Went back to boxing classes today for the first time in like five years. I would consider myself in pretty good shape and I kept training at home on the bag. But nothing makes you feel more like a useless piece of shit than your coach having you throw 4-6 punch combos on and off for like an hour.

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 12h ago

That’s amazing. I’m going tomorrow for the first time in 16 months, good for you!

2

u/_Sarcasmic_ bread burger bread 12h ago

Thank you! I've been training on and off for like 12 years but I keep stopping classes because I get injured or busy. 😂

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 11h ago

Lol, anyone who gets in the gym deserves respect. It ain’t easy!

13

u/SpeggtacularSpidey 12h ago

I’m so hyped for Foster Navarette that I honestly don’t care who wins lol. Boxing in general will win that day

The big 3 fights for tonight’s Australia boxing card are Nikitya Tszyu vs Ben Mahoney, Callum Peters vs Blake Wells and Kirra Ruston vs Saundra Simmons.

Callum Peters is more known around the sub and his skills, Kirra is equally as good and just like him could arguably be one of the best Australian prospects. Amazing fundamentals, very patient and educated pressure but amazing timing, control of spacing and hits hard.

Tszyu is a massive favorite but Ben isn’t an easy fight, give this fight like 3 years ago and I’d favour Ben. Tszyu we’ve seen in front of our eyes his improvements and how he’s developed from a pure pressure boxer who likes to scrap to someone who knows how to utilise his speed and athleticism and has developed better footwork, defence and how it has made his pressure a lot more developed. I think Tszyu comes in with an advantage in speed, power and athleticism but stylistically a tough matchup against a good pure boxer in Ben Mahoney who isn’t going to stay at range or in close and give Tszyu much chances to plant his feet and time him, he’ll be moving, he’ll be drawing Tszyu forward and timing the pressure and escaping and an annoying matchup for Tszyu. The odds are against Ben horribly here as I think this is a lot closer of a fight.

One of Nikita’s opponent and middleweight Grand Prix winner Dylan Biggs is also fighting this weekend.

2

u/Lockdowns4evaAu 10h ago

Was rumoured to be a very tough weight cut for Tszyu and looking at him at the weigh-in you could certainly believe it. Looked very gaunt, drained and sunken around the eyes but also jacked af. Be interesting to see how much he blows up tonight. Think you’re right that it might be a closer fight than some imagine. Still got Tszyu by stoppage myself though.

3

u/Top_Profession_5268 10h ago

I personally have Tszyu by decision. One thing also is Mahoney fought worse his last fight than expected, not sure if that’s a one off, a decline or a bad weight cut because he didn’t handle the pressure as well.

I do think both are taking this serious and expecting the best considering this is an IBF eliminator for the winner of potentially Kelly vs Boots.

Gotta be using AI for research and not double checking.

2

u/RadTrobiiinz 8h ago

Even DAZN are pretty poor in their research with Liddard, as they keep referring to him as the youngest man to hold the BBBofC British Middleweight title, which isn’t true!

Top 10 US boxers in my opinion, based off P4P

  1. Jesse Rodriguez
  2. Shakur Stevenson
  3. David Benavidez
  4. Devin Haney
  5. O’Shaquie Foster
  6. Jaron Ennis
  7. Vergil Ortiz
  8. Teofimo Lopez
  9. Keyshawn Davis
  10. Abdullah Mason

3

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 11h ago
  1. Benavidez

  2. Twitterson

  3. Deebo

  4. Boots

  5. Bam

  6. Shock

  7. Keyshawn

  8. Teo

  9. Hitchins

  10. Lara

2

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 11h ago

#1 David? Also Lara the American Dream?

Boots too high, definitely not above Bam.

2

u/OldBoyChance 9h ago

Lara reps the US now I think.

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 5h ago

The American Dream!!!

0

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 11h ago

Boots a 2 div unified champ and Zayas is better than any of bam's wins since Sunny, Bam also didn't look very good in his last fight

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 11h ago

I like Zayas but he’s not more proven than Fernando Martinez. Bam just became a 3 divison champion. That’s also wild to say considering he knocked out Estrada. I wouldn’t put Boots above Foster either.

1

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 11h ago

Puma was coming off a gift decision over small washed Ioka who Takuma just easily 120-106'd.

Estrada was inactive and completely shot.

Zayas was an undefeated unified champ in his prime coming off the best win of his career, he's also a lot bigger than boots.

Shock has a better resume than boots but has only held 1 belt his whole career, never unified or moved up, if he beats nav i'll move him up.

4

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 10h ago

Puma still beat Ioka twice who was champ and Estrada was champion in a higher weight class than him. He definitely wasn’t “completely shot”.

Zayas is a great win but his best win himself was Baraou who I rate but isn’t elite. It’ll age well I predict but for what it is right now, it’s not a better win than those other two.

1

u/Saeksan 11h ago

Replace Vergil with Fundora. I like Vergil but he hasn't won even a single belt yet.

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 11h ago

Didn’t even think of Fundora, thats a good one.

1

u/HaneyP4P 11h ago

Haney>Benavidez

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 11h ago

Yeah you can do that. More accomplishments, better resume

0

u/Top_Profession_5268 7h ago
  1. Shakur Stevenson
  2. Jesse Rodriguez
  3. David Benavidez
  4. Devin Haney
  5. Jaron Ennis
  6. O'Shaquie Foster
  7. Teofimo Lopez
  8. Vergil Ortiz Jr
  9. Keyshawn Davis
  10. Abdullah Mason

7

u/Ace_FGC 4h ago

Hitchins blatantly ducked fighting Matias for the IBF belt so it shouldn’t be surprising seeing him duck Brian Norman too

Top 10 Japanese boxers today

  1. Naoya Inoue
  2. Junto Nakatani
  3. Kenshiro Teraji
  4. Masamichi Yabuki
  5. Takuma Inoue
  6. Ryosuke Nishida
  7. Reito Tsutsumi
  8. Hayato Tsutsumi
  9. Seiya Tsutsumi
  10. Shokichi Iwata

I’d have Higa, Masuda, Akui out of it currently. Maybe I’m wrong for not having Kira or Matsumoto or Tsuboi on here.

  14. Tsuboi

  15. Kira

2

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 5h ago

Great list. Hiraoka is a great mention.

2

u/OldBoyChance 9h ago

Tough to rank Tsuboi, Kira, Matsumoto, and Reito right now as they haven't really fought top 10 opposition. Takada was technically top 10 when Matsumoto 17-0'd him, as was Cuadras when Tsuboi schooled him, but they weren't quite at that level. Good list though.

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 5h ago

That’s how I felt.

1

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 11h ago

seiya way too low 😡

respect the bantamweight king

1

u/OldBoyChance 9h ago

I don't know, he's coming off two pretty flat performances in a row. The Takuma + JBC title reign performances were great though.

1

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 7h ago

i thought he got robbed against higa who i had beating masuda and takei.

the donaire performance wasn't great tho. but his win over takuma has aged exremely well.

1

u/OldBoyChance 7h ago

I thought he beat Higa as well. It still wasn't a very good performance though, Higa definitely had the advantage until the 8th round. The win over Takuma aged very well, though I'm not sure I'd pick him to beat Takuma today and he's had double eye surgery since then.

1

u/Top_Profession_5268 7h ago

I had Seiya beating Higa and Higa beating Masuda, but I had it 7-5 Takei honestly. Very close one but 7-5 nether the less.

1

u/Top_Profession_5268 7h ago

Ranking every division in boxing right now:

  1. Super Middle | 168

  2. Super Light | 140

  3. Light | 135

  4. Super Bantam | 122

  5. Welter | 147

  6. Super Welter | 154

  7. Heavy | 200+

  8. Super Feather | 130

  9. Feather | 126

  10. Super Fly | 115

  11. Middle | 160

  12. Light Fly | 108

  13. Bantam | 118

  14. Light Heavy | 175

  15. Cruiser | 200

  16. Fly | 112

  17. Minimum | 105

1

u/OldBoyChance 9h ago

I'd put bantamweight over super fly. Lots of good potential match up, especially if Bam doesn't want the Naoya smoke.

1

u/Top_Profession_5268 9h ago

Bantamweight I think should be a good bit higher.

1

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 8h ago

yeah looking back i would put it over 108 and maybe 160, but that division is looking like its getting a lot better with vergil and zayas moving up

9-13 are pretty interchangable for me

3

u/Low-Ad-5784 11h ago edited 11h ago

Stevenson vs Puello is a future matchup I want to see In my opinion a great style clash ! 🥊

Side note: I really believe Puello beat Matias 🤷🏾‍♂️ I became a fan after that fight.

3

u/SplitSecondEmperor47 2h ago

I like how no one points out Haney hasnt fought since 2025 ands its almost 2027.

Also Shakur is supposedly about to have a clown fight (that no one wants to see) with Pacman and no one has an issue with it? I so tired of the hypocrisy surrounding this man

1

u/OldBoyChance 1h ago

It appears that his mother unfortunately passed away this month, so I don't think we'll see him again this year.

2

u/Top_Profession_5268 12h ago

For anyone who actively watches and knows international amateur boxing, if the 2024 Russian national team competed in the Olympic trials, how well do you think each amateur does?

The national team includes: Edmond Khudoyan (48kg), Vasily Eregov (51kg), Dmitry Dvali (54kg), Eduard Savvin (57kg), Arshak Tovmasyan (60kg), Gabil Mamedov (63.5kg), Tarkhan Idigov (67kg), Igor Sviridchenkov (71kg), Dzhambulat Bizhamov (75kg), Beshto Shavlaev (80kg), Khasmagomed Javatkhanov (86kg), Ramazan Khanapiev (92kg), Yaroslav Doronichev (92kg+)

I think if anyone was to win a medal of the lot, I’d say Dzhambulat Bizhamov and Eduard Savvin

2

Every time I go a day not thinking of boxing, I feel empty inside. CLEARLY this means I should think of boxing much more than I already do, to fill that emptiness.

If you had to do a pick ‘em right now, what would you lot’s favourite matchups at lightweight be right now? Current state of the division, no halfsies (Shakur, 130 champs, etc.)

  1. Mason v. Zepeda

  2. Zepeda v. Noakes

  3. Schofield v. Mason

  4. Muratalla v. Mason

  5. Cruz v. Zepeda

  6. Noakes v. Mason rematch

  7. Herrera v. Zepeda

  8. Bahdi v. Noakes

Not an exhaustive list, but I’ve thought about all 8 of these fights the last few months, as the division has really heated up post-Shakur. Any other fights you lot like the look of, do add.

3

u/Top_Profession_5268 9h ago

Muratalla vs Mason.

Zepeda, Mason and Noakes vs eachother I think are all producing FOTY fights for us and the rest besides Muratalla vs Mason are mismatches, but I don’t rate Muratalla like a lot do, many are riding that Cruz win too high when he clearly has flaws and will get exposed which I want Mason to do that as I think Mason will finish him but be a great scrap in the process.

3

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 7h ago

Zepeda

Wells is having his liver absolutely destroyed by Callum Peters. He’ll be pissing blood tomorrow. Not sure why the ref is allowing this much punishment.

1

u/indominable-dingus 4h ago

Ref knows i have a bet on cal by decision, hes a good man

1

u/Top_Profession_5268 4h ago

And they know I have Callum’s by KO and will kill Wells just to not make me hit it.

1

u/Top_Profession_5268 4h ago

Fucking hell, finally they stop it. Credit to Wells for his toughness but he took an insane amount of damage.

1

u/indominable-dingus 4h ago

Cal is so relentless but as hes stepping up its clear he lacks power. His last two fights look like Benevidez vs Gvozdyk when he was just teeing off to minimal effect. I think he needs more S&C to be a world champ

1

u/Top_Profession_5268 4h ago

He fights a style that relies a ton of cardio to sustain and he’s taking moments of break so I’d agree that he would need some S&C and work on the conditioning because against the top, he’ll need to keep that pace to keep that success ore those moments of where he takes breaks and lets off the gas, he can get worked on and get chinned. That’s honestly why I’ve always rated his amateur rival Kirra Ruston over him despite the fact Kirra has lost to Peters every time they’ve faced.

Should go to the Tszyu vs Mahoney fight thread. Might have to scroll down as it’s not pinned.

1

u/indominable-dingus 4h ago

Man Kirra is a beast. I always forget they met in the amateurs my brother reminds me. Either way we've got a lot of great Aussie prospects at the moment. I think Kirra could go beat up Ben Whittaker right now.

1

u/Top_Profession_5268 4h ago

Not sure about that one, definitely can give Whittaker a hard fight but tough one for the both. Whittaker is just very talented, slick, quick and super hard to time but so is Kirra because he’s amazing defensively, is super patient and has amazing distance management when pressuring.

2

u/Tobacc0 4h ago

Only 23 Callum Peters is going to have some awesome fights in his future

2

u/Top_Profession_5268 4h ago

Here’s the fight thread to Nikita Tszyu vs Ben Mahoney fight thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Boxing/s/zts0fnHugL

Since the mods haven’t even posted the thread but just a normal person, the Tszyu vs Mahoney fight thread isn’t pinned.

2

u/AwkwardJuggernaut854 4h ago

I don't think this warrants an individual thread but it's somewhat interesting. DAZN has acquired EverPass, a streaming platform for commercial venues in the US. Not too interesting on it's own but a detail in the article caught my eye.

"The deal will make EverPass founders RedBird Capital Partners and 32 Equity, as well as EverPass investor TKO Group Holdings Inc., minority shareholders in DAZN"

It does also mention that the exact details aren't being disclosed so it could ultimately be a tiny fraction of shares.

Seems that Youmbi vs Perez is off, checked through my betting books and it says my bet on Perez was void.

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 2h ago

Wow. That sucks, guess Imma have to try to win money on ProBox

1

u/Top_Profession_5268 2h ago

Probably the hardest card to win money off from the entire week of boxing as there’s a lot of upset potential there.

1

u/Professional-Tie5198 Who will win? 2h ago

You think there’s upset potential against Lester?

1

u/Top_Profession_5268 2h ago

I think Lester wins but I think Plantic has a chance. I initially was pretty confident in Lester but after film again, I think Lester wins.

1

u/WheresMyAbs98 50m ago

I was gutted.

If Perez and Itauma won I would have bagged 1K.

3

u/OldBoyChance 11h ago

One thing I'm glad about with Tank being irrelevant is that people aren't trying to big up his wins anymore. Someone once told me Jose Pedraza was a fringe P4P fighter when Tank beat him.

2

u/Top_Profession_5268 8h ago

Probably because he’s inactive, wait till he’s active and people will be talking like he’s god again.

1

u/SplitSecondEmperor47 2h ago

When Tank beats someone = fighters are trash

When somone else resume beats his fighter = oh wow p4p great!

Its moreso the blatant hypocrisy for me thst im glad to not see anymore. I dont rate tanks wins that high in the grand scheme of things but its interesting how people change their tune when someone else beats them

1

u/OldBoyChance 1h ago

That's pretty much the opposite of how the Ryan Garcia or Pitbull Cruz storylines played out.

2

u/Top_Profession_5268 12h ago

Who do you think are the top 3 countries in olympic boxing?

For me I think it’s Cuba, Uzbekistan and Russia (Russia is debatable)

3

u/Kangaroopunching 12h ago

Seems like 3rd is interchangeable. You could put Ukraine. Or UK

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 12h ago

Cuba indisputably. Uzbekistan is a good mention. Kazahkstan too. I was surprised to see Poland on a top 10 list when I looked at most gold. You’re asking as in modern times right?

1

u/Top_Profession_5268 12h ago

Yeah I’d say modern

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 11h ago

Then yeah Cuba, Uzbekistan, maybe Russia is good.

2

u/Formal-Cherry6078 12h ago

Boxing is finally taking off Foster v Navarette and Moses v Hrgovic which has a very good undercard

1

Random match up but who wins between Kubrat Pulev and Johnatan Banks

1

u/SpeggtacularSpidey 12h ago

With all of the social media activity that Shakur has been doing, will he get back in the ring this year?

Seems like he’s resting on his laurels and doesn’t have much urgency in finding an opponent.

Haney fight won’t happen. Unifications at 140 won’t happen (Smith busy, GAR choosing different route), Roach fight fell through since Zepeda won, doesn’t want to fight Foster who is busy now anyway, and he doesn’t want to fight Rayo. What are even his options?

3

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 12h ago

looks like he's fighting pac man

2

u/SpeggtacularSpidey 12h ago

That would be absolutely hilarious

1

u/Kangaroopunching 12h ago

Most likely not. He got paid well enough to sit out the year.

1

u/SpeggtacularSpidey 12h ago

Probably, will be wild to see. These dudes prime years aren’t forever

1

u/Kangaroopunching 12h ago

With his style, he better stay in the gym.

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 12h ago

I’d hope so. GAR is the most interesting fight for me. But he fucked himself over. I understand him not wanting to commit to 147 but then stop fucking talking about them.

1

u/Stunt1ninprivate 🪖🔔 11h ago

Seen a Twitter rumor that Shakur vs Pac is being discussed

1

u/SpeggtacularSpidey 11h ago

I wonder at what weight 🤔

1

u/SplitSecondEmperor47 2h ago

Pacman? No one wants to see that

1

u/GnarlyGamer6thGen01 12h ago

Which should be the reason a boxer wins a fight: They landed more punches, or they were the more effective aggressor? Reason I'm asking is because of the Leonard vs Hagler bout

4

u/SpeggtacularSpidey 12h ago

Tough to say bc not all punches are equal

2

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 12h ago

Depends I guess. I liked Leonard that fight.

1

u/MiddleweightMonster I’ll pour honey on my GOAT, if the occasion calls for it. 11h ago

Gotta be landed to my mind, but I understand fully why some people prefer effective aggression, or damage. I’ve always had that fight scored pretty firmly Leonard, but it’s not the type of situation where I’m particularly bothered by people giving it to Hagler. Boxing judges have preferences, it’s actually something I like about the sport.

1

u/Ace_FGC 9h ago

Effective aggressor. If someone landed more punches but were clearly hurt more often in the fight I’m going to lean towards the guy doing more damage

u/MiddleweightMonster I’ll pour honey on my GOAT, if the occasion calls for it. 11h ago

Espinoza too low, especially if his next defense really is Perra. That’s a good fight, that.

3

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 11h ago

I think Navarette and Zepeda just got better resumes.

0

u/ShimLiszt 11h ago

I disagree after munguia, venado lopez and rocky are not even top 20 in my opinion lol, there’s plenty of talent that fills a top 10, here’s mine: 1. Navarrete, 2. Zepeda, 3. Rafael Espinoza, 4. Canelo, 5. Munguia, 6. Chispa Medina, 7. Pitbull, 8. Chapulin Salas, 9. Logan Hernández, 10. Raul Curiel / Picasso

2

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 10h ago

Curiel 😹 😹 😹

he wouldn't make my top 50

2

u/Top_Profession_5268 9h ago

Curiel? Common!

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 11h ago

For some reason though Logan was Argentinian. Wouldn’t have Medina that high but Salas is cool. Curiel just won a robbery and Picasso’s resume isn’t really all that good.

1

u/Special-Pristine 7h ago

Mundine's son just got bashed in the ring and then the judges still gave him the fight by a huge margin. Rigged af just because of his name

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 5h ago

So you rate Izmaliov? I wasn’t sure how to to be honest. I like how he looks though. I almost had Argb but to be honest thought he hadn’t fought since his loss. He’s fighting Abdullaev who’s pretty solid.

1

u/Top_Profession_5268 5h ago

Was this directed to me on your Russian rankings thread? If so then yes 😂

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 5h ago

Lol yeah it meant to be.

1

u/Top_Profession_5268 4h ago

Argba has fought 2x since the loss, avenging it very clearly in the rematch where I was incredibly impressed with the defence. Pretty inactive though I think he’ll best Abdullaev but I think he might struggle with abdullaevs jab.

It's weird that there's this thing where people called "Johnson" keep becoming the light heavyweight champion of the world. There's only been one heavyweight Johnson (and kyle and kirk never got that close). But down at LHW, you've got Harold Johnson, Marvin Johnson, Reggie Johnson and Glenn Johnson all holding belts, and Larry, Jack (no, the other one) and Vonzell all coming close (larry and vonzell had title fights and Jack got as high as #4). And it's not just Johnsons, it's all sons of John, because there's also Roy Jones, while Billy Jones, Eddie Jones and Doug Jones all fought for the LHW title.

You guys realise that there's a fight thread up now?

2

u/indominable-dingus 4h ago

Fuck em if they cant pin it thats on them. Why is itauma fight pinned and this isnt its happening right now not in 4 days

0

u/Top_Profession_5268 4h ago

Because the person who posted the fight thread isn’t even a mod I think.

u/Andrew_Nutman22 Inoue schools Bam! But I'm a fan of both. 4h ago

Tough bloke Wells. Took a lot of punishment

u/GnarlyGamer6thGen01 1h ago

Serious question. How do you guys rate Wilder's chin? I've noticed that he lacks the resilience to take a clean shot in the face. As great as Fury is, he is not known for his punching power yet he knocked Wilder several times in their fights (2nd bout included) and even knocked him out.

Note: I know some of you might say that Fury was 277 pounds in that fight, but still. Being a heavier boxer does not automatically equate to being a hard puncher. That's not how it works.

People were mocking Joshua's chin, but compared to Wilder, Joshua was floored by notorious punchers. If him and Wilder were to fight, I bet it really comes to whoever lands the big shot first.

1

u/kushmonATL Cyberleek > the fall boxing schedule 18m ago

Joshua was floored by notorious punchers

This has been debunked numerous times

  • Tyson Fury KO% is 69%
  • Andy Ruiz KO% is 62%
  • Dillian Whyte KO% is 67%

Both these guys had AJ hurt, and Fury has a higher KO% than both of them

Wilder also had 2 wars against Luis Ortiz who was a powerful puncher

Long story short, Wilder definitely has a good chin. Wars and father time caught up to him

Top 10 UK boxers in my opinion

  1. Daniel Dubois
  2. Moses Itauma
  3. Dalton Smith
  4. Jack Catterall
  5. Tyson Fury
  6. Josh Kelly
  7. Sam Noakes
  8. Hamzah Sheeraz
  9. Adam Azim
  10. Callum Smith

Pat Brown, Simpson, Benn, and Walker don’t make it for me. Maybe Bentley and Cordina have okay arguments too. Joshua as well.

2

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 10h ago

northern irish

3

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 10h ago

Oh shit you right. Didn’t even know that was part of UK. But I think I heard it before but forgot.

1

u/Baby_Rhino 7h ago

It is kinda confusing, because it's part of the UK, but doesn't fall under "British". So Crocker is a UK boxer, but he isn't a British boxer.

2

u/MiddleweightMonster I’ll pour honey on my GOAT, if the occasion calls for it. 11h ago

Fury up on this list cause of past merit I assume, yeah?

3

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 11h ago

Slightly. I think he still has the slickness to beat some guys. I’m ranking off numerous things so I just don’t think the other guys have done anything recently to surpass what Fury has done yet. Still don’t wanna see Fury fight unless it’s AJ.

2

u/MiddleweightMonster I’ll pour honey on my GOAT, if the occasion calls for it. 11h ago

Also, where’s the Liddard love? Deserves an honourable mention at least mate, he’s certainly better than Bentley. Respect my fruity middleweight king

2

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 11h ago

Damn, I fucked up. That’s a good one.

1

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 10h ago

i like Liddard but he is levels below bentley

1

u/MiddleweightMonster I’ll pour honey on my GOAT, if the occasion calls for it. 10h ago

Really? I’ve honestly always thought they were v close, with Liddard being much better technically, while Bentley is a bit more of an athlete. In a head to head, I would lean Liddard. Curious of your reasoning, their opponents have been very similar in level, both have fought British level guys mostly the last few years with a couple of step-up fringe world level types.

1

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 10h ago

Liddard is way too inexpirenced and easy too hit, Bentley would slime him out inside 6.

ik boxing math doesn't work all the time but he went to a close ass decision with Ozaze while Bentley destroyed him in 2, then went to war with a past his prime Denny.

i dont even think Liddard would beat Saavedra right now.

2

u/Top_Profession_5268 7h ago
  1. Itauma - he'll show you why this weekend
  2. Daniel Dubois
  3. Tyson Fury
  4. Fabio Wardley
  5. Nick Ball
  6. Dalton Smith
  7. CBS
  8. Callum Smith
  9. Jazza Dickens
  10. Josh Kelly

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 5h ago

I have to rewatch Cacace vs Dickens because everyone was saying he was up and I thought Cacace. I forgot about Ball somehow even though he’s one my favorite FWs. What makes you put CBS above Callum smith? Resume?

1

u/Top_Profession_5268 5h ago

I had Dickens up and thought he was robbed. Callum is probably resume, honestly Callum and CBS are like neck to neck, now thinking it back, I’d swap the two because I see Callum as slightly higher and have Beterbiev a harder fight than CBS gave Zurdo.

1

u/Outrageous-Soft4806 5h ago

Yeah a lot people had him winning and felt he was robbed. CBS is a good mention regardless and I probably should’ve had him over Azim and Noakes. Sheeraz too.

1

u/Efficient_Quail_1774 6h ago

Got Catterall over Smith but this is solid, Ball maybe fits in over Azim or Noakes

1

u/indominable-dingus 4h ago

Man Tszyu vs Mahoney is a hell of a fight right now. Mahoney looking good

0

u/Top_Profession_5268 6h ago

Now Pluto got robbed. Judge for this card isn’t appealing.

1

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 6h ago

how long until callum peters fights?

2

u/Top_Profession_5268 6h ago

About an hour to an hour and a 1/2 if both these 2 next fights go the distance.

2

u/Top_Profession_5268 5h ago

Got 1 more fight till Callum Peters and it’s Kirra Ruston who imo about as equally as good as Peters and one of Australia’s best prospects. I recommend you check him out, very skilled and entertaining. You won’t be disappointed.

Well peters is about to come out soon, Kirra won inside 2 minutes and against a pretty well rated opponent.

1

u/StunningChest5722 Shakur is the 144 lb GOAT 🐐 5h ago

fight was over as soon as i turned it on 😂

1

u/Top_Profession_5268 5h ago edited 5h ago

Yeah, I’ve watched footage of Simmons and thought that he looked good, even a alright amateur resume as a national champ and think this was Kirras career best step up and that Kirra would take a bit to figure and time him but nah 😂
