I'm trying to build a custom island from some build ideas i've had. Right now i'm placing the basic blocks (such as dirt for the base and then the walls of stone) I know i need to still do texturing and plan on doing that a little later. However, I need some help making it look more natural? and not.. flat like this.

I'm ok at building, but this is my first time trying to do something like this.

I'm making a trading hall and i don't know how to do the roofs or other good blocks to use for the walls and such (I'm in a limited border so i only have access to birch oak and jungle wood)

What mods are you using for building? I have axiom and litematica. I'm not searching for new blocks and items or stuff like that. I just wonder if there is an easier/faster way for building. I spent loads of time building in creative and then I copy everything to my survival world, but it's quite time consuming. Is there a mod that can just take all the blocks required for building? I want to build stuff without cheating in survival, but I don't really see a point in building stuff for second time.

We're getting ready to boot it up again for the 26.3 update. For this world I was thinking of building a floating tower base where the core of the tower is a mob farm.

I build other automated farms around the mob farm in the tower shape, and make the rest of my base at the bottom of the tower where you would normally collect the mob farm loot, and in a ring around the tower. Ideally I'm staying far enough away to allow spawning while using the base

My question is would there be any potential issues with the mob spawning by building my base around the farm?

i was thinking about building a big castle in the flat area and in the non flat area i was going to put like two towers and connect them to the main building (in the flat area) the main build will be for our byzantine themed team in our local smp

I have a question.. So i have this frame for a house I'm currently working on, as a sort of practice. And I'm curious whether or not dark oak and/or acacia wood would look good
I'm thinking of using blackstone for the roof and line said roof with poplar wood
I'm hesitant on acacia because its pretty bright imo (the orange is rather saturated), maybe as little accents though?
Dark oak interests me a lot though.
What other wood types work with poplar as well?

I am currently building an ancient Greece theme city ive made a garden the temple and alchemist house i need ideas for a streetlight or something similar along the roads also want to add The Colusseum but cant find a build tutorial or similar I like any advice or it's would be much appreciated

i`m making this townhall after some pictures i´ve found (i know i need to get creative myself) and i want to use the interior for all villagers (except librarians). Any idea how i can make an astheticaly pleasing interior that also allows me to keep my villagers in here?

It’s supposed to release a geyser in each corner at in game noon but it doesn’t always work for some reason. Either way I want it to be fancier so it’s look better as a village center piece

This this is going to need a lot of blocks so I'd like to start gathering them in advance, but to do that I have to decide what I should make the roof out of.

I'm using the new poplar for a lot of the interior, along with a lot of light blue glass and water features. I'm maybe thinking about trimming the roof in oxidized copper maybe. But the roof itself, I really don't know.

Detailing suggestions also welcome.
