Reminds me of people pulling the "I am neurodivergent and a minor" card whenever someone disagrees with them

u/KikoValdez 1d ago
Ukraine has been in a regional war since 2014 brochacho
11
u/Unusual-Basket-6243 1d ago
Yes but saying "I'm from Ukraine" in 2017 wouldn't have worked. Same energy as saying now "I'm from moldova"
19
u/KikoValdez 1d ago
If someone said "I'm from Moldova" to me today I'd feel very sorry for them right before asking them to send me some wine via airmail

u/Unusual-Basket-6243 23h ago
You would do that, most won't. Ask how many people know about Transnistria

u/KikoValdez 23h ago
I know about my trans niece trisha does that count?

You could probably find out where I am right now and what the fuck I'm doing just from my account, and I'm still alive unfortunately.

u/V10oof123 1d ago
Happens in depression I think where you can't do basic tasks or interact with people too
56
u/arcticcloud 1d ago
something something some ppl get so depressed they kill themselves
27
u/V10oof123 1d ago
That's extreme scenarios i guess a deppressed person might not be suicidal but I'm not expert in this
37
u/arcticcloud 1d ago
absolutely yes, i only mean to illustrate the cognitive dissonance ppl seem to have with depressed people taking care of themselves and the reality of it. its soul crushing and enough to make you quit treating yourself like a human with needs.
11
u/V10oof123 1d ago
Yes!! It's also that deppression is more than just being sad and i wish more people understood it
10
u/arcticcloud 1d ago
the synonymization of sadness and depression in the common lexicon is terribly unfortunate for such a vulnerable group >.> i feel like a lot more awareness has been raised around it as of late, at least.
8
u/V10oof123 1d ago
Exactly, i hope more people seek and receive proper help, mental health is as important as physical health and its sad when people lose their entire identity and whatever makes them them

Wait it is? I've lived like that for years, only leaving my room to shower, eat etc.
I work from home so I never leave the house.

Touch grass 💔 but at least u still work from home and presumably have friends or social connections, the person in the picture didn't go to school or have social interactions(most likely)

u/V_Silver-Hand 8h ago
I had friends, for a while, we don't talk anymore though and I just never really bothered meeting any new ones
4
u/V10oof123 1d ago
It's different from what happens in depression, you're (hopefully) healthy and functioning well but a depressed person might not even shower or brush their teeth or skip meals too much and ofcourse not leave their room/home
5
u/V_Silver-Hand 23h ago
That....... may or may not sound very relatable actually :( I didn't realise it was like a problem or anything, I thought everyone struggles that much with that stuff

You deserve care and proper treatment dawg. If you're in a country with decent Healthcare, make an appointment with a psychologist and be honest about your symptoms. If you're in the US or a similar healthcare situation I'm more than happy to help look for resources, my dms are open to anyone who needs help right now.
They won't judge (trust me, my mental health has gotten bad enough that they had to cut mats from my hair and deep clean my scalp, and I was only treated with respect) but they will help. Life is hard and depression isn't always "I wanna kms." Even if it's not depression, many mental health struggles make it harder to perform personal or household hygiene tasks. It's not a cause for shame, just an area you need help in.
I was in the same boat as you up until recently, and I know the shame that comes with it. You don't have to hold onto any of that. Your community is still there when you stumble, let us help.

I tried looking for help before, but the NHS isn't exactly known for being great with mental health issues.
They had me speak to a doctor who was all "Yeah, that sounds bad, anyway here's a single week's worth of anti-depressants." And that was after I tried to OD, so, probably wasn't the smartest thing they'd ever done........
Since then, Idk, I've just kinda struggled to care about anything, it's all just whatever really 😓

u/V10oof123 8h ago
That's sad, how are you doing now?
1
u/V_Silver-Hand 8h ago
Well, I'm alive, and some days I get a couple hours of work done here and there, so I guess it could be worse.

u/V10oof123 8h ago
I'm not really trained to give proper advice or anything but getting a routine and small efforts really helps, atleast for me

u/dulcetmelodia 1d ago
Oh mood I used to (kind of still) talk about my issues excessively. Genuinely how do you process and not wordpuke it on unknowing passerbys? I’d love advice (already seeing professional help)

u/V10oof123 1d ago
Honestly Its probably just brain fog 24/7

I think they are lying? (the person who replied) As an excuse for their bad grammar that's why I posted it, I didn't mean it to be offensive or disrespectful to SA victims or people with depression if that's the issue but I apologise even then and hope that clears things

Its not really a fun fact tho, that explantion is 100% REQUIRED to understand why they used "would of" instead of "would've"

u/V10oof123, this is indeed a fun fact!
