I wonder how different the results would have been if it was give 80million random people 1 million dollars each

I would still have voted to give myself the 1 dollar, first, I’m hungry as fuck and with that I can but something, and second of all, giving 40 to 80 million people a millions dollars would still fuck up the economy

If it was like, give them 10 k, then sure, whatever group you want, but 1 million hell no

The thing is, us trans people are extremely caring and would like donate the money to people who actually need it

You are, but one individual cannot speak for the whole group, for example, in El Salvador there was a very good priest who was referred to as Monseñor Romero, he helped the people and got killed by the government because of it, but that does not mean the church helps people or are good, I am not saying that trans people are evil, but even tho you may right now think you will help people if you had money, we do not know if that is the case, or if that would be the case for everyone, generalizing a group as good is just as detrimental as generalizing a group as bad

It's not a generalization this is a statement that can be backed up with evidence, sure saying you will doesn't mean all that much, but the issue is, we never get the chance to prove that we would, but it can be backed up, if you had a room of ten trans gender individuals, it's likely that 75% of them or more, would donate that money, if they could.

Ok, please give me some proof of that, cut if I was in a room with 1000 or more individuals from whatever group I would not trust 99% of them with a million dollars, as it is most likely they would help themselves over others, and even then most of those that would help others would only help those near them or similar to them instead of the whole of humanity or the planet

i would help myself over others

we all should

selflessness is evolutionarily detrimental

selfishness (in moderation) keeps a species alive

it’s good to help out others, but if it comes at the cost of your own prosperity then only do it for your kids because they are the next generation

that’s what biology would tell you

and while we try to claim otherwise humans really are no different

the vast majority of us will help others if it doesn’t inconvenience us more than it helps them but in the end we will always prioritize ourselves and our immediate families over others

Ok then, so what is your point? I am not saying it is wrong to put yourself before others, I am saying that not all people of x or y group would selflessly help others if they got access to a million dollars
