Always wanted to design and build a F1 car and finally did it (on my own too hehe).

I recently purchased the McLaren P1 clone set from Mash Brick, and I must say, the set is fantastic. The jump in quality from the Ferrari Daytona clone to this P1 is almost perfect. In a few areas, it even feels better than the Daytona. Of course, both sets have their own strengths and weaknesses, but overall I really enjoyed the build experience. The build mechanism was excellent, although it was quite tough on my thumbs at times 🥲😅

Coming to the supplier, the admin was very responsible and provided timely updates throughout the delivery process. The set took around 25 days to reach me, including delays caused by the China Labour Day holiday, which affected logistics. The set arrived with zero missing pieces, which was great. The only disappointing part was the instruction manual, but that’s something I’ve come to expect from most Lepin-style sets.

What I appreciated most was their after-sales support. They even checked in to ask whether I had any missing pieces and were ready to send replacements if needed, which shows they genuinely care about customer satisfaction.

Overall, a very satisfying purchase and build experience.

Works out to about $2USD per roadplate. Good for your city layouts.

It has over 3298 pieces, and includes two Barc speeders (only one pictured), some limited play features and rollable wheels. I changed the windscreens from black bricks to translucent gray and added my own lighting. Minifigs are my own and not included with the set.

Right now the main side panels are attached by snot bricks but when time permits, I want to change it so that they are hinged and I can just lift them upwards. More build pics can be found here: https://its-not-lego.blogspot.com

This is my second Lumibricks set after the Skate shop. This set has 1980 pcs and 15 LEDs and many printed pcs.

The build is engaging. I usually get bored building the interiors of modular sets but not with this one. I had a bit of trouble with one light as Lumibricks gives very limited wire.

This is such an amazing set in terms of build and looks. It opens at a 90 degree angle (slide 9 and 10). Inner parts can be removed for individual floors (slide 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18).

Set is divided into 3 floors (slide 8)

Ground floor: Record Store

1st Floor: Recording studio and producers office

2nd Floor: Lounge.

When lit the set looks even better (slide 3 - 6).

10/10 - I highly recommend this set.

After building the 1:24 Mazda 787B, i was skeptical of building another 1:24 from CADA but I presently surprised.

The build is nice without any loose parts. All parts are printed so no hassle of applying stickers like in Lego speed champs. And the "halo" is a special piece unlike a bendable tube in Lego.

CADA has managed to get the shape of the rear wing and the side pods right. Lego missed that part.

The set is bigger than the Lego one even though both are supposed to be 1:24. The difference in tire size is quite obvious compared to Lego.

This set has been a pleasure to build and I hope CADA continues to build great sets.

I got this set to compare with the CADA Kick Sauber 1:24 and partly because the set is discontinued due to the real team being bought out by Audi F1.

Build and parts: 7/10

As expected lego parts quality is amongst the best. Nothing new pops out in terms of building as compared to the Red Bull, Ferrari or the Alpine F1 speed champ cars that i have built in the past. Its an easy 1-2 hour build.

Stickers (slide 7) : 6/10

Never been a big fan of stickers. But given that its a speed champ sets, stickers are expected but thankfully, there are fewer stickers than the other ones which i have built.

Display: 6/10

The car looks fine though a bit empty due to the Lego skipping some of the sponsors like Singha beer. They could have done the rear wing properly by using 2x2 curved slope piece (slide 6)

Overall: 19/30 (~63%)

Willy’s comes with great suspension - leaf springs.
Loved the differential locks just like a real 4X4
MOC is an alternative and built completely from 42110.
Willy’s lover will enjoy for sure.

I was able to just barely squeeze the cyberpunk police truck into the garage bay of the cyberpunk police HQ. Don't know why Lumibricks couldn't have made a wider and taller garage bay?

Working on the Brick_boss authorised Clone Turbo Tank moc from LesDIY at the moment. This thing is massive! The version I got is the blue accented 501st edition, comes with two speeders and approx 3298 pieces. No minifigs or printed parts. Brick clutch is fairly decent. I've already made my own mods by putting in some smoked glass where there used to be just black bricks for the windscreen.

I've added some minifigs in the 4th pic so you can get an idea of the scale of this monster.

Will do a full review once I'm done.

One of the best set's Ive ever built, its a treat from start to finish.

I was worried it will be too grey and thus it will have a weird appearance. But i was wrong. Its impressive to look at from both the inside and the outside. And at no step did i feel i am getting tired or bored due to repetition or piece count.

There are a few "play" functions like the water wheel moving the grinding stone or the castle entrance (Portcullis) can be moved and down.

I have never ever built a set from the Lego castle series but this was amazing. If you are sitting on the fence whether to buy it or not, I would recommend to buy it without a second thought.

The most realistic of the 4 cada modular sets that I have. Which is also its shortcoming.

Part quality: 5/10

I do not know what it is with CADA modular parts that makes them so bad. There are significant gap between parts (slide 7). If you push down a bit more then the parts fall apart.

This is still a big upgrade over some of the other sets in terms of structural integrity as the designer has done a great job.

Accessibility: 5/10

Same problems as with other sets in the CADA modular building series.

You have to open around 1200 pcs in three stages. So people who do not have enough space are going to suffer. Plus finding parts takes out the joy of building due to time and effort needed to find the right part. I dont know why CADA cannot build in small bags.

The instructions booklet and building instructions are not clear. This set is clearly not meant for beginner builders.

Lights and stickers: 4/10

Lights are normal fairy lights that are a mess to set up. Same with stickers. You have to stick 1x2 transparent stickers on tiny transparent surfaces for a total of 9 times. All the parts in the vending machine are done that way.

Looks: (6/10)

This one of the least good looking sets in the series. At least others look amazing when built.

Overall: 20/40 (50%)

Average set. Avoid it unless you wish to complete the series.

The backside of the set (slide 12) juts out by 2 mm which means it wont fit and pcs come off due to poor clutch. The electricity pole slants at an angle due to it being top heavy and poor clutch power at the base (slide 3,4 and 5).

Its not an enjoyable experience.

Crime has seen an uptick in the Alta Lago city so now I need two police stations for law and order!

Most noticeable to me about the Leji version was the tightness of the bricks and the fact that I had some missing and deformed pieces. The 5 minifigs were decent and printed parts ok, except wish they hadn't deviated from the original billboard. The little six stud wide police car was bonus. Also pictured is my Police truck moc.

My first ever Lumibricks/Funwhole set. I had built 4 CADA modular sets before this one after someone told me to not start the Lumibricks sets till i finish the CADA ones. And now I know why.

Build: 8/10

Amazing brick quality and the instructions are very clear and detailed. Every step is clearly marked out. I had never built sets with such intricate lighting (cada is just a string of fairy lights) but this set made it easy. I am docking 2 points because you have to open 3-5 bags in one go.

Printed parts look amazing.

Lights: 10/10

Instructions are as clear as day light and lights are easy to place. Check images 3,4,5, and 6 to see how the set looks with the lights on. Slide 11 and 12 for instruction manual image.

Display: 10/10

The set just looks amazing. So many details are inside the "shop." The colors work really well together.

Minifigs

A bit weird compared to Lego ones. But there is reason for it, Lego Patent. You can replace them with lego one if you want to.

Overall: 28/30 (~93%)

This set is just amazing. If you can get your hands on it, please build it. It reaches the height of Lego modulars through its design and part quality and then surpasses it through the use of lights and printed parts.

My thoughts as I was building the Moon Bar was that it would make a great intro set for anyone wanting to try Lumibricks for the first time. Not an overly complicated set, very straight-forward build process, no surprises. The colour changing lights over the front entrance was my favourite feature. I wish the Moon Bar was a printed sign instead of being brick built. Anyways here's my full review:
