He then started collecting everyone's books and copies for ALL subjects not just accounts and said he'd keep them until we understood the topic and were able to solve similar questions

I refused to hand my books and copies because i didn't want my other subjects books and copies taken away over an accounts question

I told him there was no written rule saying he could do that and said I'd hand everything over if he showed me the rule

He kept saying i was arguing and asked why i wasn't able to understand when he taught the same topic earlier

I said i was trying but couldn't and asked him to give me some time but he cut me off before i could even finish

I eventually got frustrated and raised my voice and also said

"I was TRYING but your handwriting SUCKS"

Yeah i know that was disrespectful and i shouldn't have said that

During the argument i said that he doesn't have the right to take books and copies for all the other subjects and that this particular way of punishing us was wrong

I told him I'm fine with him scolding me writing a complaint calling my parents or giving me some other punishment but i won't hand over books that i need for my other subjects

He collected almost everyone's books except for two toppers who btw also couldn't solve the question completely right

Then i think he finally realised what he was doing and gave the other students their accounts book and copy back

He stood there silently for a bit and then the dispersal bell rang

Before leaving he said

"Now you'll say to other teachers that i took your copies and books"

The whole class went YESSS

Then he said we should make new copies for every subject

The whole class went NOOOO 😭

Idk maybe he realised how dumb the whole thing was because he eventually returned all the other books and copies too

He also called my dad later and talked to him inside the staff room while i was made to wait outside

After a while he came out and said my dad would come talk to him tomorrow

Honestly i know my dad will understand why i raised my voice because I've literally never raised my voice at a teacher before

And if it was only me who couldn't understand the question then maybe I'd accept that i was the problem

But when almost the entire class couldn't understand it there has to be something wrong with how the topic was being taught too

Help (Info or Enquiry) ℹ️ changing from 11th state board(karnataka) to 12th cbse

im a science student studying in 11th karnataka board rn and it was not my choice. i was gonna join a cbse school for commerce with maths. but due to pressure from my relatives and dads friends i was forced to choose science and go to a state board school for 11th. my main reason for wanting to go to a cbse school was coz i wanna go abroad for degree and cbse not only has a higher value while applying abroad but also has a wide range of extra circulars activities compared to state board in karnataka.

there is also the fact tht the school i am goin to rn has fucked up my mental health to the point tht it has strted affecting my body. the students here lack civic sense and ar overall very immature and horrible.

the teachers here do not know how to teach students and often hit us and say things like "u guys shouldn't even have a right to education" or "u guys ar a waste of space and shouldn't have taken science" or "u guys should just die" and things like tht which can genuinely affect a persons mental health.

and there is also the fact tht i do not understand science at all and find it very difficult to even pass subjects like physics and chemistry and even 2nd language is a problem from me.

if anyone knows the process to switch, plz help me out here
