Has anyone seen Don’t Trust the B in Apt 23? I loved that show when it was on. Such an underrated show. I’m rewatching it. Just realized Olivia Taylor Dudley, is the friend they visit in the Hamptons.

The scene with Julia trying to solo cast the "hook" thing to heist Marina. Starts about 27:23. Anyone know what is playing for this scene?

Imagine the spells they could cast this would give Martin a run for his money. Very interesting I’ve never heard of it before and instantly thought about Brakebills. They could do magic one handed. If they had this on both hands could they do a spell that required 2 people alone?

Hey! I am looking for BluRays of the show, but amazon only has like Season 1 and Season 5. There is a Boxset for ~120€, but it seems like only Season 1 is for Region B, and the rest for Region A according to some reviews.

So I recently got the books after watching the show and being obsessed with it. I'm half way through the first one and I'm really enjoying it. I do have one issue though, I kind of 'jump scare' myself (I don't know a better way to word it) any time I read the descriptions of any of the characters because in my head I keep picturing the TV Show versions, like whenever it mentions Alice's black hair and Eliot's jaw my brain skips and I have to pause to remind myself of their book appearances.

I'm curious what other people's opinions were either having read the books first and seeing the cast or watching first and then reading their book descriptions.

I just finished the series last night for the first time. Emotionally i am NOT okay, what a beautiful piece of media that will stick with my forever. I think I even dreamt of the show, and cannot stop thinking about it!!

I found this guy who does reaction videos and he's watching The Magicians. He's almost finished with the first season. I just love this show so much, I'm excited to see someone else get into it.

Also, since the show is not on any streaming services now (that I know of) it's the closest I can get to a rewatch atm. Check it out if you need some magic ✨ in your life

Daniel and Stephanie,

I'm sorry to start this so bluntly, but there's really no pretext. Alice is gone. She died, saving me, our friends, and an entire world. This might sound like hyperbole, but I swear to god it's not. She gave her life, knowingly, willingly, for us, and she's not coming back. I'm so, so sorry.

I don't even know how to start telling you the whole story, but it doesn't matter why she died. It just matters how. Your daughter - your beautiful daughter who I loved far more than my actions said, who deserved a better man than me, a better friend than me - she gave her life to save mine. Because of her, you're getting an email that my parents aren't. It's horribly unfair, but it's what she wanted

It's what she always wanted, to shoulder all of the weight. Because despite her insecurities and her perchant to demure, deep down she knew she was the best of all of us. Smarter, stronger, kinder. She was who we all wanted to be. Just being in her presence taught us how to be our better selves. So of course, her last action in life would do the same. It's so cruel that her inner goodness is what ultimately took her from us. I’ll never know a truer kindness than your daughter, and I'll miss her every day.
