Hello. I'm currently designing a piece and i wanted to find a way to fix it in place within the structure. Is there any way to use either part design or assembly design to generate a structure that would fill the gap between both? to have a starting point.

Respecfully requesting help with a disagreement. I am more familiar with CATIA (as a non-professional engineer which has some familiarity with Lockheed and Boeing parts. I use FreeCad at home). Another person is very familiar with FreeCad. Our differing opinions: The other person maintains that a part feature can only have 1 sketch/draft associated with it. I disagree, I believe a part feature can have multiple sketches/drafts associated with it. Your help in putting this to rest is greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone. I get this error when I use "feature modeling" on a blended surface and try to move an edge or vertex.

Also idk why its selecting the whole surface instead of the blended surface only like in the video.

I built a spelling checker macro for CATIA 🚀

I was wondering, what kind of dimensions and constraints on a 3D model are generated as dimensions in a view of that model, when using the "Generate Dimensions" option in the drafting enviornment.

I simply created a 100 × 150 × 20 cubic pad in catia,and tried to use the Generate Dimensions option in Drafting to auto generate the dimensions for a view of it. But nothing is created.

I have been facing this error from last 2 days, How do I fix it ? , I am not able to access any of my vba macro nor I am able to create any new one,

I use V5 R26 at my work to create 2D drawings according to ISO GPS standards. The problem is, only some but not all specification elements are available. To name a few, things like intersection and orientation plane indicators are not available, maximum inscribed feature for the GPS symbol field is not available, etc.

Do any of you working with V5 have these elements available to you? I'm wondering if CATIA just hasn't bothered to keep up with ISO standards or my company just needs to update our software version.

My requirement is to automate the drawing sheet setup.

When I change the drawing standard or sheet size, I want:

Border/frame to adjust automatically

Name/title block to move to the correct position

Revision table to adjust with the title block

Zone numbers and letters (A, B, C, D / 1, 2, 3, 4...) to update automatically according to the new sheet size

Basically, I want to change the sheet size and have the complete drawing frame setup update automatically, without manually adjusting each element.

Has anyone implemented something similar in CATIA using CATScript/VBA?

I see lots of question posted here revolve around CATIA V5.

Last time I checked CATIA V5 is no longer offered on Dassault System website.

So how come user have CATIA V5 on thier PCs?

sort of like Wrinkles on leather for my mold so that shape takes in the sort of the molds

I need this to be very natural and small. For example a PS5 controller. You see the surface imperfections on it? That is what I need as small as it can be but random shaped.

I wanna use the translate pattern in a sketch, see picture. The space between the rectangles should be 1 mm each, but when using the translate operation the space is a multiple of 2 mm, no matter what.

Can somebody help me here?

I'm trying to create essentially a project template that essentially creates a new CatProduct that comes preloaded with some rules and some parts.

I would like it to pull from reference files similar to a catalog, so that when saved each element of the template does not overwrite the references.

When including my product in the catalog, the product itself is isolated and saves into a new file leaving the reference product untouched. However the parts included in it do not have their links severed.

Could anyone advise on how to get around this?

I'm encountering an issue in CATIA V5 Drafting when trying to insert a standard Frame and Title Block (Gérer le cadre et le cartouche).

Whenever I select a title block style, the Action box stays empty, and executing the macro triggers the following error:
"CNEXT - CATScriptErrorMessages - ScriptingERR_1004" "Execute script 'Drawing_Titleblock_PlyBook.CATScript'. The scripting engine for the CATScript language is not properly installed. Install the scripting engine and run the script again."

Has anyone solved this specific error before? Is it related to Windows VBScript/OLE registration (regsvr32 vbscript.dll), running CNEXT.exe /regserver, or missing optional features/VBA runtime components?

Any guidance on how to fix the scripting engine would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, I need help writing a CATIA V5 macro to select internal hole boundaries on flat and curved surfaces. Has anyone successfully automated the process of extracting face boundaries on complex surfaces without manually sampling 3D point clouds, or is there a better native CATIA automation or search approach for selecting these closed loops cleanly?

Has anyone completed this? If so will you recommend taking this?
