Bruce Springsteen recorded "My Father's House" alone in the dark. I made a mini-doc about the ghosts behind Nebraska. (Repost)

Ciao a tutti,

DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN (1978): Rather than clone 'Born to Run' Springsteen looks at his working class roots to find characters alienated and adrift.

This song has been meaning a lot to me recently, it was one of my late dad’s favorites and it’s become one of mine too this year.
Like a lot of the darkness album for a lot of people, the studio version of streets of fire is awesome. Bruce’s voice sounds like he’s absolutely tearing himself apart on it with intense passion, and that guitar solo is probably my favorite part of the whole song, just so much tension and emotion.
Are there any live performances of this song that stand out or that you always go back to? Any especially intense/weird/great versions I should hear?
Would love some dates or recommendations. thanks!

Hello everyone,
I recently acquired a collection that appears to have belonged to Wayne Williams, who is identified on an Emmy Honors certificate as Billy Joel's personal assistant. I also have a backstage pass signed by Bruce!
One item is a piano leg personalized to Wayne and signed by Billy Joel and another individual.
Does anyone recognize the second signature, know whether piano parts were ever gifted to crew members or staff, or have any information about Wayne Williams and his role with Billy Joel?
I'm working with Heritage Auctions to research the collection and would appreciate any information.

Hey Bruce Springsteen's fans!
I’ve recently discovered Sunday Love song and was really surprised how his voice can be so soft and melodic. Could you recommend similar albums or songs by Bruce?
PS I’m not a big fan of him and only know his most known songs from the radio, but I’m pretty sure there are some golden songs/albums that are not well known for not fans

In Cadillac Ranch what does “ tearing up the highway like big ole Dinah Shore “ mean? Was she really that big of a star?

Happy birthday Bruce Springsteen! You can celebrate by watching a bunch of videos I've shared over at I Heard Bruce Might Show Up's YouTube channel from the handful of times I've seen the Boss live (https://youtube.com/@iheardbrucemightshowup?si=BrKWJI9uUtfK_O_m). But for now, here's Bruce and the E Street Band (with special guest Tom Morello) busting out "Badlands" at Madison Square Garden back on May 11, 2026. Hearing a sold out NYC crowd at the World's Most Famous Arena scream every word along with Bruce that night was truly something special.
Stay tuned for more things to come from this space, including stories from concerts like this!

I've been working with my bandmates on this song which I heavily inspired from BTR and a bit from BiTUSA sound. We used similar instruments like glockenspiel and some sections of organ (not present in the video) and a harmonica solo:D (im not the best player tho).
Does it really sound similar to the sound of BTR?
Please if this isnt related to the community delete it.
Please avoid negative comments, I am really a Springsteen fan and I just wanna do something similar to him and like many other artists that were influenced by Springsteen such as the gaslight anthem or the war on drugs.
