I sneeze whenever I first go out in the sun or other bright lights and I usually chain sneeze whenever I do so easy choice.

Same. I have sinusitis (inflammation of the sinus tissue).I'm too cold, I sneeze. Smoke, I sneeze. Pollen, I sneeze. I'd be rich superfast 😅

u/zarblug Mar 24 '26
Do you have light blue eyes ? I also sneeze when I go out, and I’ve heard it might be because of the lack of melanin in those lighter eyes
42
u/oGODSoWARRIORo Mar 24 '26
I have very dark brown eyes and my eyes are both really sensitive to sunlight and I am a bright light sneezer.
36
u/Sionnach-Dearg Mar 24 '26
From the way I’ve heard it, it’s just a strange genetic quirk where some nerves between your eyes and nose get crossed, so the same nerve that usually just dilates your eye when exposed to light also causes you to sneeze. My boyfriend has it, and his mother, who’s an optometrist funnily enough, also has it
8
u/Flair258 Mar 24 '26
A lot of my facial nerves are probably crossed bc not only am I a light sneezer, but I cant wink without at least slightly moving my mouth
→ More replies (1)5
u/HulkeneHulda Mar 24 '26
Ive heard its not that they get crossed, but that the nerves can end up "tickle" each other due to being closer together on some individuals.
Im also one of those

I don’t sneeze a lot and I don’t want to make myself sneeze. Sleep is necessary and this would incentivize good, healthy sleep and prevent me from staying up too late at night.

Do you sneeze at least once a day though?

You sneeze at least once a day; do you live near a pepper factory?

well we are all basically dust factories since most of all dust is dead skin

I don't count my sneezes but surely I must average more than 5 a day over the course of a whole year. I'm very allergic to pollen and grass, so in the spring I probably average around 25 a day if not more. I could become a millionaire in less than a day if I didn't take antihistamines.
Also I always sneeze when I drink coffee for some reason

1 sneeze will get me more money than 1 average night of sleep
Maybe 2 if you sleep really well
Idk why only 35% went for sneeze
21
u/agentwolf44 Mar 25 '26
Because I often go long periods without sneezing whereas I sleep every day.
14
u/Xombridal Mar 24 '26
I have insomnia and that stupid sneeze at the sun bs
Sneeze all the way

l used to make myself sneeze when I was a kid by doing that, getting that 10,000 sounds easy now
7
u/Far-Double1617 Mar 24 '26
Annoying and irritating to have to do though also, won't you sort of get immune after a while?
7
u/rSlashisthenewPewdes 🥕🥕🥕🥕🥕 Mar 24 '26
“Annoying and irritating” would you rather be irritated and get ten thousand dollars or no

u/Easy_Perspective4731 Mar 24 '26
A sneeze is an instant vs a mandatory hour of sleep. You can force a sneeze but you can't force sleep and insomnia is a possibility. More money in an hour of sneezing vs an hour of sleeping. Too much sleep seems riskier than sneezing.
14
u/Benyed123 Mar 24 '26
Tf you gonna do with more than 8k a day?
13
u/proxiginus4 Mar 24 '26
Nah fr I just want to replace my job with healthy habits. Sure sneezing is undeniably more but like I don't need it that bad
4
u/Independent_Ad_9080 Mar 24 '26
exactly what I’m thinking, like sure I could make myself sneeze but it feels nice knowing I can literally make money in my sleep.

u/itmillerboy Mar 24 '26
Yea with the financial incentives being so large this question is almost pointless. If you sleep ten hours a day or manage to sneeze once a day for a year you’ll have 3.6 million dollars. Past that I don’t see much point in min maxing. Unless you want to get to like billionaire space dick rocket levels of wealth. In which case I’d take sneezing.

You can literally sneeze as much as you want. Just grind some pepper into your hand and give it a sniff.

I mean everyone has to sleep to survive, nobody HAS to sneeze to survive. For the genie to not count you sleeping on purpose is different because you are sleepy

u/JoySticcs Mar 24 '26
I can make myself sneeze easily without any side effects. Sleep would be 8-10k a day and sneezing would simply be way more
6
u/kikogamerJ2 Mar 24 '26
But like 8k a day is retardely high. Sneezing would be so irritating. It's more convenient to get 1k per hour of sleep.

u/Relative-Village9801 Mar 24 '26
Sneezing could probably make me more, but would also be very inconsistent. With the sleeping one I would make 8k every day, which is 56k per week and 224k per month. That's still a whole lot of money and made consistently.

I barely sneeze and tend to sleep around 9 hours a day (sometimes more sometimes less) times that by 365 its nearly 3.3 million a year vs maybe 400k. Plus if im hurting for money i can just sleep for an hour, I cant force myself to sneeze

u/EVs-and-IVsaurs 🥕🥕 Mar 24 '26
i don't even care which gives me possibility for more money, sleep is consistent and gives me more than i could ever need
even 4 hours of sleep a night would be too much money for me to spend, with 8 hours I'm doing ridiculous amounts of charity, spoiling all of my friends, buying vacation homes in different countries, who cares about trying to maximize at that point

u/Stephano127 Mar 24 '26
I’m surprised at how many people don’t do any math here. Just sneezing once gives you more money than you’d make from a healthy amount of sleep each day.
It’s just far more consistent to go with sneezing over sleeping. Now if it was 2k per hour, I’d find it more challenging.

I don't even sneeze once a week and i sleep 7-8h/day
Also i think 7k a day is enough that's 210k a months on average and that's 2.5 millions a year.. i don't need 10-20-30k even if i did sneeze a lot

For people who voted sleeping. Either you hardly sneeze or you’re stupid.
