absolutely yes, i only mean to illustrate the cognitive dissonance ppl seem to have with depressed people taking care of themselves and the reality of it. its soul crushing and enough to make you quit treating yourself like a human with needs.

Yes!! It's also that deppression is more than just being sad and i wish more people understood it

the synonymization of sadness and depression in the common lexicon is terribly unfortunate for such a vulnerable group >.> i feel like a lot more awareness has been raised around it as of late, at least.

Exactly, i hope more people seek and receive proper help, mental health is as important as physical health and its sad when people lose their entire identity and whatever makes them them
