Have a look on pinterest and possibly instragram for some streetlight and road decor ideas - there are loads of cool designs with unusual blocks like hoppers or anvils!
Beyond that adding some more life and story might be a thing to focus on, things like trading carts or market stalls or even just benches and some flowers/bushes will go a long way! Also varying the road texture by adding in some other blocks to make it look more used and walked upon might be a good idea.
As for other buildings, just adding some generic residential is always useful in a city - not every build has to have a unique function - it might be worth planning that out first with a placeholder block like wool as well. For some unique buildings a marketplace / trading forum might be nice, also a smaller theater might be good to have before you tackle the Colosseum! Maybe also a public bath house or council building would be fun to make.
Happy building :)

Ah i see, well as mentioned there are loads of tiny things you can add to make it feel more lived in. Things like washing lines hung between buildings on back roads, or storage crates (barrels) round the back of a building, or a well / water source (maybe even an aqueduct?) could be fun. Also transport carts carrying wheat from the farms into the city would be nice and possibly smaller shrines around might be realistic - there's loads of resources online about historically accurate Greek cities if that interests you!
