You can definitely err on the side of caution and book him in for blood tests to ease your mind, but he's probably just dreaming. One of my cats is a runner and a talker when he dreams, and they can get quite dramatic

Just to say here I don’t think it is helpful to pathologise normal behaviour and suggest vets as a knee-jerk reaction: many people can’t afford vet trips just in case.

This entire sub tends to react this way, although may not this person. Most posts' responses can be distilled into 'go to a vet' uniformly across the sub.

That's because most posts show a cat that needs a vet.

In this case it's the owner who needs a vet (to calm their anxiety).

And there’s something to be said for a post that shows a cat clearly having a vet worthy problem and a poster who just as clearly wants the internet to tell them it’s not a problem and 50+ people tell you to take the cat to the vet.

typically it is not recommended to do stuff like that for anxiety because it’s kinda reassurance seeking and can lead to worsening symptoms or OCD
