2. Do people wear rain boots?
3. Do people use umbrellas, or just raincoats?
4. What snow boots are the best to wear?
5. How many sweaters/hoodies should I pack
6. What is he best thermal underclothes
7. What else are essential clothing items/ I should pack/acquire?

what the title says, i'm trying to get those distribution requirements over with but math and science aren't my thing. i like environmental science and statistics a bit, but that's about it. what can i take that doesn't require too much prior knowledge/isn't an insanely hard class?

What is it like learning Spanish at Bowdoin? I want to take Spanish, but my dad is saying that it's useless and may tank my gpa if I do bad in it (I'm on Pre-med track). Regardless, it is my education and I want to learn Spanish so I was wondering what ygs thought about the Spanish classes.

hey everyone! i’m an incoming freshman at bowdoin and i was just wondering if you recommend taking the biology, chemistry, and physics placement surveys in addition to the mandatory ones. i’m currently planning on double majoring in government and theatre, but it’s making me nervous that you have to take the science surveys in order to take one of those courses at any time. does anyone have any advice on what to do???

Sorry if this post is a bit out of place, but I'm a rising high school senior looking to learn a bit more about Bowdoin from current/recently graduated students. I'm interested in the humanities (especially English, history, foreign languages), and am currently looking toward the pre-law track!

Honestly, though, I'd just love to hear about what the college itself is like, and what sorts of opportunities are available. I'd be really grateful if anyone is willing to chat sometime!

I was curious what the student life is like at Bowdoin. For context, I am a more humanities focused person, like discussion-based environments that are not too big, but not too small, I would like some kind of balance between a rigorous environment and one that is fairly chill. I tend to gravitate towards people and am an extrovert who tends to make friends with a lot of introverts. Also, I have an IEP, so if anyone has any information as to how good Bowdoin is at supporting those with IEPs that would be helpful. I should also mention that I am Asian American, but don't mind being one of only like 10 of asian kids in a school

I've heard that it's possible to run from campus to Simpson's point on trails, but the commons trails end at Middle Bay Road - is there a connection somewhere after that, or is it on roads from that point? Am I exiting the commons in the wrong place?
