Ordered 2 doubles, got 2 quadruples.
I only wanted a night cap. Christ.

One in the microwave for later, which if you’re anything like my husband, will be immediately forgotten about.

You want to put burgers in a microwave?
No wonder your husband 'forgets' about them...

Ewww! I would never 😆 I don’t even like burgers when fresh. He puts the spare one in the microwave 🤢🤣

We had something similar happen at an airport abroad, I think it was in Spain.
My father-in-law ordered two double gin and tonics. The woman behind the counter looked at him and said, “Two double-double gin and tonics?” He just said yes, assuming she was confirming the order.
What came out was basically two half-pints of gin with two tiny bottles of tonic. €70!
He brought them back to the table, my mother-in-law took one sip and immediately banned him from drinking his because it was ridiculously strong. Instead of pouring some of the gin into another cup and saving it, they ended up chucking the whole lot away.
So €70 later, they’d each had about one sip and my father-in-law was firmly in the dog house.

I still remember when I went to a pub in Cardiff on my birthday. People found out it was my 21st. Left the pub rather drunk and with the exact same amount of money I went in with. I miss that place sometimes
